- President Joe Biden to action to allow hundreds of thousands of undocumented spouses of U.S. citizens to apply for permanent residence and eventual citizenship, without having to leave the country, and takes steps to Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) beneficiaries and other young immigrants to more easily qualify for work visas. We will hear from the president and Republican senators and talk Washington Post immigration reporter Maria Sacchetti. (2)
Boeing CEO David Calhoun apologizes at a Senate hearing to the families of victims of two 737 Max plane crashes and is questioned by Senators about new whistleblowers who claim Boeing intentionally hid faulty airplane parts from regulators.
Senate Democrats try to bring up and pass a bill to ban bump stocks, device that can make semiautomatic rifles fire rapidly, but they are blocked by Republicans. Last week the Supreme Court struck down a federal prohibition on bump stocks that was based on a law making machine guns illegal.
Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he received assurances from U.S. Sec of State Antony Blinken that the U.S. will unlock weapons shipments to Israel that the Biden Administration has held up. We will hear from both of them.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg speaks about Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to North Korea to thank its leader Kim Jung Un for supporting Russia in its war against Ukraine.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) introduces a bill to require technology companies to remove deepfake artificial intelligence pornographic images, after Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) tried and failed to pass a bill that would allow victims to sue.
