I completely agree with you. That's what I kept thinking about during this vid when she was talking about how ppl make/produce false claims and "super foods".
I wondered in her vid where she showed the fruit and said all that it could do...but she said it so I went with it...

Thank you, thank you. Unfortunately many of us have bought into the hype probably more times than we can count. It's always great to be reminded of what's out there and how vulnerable we are. The hype is there but not always as obvious. Great point you made to gather more information from several different sources.
    Thanks for keeping it real.

Awh this video was awesome. Unfortunately many want to believe there’s a single source of food that can give ultimate benefits to your health and that just isn’t the case.
I’m always glad to see someone on the platform that promotes the importance of looking deeply into the facts and not just accepting points as is. Many with bigger platforms are trying to use buzzwords and heavy jargon to promote a product that doesn’t carry the weight that they say and it hurts the public’s health, wealth and trust in professionals that have put the effort into researching and understanding the products we consume.
Really good video with an important point for todays learners!

HAHA you guys are awesome! You totally pulled one over on me. I was so upset by that video that I had stopped watching your channel. Then this reveal video showed up in my feed and I just HAD to see what this so called superfood even looked like. 🤣 I’m so glad I clicked because I had almost written you guys off as just another sellout UA-camr. Now I’m sitting here feeling a range of emotions. Gullible for believing you were serious, relieved that you weren’t, but mostly laughing at myself for falling for it. I guess the real takeaway for me is the realization that despite the vast wealth of good and valuable content you guys have produced, I was almost willing to completely walk away from your channel over a single false narrative. Well done you guys. Now I off to do some personal self reflection.😉

Raising my hand as someone who initially was really "hopeful(?)" about the fruit, and it was only my research (I clicked the link in description on the Harvest) that opened my eyes. Good one though. And I will add, the claims were outlandish, but because they came from someone whose opinions I trust, it gave it more legitimacy. Thank you for showing that.

Impressed by the flow of words. Impressed by many of your videos: great documentary film-making. I suddenly realized that you would not be highlighting the meat industry in America with a husband born in Iran. You are Muslims or more likely Bahais. I've had dinner with my Iranian Bahai friends several times--only chicken--pork and beef big no nos. That family is one of the healthiest I've ever seen. You are here on UA-cam shining a positive light on positive food. You cannot act as dietitians or psychologists to help people with their food problems. There is a TED Talk that plainly describes half of us as at war with food and the other half as people who eat to keep themselves nourished--that's it. Yo-yo dieting and so many lifestyle diseases mean that food is our enemy, not our friend. I confess I've also been sucked into "superfood" labeling on a couple of occasions, so thank you for reminding me that "Labeling matters." For those of you struggling with your food, be brave, be strong and hope one day you discover that food is your best friend.

I have been a skeptic for a while (40 + years) since my father was sold a bill of goods - aloe juice to cure his bone to bone knee pain. Good job on trolling the superfood hype community. I was in the A. fools group, I too can see through the clutter of bodacious claims. I despise the word “superfood” and dislike that some try to capitalize on what should be ordinary seasonal staple foods.
Stay healthy and happy everyone, growing is the key to both. Meanwhile this channel lights that passion and has helped me often through the years.

Although I was sceptical even from only knowing it supposedly contained 'all the vitamins', I still paused the video halfway through to look it up. Having found nothing, I proceeded to comment ('April Fools in March?') before being sure by the end. But if I wasn't a biologist, I could quite easily be taken in by such claims as 'prevents hairloss' and 'natural weight loss chemicals'... it's genuinely scary how much misinformation there is on the internet and I applaud you, Nicole, for doing it justice without ranting... I really enjoyed the video and the comments section!! Still secretly hoping there's an amazing undiscovered fruit somewhere deep in the Andes, Amazon or somewhere else remote that might be a cure for malaria, hairloss or even cancer... here's hoping! 'Til then, a balanced diet will do :D

Hehe, I knew it was a dried lime(or lemon), we use them in India as well! It's instantly identifiable! Had a laugh out of the two videos nevertheless! 😂
    Thanks!

Sorry. I've never been a fan of April fools. I hate deception in all forms and I am not a fan of this either. I guess it does drive the point home, but I kinda figured it was too good to be true. Idk. I'm conflicted by this. I see why it was done, but I feel like there was a better way to do this than lowering yourself to this same standard as big business just to prove a point. I know it's not the popular opinion in this comments section but I stand by it.
