Been using C4D and Octane for a long time, even had complains about this way before the 5.0 version, and tried to figure it out so many times. You deserve a big F-ing statue! I never ever heard of the OCTANE version of the Project Inspect Manager. Thank you so much!
When I do this, the materials link with the native C4D material manager, but when I open the Octane Material Manager, there is absolutely nothing listed and there is no option for me to link because there isn't a list. I tried clicking on all the materials that it created for Redshift and used the "Convert Material" from octane, it converts the materials but they are all blank and do not work, but the materials work on redshift. I also do not have the c4D octane project file, this is a FBX file and an OBJ file i have tried this process with and have not had luck with it.
My problem with the texture manager is that it either doesn't respond at all or it changes the \ into a / which then isn't working. Or it duplicates the pathname in the path input...
Hey thanks a lot ! I have a small question, and see if you have the same issue. Let's suppose now that your scene is working, you copy a building into a new clean scene. Did you manage to find a way to relink the texture into that new scene ? Because in my case, i'd tried everything that came to my mind, and didn't found any solution. Of course, i've tried to replicate your solution, but it didn't work. Still, thanks for the video, and let me know if you found a solution to that mistery.
Re-linking with this same method didn’t work? Also try saving your individual building scene first. I’ll have to look into it further if that isn’t working!
@@happytoolbox im experiencing the same problem. it relinks leaving "./ " before the directory path but doesn't show any updated texture unless you manually open the directory and select your texture
Thank you so much
saved me a few hours of annoying clicking on all textures

That means a ton! Thank you!

Yes!
You are quite the lifesaver
Thank you folk! Saved my work
Great to hear!
Thank you so much man !!

Gracias😍
If this way is not working then simply use the cinema default file inspector and relink the textures .....worked for me :)
Must be a newer octane patch that’s great to hear!
Goood!!
Oh boy otoy.
👍

This makes no sense at all lol maybe in a very specific scenario.
