LC200 - 2.5 OEM King Shocks Testing (Custom Valving)

This was my 200 series Land Crusier last year. Before I installed the long travel system upfront. It was actually doing very good for the amount of travel it had. It had OEM King shocks from the local dealer here at Qatar (Power One Garage).
Options:
1. Custom Color
2. Custom Valving (Not sure of the shim stacks, but I could tell for the front coilovers that they were thicker than a 0.15 and it did have a double flutter stack).
3. Foam Bumpstops (Front and rear).
4. Black hose.
5. Short Finned reservoir (Cosmetic)
6. Custom Length 1 inch long shaft.
7. 700LB Coilover springs (700 x 3.0 x 16 to be specific) as opposed to the standard 600 x 3.0 x 14.

Like butter smooth.. very comfortable.. you adjust to mid setting, when offroading dial it up..

I have an question pleaz it s important to installe the uca when we want to install suspensions? or can we just simply install shocks and springs?what s the difference pleaz ?

You can install shocks on stock upper control arms, its fine. The only 2 differences are durability, and a very small amount of added down travel (not really noticeable in terms of ride quality).

That is awesome! Can I know what kind of rear springs you are using? Is the car lifted or not?

2.5 inch lift upfront, 2 inch lift in the rear. My rear coil springs were KINGSPRINGS blue comfort series springs.
However, I discovered that softer spring rates are superior for ride quality offroad so I only use stock springs with rubber spacers in the rear now.

It would still feel harsh, well depending on the sharpness of the speedbump. This is a misconception.

Nice work! I assume you reduced compression shims and added rebound?

Thanks!, The compression damping on low speed was pretty soft, however I did add allot of high speed compression damping to handle big jumps and hits, works very well. On rebound it is two stages(or stacks) heavier than the KING Standard valving. It now opens up much slower on high speed hits and is in so much more control. However the cost of having that control is less plushiness since it doesn't bounce. Pros and cons.

@@mohammedshejeer145 They have much more traction, however they are worse on small bumps and can dig up if not deflated enough. The desert maxx's is more comfortable and floats over the sand easier. But is much more slippery.
