Great video! I wish I had watched before taking my delivery of Model X. On top of issues you mentioned, I also have two problems, one is the total lack of storage space/compartments in the second row. For a 5 seater, the middle seat can’t even fold down as armrest and cup holders; nor there are any door pockets; the second is directly related to Tesla, which just can’t find much after market items for Model X, at least right now.
Hi Ming. I use the drink and the rear cargo trunk space when I have groceries or other things. Definitely not enough storage elsewhere. Thanks for the positive feedback and for watching!
Great video! I'm getting a plaid in October and watching this I know I need to get the windows tinted and also get paint protection based on your prior video. Keep the uploads coming.
That’s awesome. You have to let me know when you get and tell how fast it is. I’m going to ceramic tiny the front windshield either this week or next. Thanks for the support and for watching!
There is a dedicated “Neutral” button located on the “Controls” screen. It’s on the lower right next to Sentry button. The buttons on phone charger center console are not your only option for this.
Thank you for your perspectives. How is the ride quality (compare to other known luxury brands like BMW X5, MB GLE, Audi Q7...)? I'm getting mine in January and anxious to know if the ride comfort is worth the price.
Hi Rooz. Ive owned an X5 and the Audi Q7. The X5 was more sporty feeling the the X and the Q7 felt a little too floaty. I think the X is right between both of them. You can also adjust the suspension to you liking as well. So in my opinion the ride is awesome.
The roof and the rear doors are not tinted, they are frosted from the Tesla factory. I would recommend an actual ceramic tinting of the entire glass areas, including the front windshield . I would recommend 30 on the roof area covering your head area and 50% around windshield area and you will definitely notice the difference. I have had an earlier 2020 Model Y Long Range which I sold a few months ago and now I have a late 2021 Model Y Performance. Both of them I completely ceramic tinted all my windows, roof and windshield. As I live in Southern California and it gets to 115 at times in the summer and I have taken trips to Arizona in the summer as well for my kids lacrosse tournaments. The ceramic tinting has reduced the heat by at least 20%, which is an energy saver for electric vehicles and what I also love, is it controls the glare into my eyes in direct sunlight. Think about it
@@teslaownersperspective1968 I have 50% on my front windshield without any problems at night. It is in the 80’s here all Super Bowl week and that’s why I tinted my windows, because it’s like this over 300 days a year

@@teslaownersperspective1968 I think if you take your palm and cover the entire right side of the yoke where the horn button is, the horn will sound without having to touch the single button. In my Model X, I just position the visor to where it blocks out the sun. It doesn't swivel while driving even though it's not docked. The sun is small enough to be fully blocked out by the visor when positioned correctly - don't necessarily have to lock it on the down position. Works for me. Nice vids, keep up the great work. I actually bought the same floormats as yours after watching your video on them.
I’m going to add ceramic coating to the windshield and see if that helps. I hope you like the mats. They work fine with all the snow we have here. Thanks for support and for watching. Greatly appreciated!
Like what Tien wrote. I move the visor to where it blocks the sun. You don’t have to lock it in place. You can move it to the desired position and it holds the position in place even though you’re not locked into down position.
I live in Arizona and cannot imagine what these newer partial/all glass roofed vehicles would be like here, the Sun is brutal. It's a feature that will be interesting to see how people feel about this.
The front windshield is beautiful. I love how much you can see everything from the front seat. Having said that, it's also a curse because the visor is almost useless. You have to invest in a very good pair of sunglasses or you're going to have a hard time driving in the direction of the sun. Great comment and thanks for watching!
My 2016 Model X came with a sunshade for the top half of the windshield. I also wore a baseball cap while driving it. Your gripes are legitimate. The falcon wing doors can be a pain too.
I guess the refresh X doesn't have that additional sunshade on top. Im going to be adding ceramic tint to the upper half of the windshield. Just ashamed that I have to add this when Tesla could've done a better job at sun protection. Thanks for the comment and for watching!
Thank you for your video. Sadly, all your complaints are basically the same ones that people had since the first Model X came out. As for the problem with the upper part of the windscreen letting in too much sun: Tesla previously provided a sunshade that you could put in which fixes the issue. So my main complaint there is that a car which has a 6 figure sticker price has a sunshade which needs to be installed manually (while the car is parked). Even some sort of roll down sunshade that you could just grap and pull down while driving would have been much better (doesn't even have to be motorized). But once installed, the sunshade totally fixes the blinding issue (at least for me). And you can even see through it enough to eg. see overhead traffic lights. And the whipers - once you got some salt on your windscreen at highway speed there is just not enough fluid coming out of the lower parts of the whipers. So, the lower part of the window always stays a bit dirty.
I think Tesla used to deliver the X with the sunshade that reference but with the refresh version they do not. Im going to add ceramic tint to the upper portion of the windshield. Tesla could've also done a better job with the fluid in the wipers. They totally lack in spraying enough to clean the entire windshield when there's a lot of salt from the car driving in front of you. Great comment and thanks for watching!
@@teslaownersperspective1968 There are third parties that make a similar sunshade to what Tesla offers. Odd thing is that Tesla doesn't appear to have it in their accessory shop. It's possible they might still have it through the parts counter though.

Unfortunately no. Just side to side. It isn't even a real visor. I don't know what to call it. Maybe a cool design that doesn't work? Junk? Fake visor?
Lol
Can the windshield be tinted darker? Very annoying.
I meant to call the tint shop last week but had to go out of town. Gonna call them tomorrow and I'll post what they say. If they can do it I'll film it and post it to the channel. Thanks for the question and for watching!
@@teslaownersperspective1968 Does Tesla respond to owner suggestions for improvement? The visor is pathetic.
@@michelemichele6387 I don't think so. Tesla does what Tesla wants.
what about rattling noise?
I have an appointment on March 1st and Im going to have Tesla look into everything I listed and then some. Thanks for the question and for watching!
That’s something you could do yourself take it to a window tinting shop fix the problem
I prefer to have Tesla repair it since its under warranty.
You need a hat for the sun.
Lol. You're right. Thanks for the chuckle and for watching!
Tbh I think that lucid did a bit better then Tesla
It’s definitely a nice car. Nice interior. I think the big difference between teslas and the other ev makers is the charging infrastructure. Tesla has super charger all across the country for the long road trips and helps alleviate range anxiety.
