All levels have that nice 'wide shot', which is specially notable in Notak. I personally feel that Yeedil does it best, with the megacorp HQ. Looks like Wily's castle lol
@Stevo Exactly! Every time I hear that place's soundtrack I reminiscence of that big ass sun. Reminds me of when a cartoon or whatever has a desert scene and shows the sun irradiating extreme heat down, it's a similar sound

This song really does capture the intimidation you feel when you get to this planet, knowing that you're at the thugs' stronghold. Also love how you start the level from far outside, and work your way in slowly until you reach the city area. Oh, and that sunset, too, just great stuff all round.
Special with the shot where it shows all the towering buildings and hundreds of ships just flying in and out of orbit after you land and that opening segment plays you know it just got real
If you beat this planet with the wrench, or any of the planets in the latter half of the game with the wrench successfully and without armor, you are a badass
pfff, played it through without even upgrading my armor ;). only the helicoptres are kinda annoying, 'cause of their rapid fire. but for beginners it sure is quite difficult. especially, if they don't know the spider trick against the boss ;D.
And the Minirocket Tube. Otherwise it'll be even more of a pain in the butt trying to kill that one chopper. Edit: Well, apparently the Megaturrets also work exceptionally well against that chopper, so as long as you have it fully upgraded, it shouldn't be too much of a hassle.
I just had a long dream with this entire song in the background. This is giving me such chills. This game is truly a masterpiece. They put so much effort into the second ratchet and clank game
alternating between a 7/4 and 5/4 measure in the "verse" and then a climactic straight 4/4 in the chorus.. just delicious :) this game had some of the best soundtracks imo. they complemented the game so well.
1:35 oh man I remember at that point I was by the bridge with the tanks and thugs behind them opening fire like mad strafing and side flipping. I felt like a actual hero in that moment. Level was hard but I love the soundtrack
This soundtrack is especially memorable simply because of how many times I've died on this level and heard the start of it, loved this level and this game, it really had a banger OST
1:35 Oh man...... I remember trying to get to the Giant Mech Boss, the swarms of enemies were crazy, I kept running out of Ammo for the Mega rocket cannon and the Plasma coil. Great times.
This part of the game made me feel like a badasss, from all of my gear that I've gathered AND from the weapons I've maxed out... Truly brings my eyes to tears!
DEFINITELY my favorite planet of all. Saved enough bolts for the right weapons through out the whole game and got by it like no problem. Freakin love this level and those damn tanks and helicopters.

Such a difficult and memorable level especially getting through the city area to fight the mech boss having to destroy all the henchmen and the helicopters
The game always had sick ass intro views if you know what I mean. I would just stay looking at the view without moving the control once ratchet got out the ship
I remember, fighting unbreakable tanks, leading in front of strong solid troopers that reappear always and when you though it was finish, the fucking copter came and...no amno left.

I was always horrified at the bridge, i don’t think I’ve ever actually approached the tank and the enemies I always used this part to level up the spiderbot glove

Somehow this kids game has a soundtrack that better captures that dystopian feeling than Deus Ex or Cyberpunk.
Someone put a *lot* of money into this

Cyberpunk yeah but have you heard Michael McCann's Deus Ex soundtracks? They're excellent
It's definately not a kids game. Rated T for Teen in the USA with a lot of dirty jokes and adult motives like corporation greed. Such a classic!
I found this planet way harder than the final boss... just remembering this planet makes me want to play again, though! One of the best games on PS2!
The beginning of the song coupled with the view you're given. Insomniac are geniuses.
absolutely
David Bergeaud is the genius
They don't make them like this anymore....👌🔥🔥🔥💯💯🐐🐐
