Fun fact: You can legitimately get LV 20 pacifist in the older versions of the game if you use the persistance glitch and kill Mettaton EX around 200 times
the what 👀
PRETTY sure the game overwrites each time you fight Mettaton EX, so if you spare 'em once after the kills the game thinks ya spared 'em.@lemons38
if you go into the undyne letter cutscene at the core entrance, you are locked into true pacifist, meaning you can get to level 15 by killing core enemies from 0 exp
Another way to get level 20 is to pick on Loox
@lemons38 Yeah, I know, just wanted to bring it up.
This took the phrase "kill them with kindness" to a whole other level
2 levels
and counting
@shirleydotxmlproceeds to bonk monsters head
is there a mod of this somewhere?
Player: *pat pat*
Monsters: AAAAaaagh IT HURTS IT HURTS SO MUCH AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
you gained 21 exp
"You gained Love instead of LOVE"
-Sans Undertale
You gained LOVE
but you also gained love
At the same time
So the exp is really "experience" and LOVE its really the Love you get from the monsters!
love experience points
If you hack it
Sure why not
The good ending
Nah it would be
LV= Level
Exp=Experience
Ok, now I'm imagining Frisk running into walls like you do on the No Mercy run hunting enemies yelling "Get back here! I want to be nice to you!".
If i was one of them enemies I guess I would be terrified by the wierd ocasion unfolding at the very moment.
The difference between Genocide and No Mercy runs is specifically that in No Mercy you just push forward without sparing anyone in your way, while on Genocide you run into walls to deliberately grind out and clear every area.
@@Lernos1I mean runnign away or not finding everyone is an indirect mercy
@@h5ypr That sounds... illogical. Mercy is a conscious act. It has no meaning outside of that context, and frankly becomes a mockery of itself: every serial killer has had more "indirect mercy" in their life than actual murder because of the sheer amount of people on this planet that they couldn't get to. In any case, No Mercy runs are what I described in my first comment, they are called this way, that's just it.
@@Lernos1well yeah but those guys COULDNT get to those people. The protagonist could, but they simply didn’t if a genocide is aborted by not finding ‘em all. I would say not even trying to kill someone when you could is indirect mercy, but simply being unable to kill a person and not doing it as a result not in that category.
For example, [NAME] bad person in real life who was unable to reach 7 billion kills did not show any indirect mercy.
Lets say frisk did the bad child run in ruins and snowdin but was too lazy and stopped in waterfall. They were able to find all 18 waterfall residents and kill them, but if they made a beeline for the entrance to hotland and only killed (or found anyway) like 5, they showed indirect mercy to the other 13 because they were definitely able to kill those guys if they wanted too.
Sans is like “fine, you have a large amount of Love, but you didn’t kill anyone”
Yes, if Frisk dont kill anybody, why Sans must bothering?
You didn't gain LOVE, but you _did_ gain Love. Does that make sense?
So the reason it's like this is for 2 reasons: Toby wanted kill counts to be what's primarily checked, and you *used* to be able to get EXP just for damaging enemies. I believe this is still in the demo of Undertale.
In the actual game there is a second way to do pacifist, I call it the Pokemon pacifist, which is just choosing fight then mercy since you don’t gain exp, it’s still pacifist, the reason why I call it Pokemon pacifist is because in Pokemon games you can fight enemy Pokemon to catch them with Pokeballs

*Sans's LV Judgement when Frisk gets to LV 20 by sparing:*
*huh? you look bored.
*i get the feeling you aren't gonna learn anything from this.
*well, guess i gotta judge you then.
*hmm...lv20, huh.
*you've officially reached the maximum.
*however...
*i've been watching you over the course of your journey.
*you never KILLED anyone.
*did you get this far up the roster...
*just by sparing monsters?
*wow.
*you're really something else, huh?
*seems like you won't have any trouble getting past ASGORE.
*welp.
*i'm going to grillby's.
*i'll see you around, kid.
It seems to me that Sans will call us dirty hackers because he understands that in fact it's impossible to gain LOVE not killed anyone
You truly gained love instead of LOVE
Or Level of Violence.
@@alexcat6685 there was no violence involved here, only love
“L too is an acronym it stands for *Level of”*
Undertale, but LOVE actually works as love.
level of violence works as love?
Lots Of Various Emotions.
This is the question I never knew I wanted answered. Thank you so much!
That's what the man's here for
Theres something called murder value, the exp is just visual
Could you theoreticly beat the incredible amount of EXP you need to get above LV 20 with this?
I wanna know!
No. LV20 is the max one.
