I used to get the white lines in my nails all the time during my cancer treatment (chemo) because of my anemia, zinc deficiency, etc. I have never heard the wives tale about urine, haha.
my dad has chronic leukemia and the thing with his nails is that they got all bent and weird; like they were drying up and almost splitting apart, or something. real fucked up.
@@some_condiment With me, I had the standard infusions. 4 medicines, a steroid, and a standard IV for hydration over 8 sessions. I would get the white marks when my anemia would get bad or my white blood cell levels dropped before my neulasta shot. That, and nail deformation could also be from trauma, such as treatment, at least in my experience. With radiation, I think it would depend on the level of rads introduced, and how often, but I think the white marks/nail distortion/damage is in direct correlation to the side effects of chemo/radiation and not so much the treatment itself. Dehydration could also be a factor, as during cancer treatment, I would constantly be dehydrated from the nausea and other intestinal issues. So there's a whole slew of problems that crop up. Hell, I was hearing audio at lower pitches. Music I'd listened to for a decade suddenly sounded deeper and off.
