Thanks for your posts Mike very professional and considerate; great commentary.

Keep them coming please Mike, always good seniors tennis and your comments are always interesting. Aussie John
Thank you for posting this video. Thanks especially for going into the background of these players. Can someone tell me what it means to receive a gold ball?
That signifies the winning of a National Category 1 Tournament which gives 1000 ranking points. Only four are held each year, one each on grass, concrete and clay. And then indoors (not sure of indoor surface). All the best players of an age group show up for the Category 1's. Category 2's are a level below as far as the awarding of ranking points, only 500. But there are something like 16 of them spread throughout the year.
Impressive. I'm not nearly as good as these guys but I sure have gotten better by watching these videos. Thank you.@@10smike
You are welcome!
Myers is the better player, and deserved the win. He's got a great serve for a man of his age ✌
Maybe, but all I saw was the first server win the first tiebreak... Reverse the servers and and the outcome could have easily flopped. TB are BS!
@@shaadydog1 Winning tennis is not always good tennis - this only applies to the pros. Myers has a better serve, with a better backhand and forehand. You could see why he was a pro for 9 years. I would like to seem him play under better conditions. Turville knows how to WIN, even when he's outmatched, so credit to him for staying in the match.
It's Meyers