When you're at LV 20, your stat menu says EXP: 99999, meaning you have accrued 99999 EXP total. It says NEXT: 0, which I take to mean it can't go above LV 20, as if you were actually 0 away from the next level you'd have already leveled up.
Additional thought point: Right before Sans you are at LV 19 with 50000 EXP. After, you are LV 20 with 99999 EXP. Thus, Sans alone is worth at least 1 less EXP than the entire rest of the underground combined, despite his lack of strength.
@@lukario2666 Toby didn't know how to make it procedurally, so he went with YandereDev coding style
@@lukario2666lack of strength is a low blow lol
"you never gained LOVE, but you gained love."
"does that make sense?"

undertale but it's genuinely just level and not level of violence
"you never gained LOVE but you gained LOVE."
-sand on the trail
Interesting fact: In demo version of Undertale, you could get EXP if you just hurt the monster(not killing!)
Holy moly
is there any version of the demo ported for mobile?
if so i'll get to level 20 by hitting loox until the end of time
Sounds pretty logically
@@IvinchIviniv-bnd i mean according to what SNAS ONDERTAYL said it should happen like that
Game if flowey didn’t lie about acronyms:
Love
* finally, LOVE can live up to it's name
if there is a mod of this, I MUST KNOW.
"Hey Kid, Here Is Some Exp For Sparing Me!"
You successfully "executed" kindness!
Frisk: -_-
"Clever, veeerrrrrryyy Clever. Your able to make your own rules, huh? In this world, its kill or be killed. However...Your able to dive into the codes of the game, and make yourself stronger each time you spare? You broke the rules, and shall i."
*kicks you out of the game*
Ahahah yes true 😂
What If you come to Asgore with LV 20, while sparing?
asgore fight but easier
The determining factor for genocide is kill count not level or whatever it is
@@Quilquala
No, it's your Murder value. Kill count is equally inconsequential.
LV doesn't matter Lmao
You can set kill count to 0 and still be on geno, geno is determined by murder value@@Quilquala
Without EXP you would think you were just getting literal love
welcome to the "pacifist route" but you realy get exp and level up like any rpg
I need now another exp bar where whenever monster you spare the exp increases... exp? More like mp (no not mana points, mercy points)
Not for nothing they say love is the strongest feeling
I always have to wonder if Kes posts their thumbnail art anywhere, it's REALLY good.
maybe flowey is saying you’re clever and you “played by your rules” because you made it so you gain LV while sparing 🤔
My rules:
*Opens File0*
*Sets Defense and HP to 99*
“you gained LOVE, but you gained love.”
“wait a minute.”
sans: you didnt gain love but you gained love, you didnt kill anyone but you gained love regardless
frisk: uhhh are you gonna kill me
sans: nah ill let you keep ur levels
The experience you gained are not "execution point" but "experience" and the lv which is "love" is now "level"
You gained love, but you never gained love but you gained love
This is just Undertale but EXP actually stands for Experince Points
When frisk takes what flowey said seriously:
What happens when you use the “real knife” on a pacifist route
Route wise, the game stays the same. But monsters take tons more damage now because your attack is increased by 99.
Also, most monsters (except for some bosses) can be spared instantly as soon as the fight begins.
There’s a simple explanation to why this happens.
The exp won’t get tracked by the game.
It’s all based on a monster kill count.
Which is why Sans doesn’t notice the 20 LV
Fanmade judgement:
"But for you."
"You gained another type of LOVE."
"Level Of antiViolencE."
"EXperience Points."
"I dunno how to say this, but..."
"You didn't gain LOVE, but you gained LOVE."
"We're all rooting for you, kid."
This actually makes Undertale closer to one of its inspirations, Moon: Remix RPG Adventure- at least, the original version of it. It didn't get localized until after Undertale came out.
1:40 bro said PLEASE I FORGIVE YOU UR TOO STRONG TO BEAT ME IM SORRY
LV : level of violence
lv: love
Like an alignment scale
LV(evil) lv(good)
And you get better stuff at lv 1 because you are not stronger in either direction (minus the↕️ alignment of equipment )
_What If You Could Go Past LV 20?_
Your HP stops increasing between 108-111
@@Bro-cx2jc Now What If That Limit Was Removed As Well
@@clairebennett9104 I don't know about that myself. I discovered the first part by changing the file0 values, but even setting HP to 9999 (and it will show up in the menu as such too), it will become 108-111 again when you enter a battle.
I think Kes is the one to answer your second question. They're good at removing coded limitations; I'm Patrick with a 2x4 nailed to my forehead in that case.
