Hey, I have really bad acne. Really really bad acne. So I went to a dermatologist (which is the best thing you can do) and they told me to apply a product which is a mixture of pure benzoyl peroxide and antibiotic. It worked really nicely. My scars started to fade and my breakouts decreased.
What I'm trying to say is that if you have bad acne, please don't watch this kind of videos because these girls aren't doctors. They can know as much as they do about beauty and regular skincare, but harsh acne is a totally different topic.
The best thing you can do is asking a doctor about what to do and what treatment suit better your skin type as well as which products work better for your specifict problem.

Yep. My friends' bad acne actually turned out to be from a hormone imbalance that her OBGYN overlooked... which turned out to be endometriosis, aggravated by her hormone therapy formulation. Fun! Sometimes it pays to see an endocrinologist and a dermatologist. Really.

I remember when I used to have a day and a night cream, but honestly there was no difference for me. Now I just use a day cream at day and night, I don't feel dehydrated or anything. Honestly if something works, just do that. I feel like the beauty industry has way too many products & are just so focused on consumerism, and if you honeslty don't feel like you need to buy something that people/brands tell you to buy, then just don't buy it.

Cerrydwenn that's true, I have a day cream that contains spf, but I don't use at night haha. I call bs on the day/night creams. the fact that one is more nourishing and the other less is true, but that it affects skin in any way just because you're sleeping is reaching. I'd say don't wear day cream at night if it has spf because that is just not useful and you'd need more extensive cleansing in the morning, and for some people nourishing creams might be too thick to wear under makeup and so on. But they are definitely not formulated with skin regeneration during sleep in mind.

The lie is that moisture exist. ..the true is there aren't any osmosis (absorbing) out of "moisture creams' the only thing you could do to stay hydrated it's drink water. The effect that creams that claim to give moisture is just emollient effect that soften the shape edges of molecules but there is no way that moisture or water can penetrate the skin from outside. personally, since *_most_* skincare products are made to be stored at room temperature, i don't think they should to be refrigerated. the only time to put skincare in your fridge is if you have problem with puffiness in your under eye area. then chilling eye crem/gel would be beneficial. otherwise, there is really no use.

True. I used spot treatment on unopen spot and it was there even on the 4th day. It works well if I pop the acne or pimple, wash my face, clean with toner and apply the spot treatment. Acne does takes time though. But if you caught an acne when it just started to start, you have higher chance to combat it without popping it first. I love salicylate better than benzoyl because benzoyl just dried my skin but didn't clear my acne. Anyway, thanks for this nice video, I learned a lot. 😊 Can you girls do a video on how to whiten the eye area? I use whitening product so my face area is whiter than my upper eyes area, I somehow look as if I used eyeshadow even though I didn't.

Haiii, that's so great to hear! Thanks for sharing your experience! Prevention is always better than cure, but sometimes when the pimples need to come out, they just gotta come and so better that we know the right steps to take so that they can disappear as quickly as possible right hahha. Make sure regardless of how your skin is, you're moisturizing well so that your skin is happy and hydrated, and that can actually solve a lot of problems too! Eye area is difficult, because it could be things related to sleep and also diet. Make sure you're getting in at least 7-8 hours of sleep. You can dry a eye cream that's for brightening too, there a lot of different types you can pick from depending on how much you want to spend. But at the end of the day, what will truly fix it from within are changes in your lifestyle, starting from sleep and what you eat :) Hope that helps! - Fel 😘

These vids are super helpful and very necessary. There is constantly a new beauty "IT" thing and sorting through the unnecessary chaff really gets daunting. I'm sure all of us have had that moment where we felt that we needed ALL of the skincare things! Sadly, much of it is like a science project that many don't really understand how to navigate. Mixing two "skincare enemies" could really jack up your skin, without doing the proper homework it's taking a big chance ☹️

It's been shown that spot treatments should be applied after cleansing before moisturizer. This is because the treatment can get to the pore much more easily and has a chance to be more effective. You just either moisturize around the area or wash of the spot treatment then apply moisturizer over the entire face.

VITAMIN C TIP: it stores better in dark-coloured bottles.
The Abnormal Skincare Company sell certain products in their The Ordinary skincare range in dark bottles and others in clear bottles. Their concentrates and serums containing Vitamin C are all in dark bottles, along with some others. They also have detailed instructions on how to use each of their products i.e., time of day, those that work well together and those that don't. The Ordinary skincare range is also fantastic for those on a budget and in need of something a little extra.

Making a cocktail out of it lessens the strength of the product but it's a great way to work something into your regimen that would otherwise be too strong for your skin. Cocktail for a week or two then try layering the products at full force to get the full benefit of your serum once your face acclimates.

You will be able to tell don't worry. It becomes gunky and thick, not runny and translucent like it did in the beginning. I left my bottle with only a little left in it to use something else and then came back to it after a while and it had solid dark orange bits suspended in the liquid. Mind you this was ~2 years after I had initially opened it so it takes a long while to go bad.

    • @JasminMiettunen
      @JasminMiettunen 4 роки тому +3

It's just a common misconception. When unstable forms of vitamin c and niacinamide are combined in high temperatures they react badly. Anything you use, wether internally or externally, should be stable, and your body temperature would never be that high.

    • @anaisdacosta1662

You can take/eat vitamin C, you basically have it in your body all the time (luckily !), but I guess the form of the vitamin C, its concentration in the skin or where it's located in the skin make it not reactive to the acids or the other things.

This video is just cringe. Please do some real research next time.
Vitamin C and niacinamide can be used together, that myth has been debunked. Kind of Stephen has a great blog post on it. Even if you’re sensitive niacinamide doesn’t make it any more irritating than Vit C alone. And this is specific to L-AA, the only Vit C that is irritating or can oxidize.
Many essential oils are not safe for skin and citrus oils cause photosensitivity. And moisturizer is moisturizer, no difference between night and day... just pick a product that works for your skin type and issues

      Hi,
Vous avez raison la vitamine C et niacinamide peuvent être utilisées ensemble.
The studies showing incompatibility between niacinamide and vitamin C date back to the early 1960s (yes, that far). These studies were off from the start because they used non-stabilized forms of both ingredients, whereas both ingredients are typically stabilized when used in modern-day cosmetics formulas.
Niacinamide is a pretty “tough” ingredient; light and air don’t have the same effect on it as they do on antioxidants like vitamin C. What’s important for niacinamide is that the product be formulated at a pH that’s close to neutral. Vitamin C (pure ascorbic acid), on the other hand, does best in a low-pH (acidic) environment. However, nicotinic acid-the undesirable by-product of niacinamide and vitamin C-becomes an issue only when the niacinamide and vitamin C are combined in a high-temperature environment for a long time. That temperature is higher than you’d find in most at-home scenarios, including leaving a box of skincare products sitting outside in the sun for a couple of days.
Also, it’s important to point out that this concern applies only to pure vitamin C, not to its many other forms (such as magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, and ascorbyl glucoside). So, to reiterate, combining ascorbic or l-ascorbic acid with niacinamide is fine.
In short, any studies that show a definite issue from combining niacinamide and vitamin C were conducted in an environment that does not reflect what average skincare products experience during development, manufacturing, or in real-world storage and usage

I actually used Paulas choice BHA exfoliant at night and the ordinary niacinimide in the morning. And I broke out into a small rash around my eyes. Luckily it went away

I bought a Vitamin C serum and I’m very excited to use it! I’ve decided I’m only using it during the nigh.

LovelyMayhem good morning! Which Vit C did you purchase? I bought the one from Mario Badescu back in June. I use it every other night along with the seaweed night cream. I haven’t seen any results. Matter of fact; they irritated my face.