@@Bro-cx2jc Lmfao
nah, not possible
Sans when looking at your LV: 🛌👨🏻🦯🛏️
You gained LOVE, but you gained love? That definitely doesn't make sense.
So if Sans' dialogue is dependant on kill count instead of LV, what happens if you kill enough monsters to reach, like, LV 18, but then spare monsters to get to LV 20?
Will Sans still think you have LV 18?
It's not based on LV, it's based on a hidden internal Murder Value
Idea: What if you delete your soul from the attacks
For example, Floweys pellet attacks that are aimed at the players soul
I'm not positive, but I think nothing would happen. Flowey's attacks don't directly target the soul; instead, they're actually targeting the space the soul is inhabiting.
In the beginning when he slowly makes the pellets float toward you, while it's possible to slightly speed up the scene by running into the circle on purpose, if you do not, then the attack terminates before the pellets reach the middle.
So the soul is capable of influencing the lastability of the attacks, but it isn't required to be there.
Sans: Your EXP (Execution points) will count towards your LOVE (Level of violence)...
You got a... Wait a sec... How did you get this if you spared everyone?!?
Frisk: you let sans know that number was on the negative, or pacifist, side of the line.
Sans: oh... Ok... Still, I'll let you pass because you didn't kill a single person or monster.
Idea: What if you kill glyde on genocide but spare a single monster in the core
I will be neutral ending
If you miss a monster after killing mtt neo
When LOVE actually means love
Really brings HOPE im the H(o)P(e) bar
level of violence ❌
love ✅
There’s a mod like this where you can exhaust the count and it says but everyone came and is required for true pacifist
You didn't gain LOVE, but you gained love
In this case, LV actually does mean love
Truly the love become real love
ok now do a normal reset instead of the true reset and vice versa and see if characters react(like flowey)
Undertale but "LOVE" makes sense
Execution point Become an Excellent Point
What if you eat 100 pies on asgore fight?
You get a tummyache.
and then throw up sadly@@imveryangryitsnotbutter
Then you'd do emotional damage to Asgore. Munching on oh so familiar pies while he's drowning in his self-pity and regrets - that's the most epic battle in history
This is the first time lv really is love
Undertale but LOVE makes sense
If I recall, there's a separate internal stat that calculates your Genocide route-ness called MDR.
And I believe that's what actually triggees Genocide events, not the EXP.
Frisk insults them on spare, that's the pain they feel. Leveling up is them getting better at insults.
spare=exp
monsters spare=no limit
no limit=20 lv
LOVE is kinda farcical. The game internally tracks your Murder Level whenever you kill every enemy in an area or kill a boss or mini boss and LOVE is really just a visual and a stat increase.
What happens if you actually save game on Omega Flowey world, and then beat him and reload ur save file?
I friggin love the thumbnail art
When LOVE became love
"Let's go on a date, even if it means killing you 1,000,000 times." Talk about kiss, marry, kill.
1:24 Sans Continues: ...
Sans: Y O U A R E G O N N A H A V E A B A D T I M E!
*Megalovania starts playing*
When you spare a monster, they leave behind dust, giving EXP
That thumbnail looks so fucking awesome man :0
"lets go to date"
**Next scene**
"EVEN IF IT MEANS I WILL KILL YOU 1,000,000 TIMES"
I've been seeing your thumbnails for a while. Do you post the art anywhere?
“Y-yeah, let’s go on a date! EVEN IF IT MEANS I HAVE TO KILL YOU 1000 TIMES!”
-alphlowey, underpants
Now its really "love"
by the way, love 20 is actually only as powerful as love 11 or 12 and love 19 is actually better, thanks @ShayyTV for this info.
“Y-yeah, lets get on a date. EVEN IF IT MEANS KILLING YOU 1000000 TIMES!”
Hol up🤨
1:23 now that make sense
The reason this happens is because of your MURDER LEVEL.
To be fully on the genocide route. You need to have cleared the entire ruins by using fight button.
And have killed toriel.
This is "LOVE" in a legitimate way
The snake scream caught me off guard
What if you put Hotland steam valves everywhere?
P.S. You had to check what would happen if you pick on Lооx. For each pick on ACT, you will receive more EXP when killing Lооx.
if undertale was like every other rpg:
well this is indeed is LOVE then and not other acronym
No but like this guy is really good at editing
Video2 of asking:what if you use other buttons in the photoshop flowey fight like “TRUE ACT”,item, mercy”
I think because sans doesn't notice LOVE 19+ is because of the hidden level called "murder level".
It increases when you do genocide, and typically, to reach level 19, you have already killed almost all of monsterkind by then, but since the murder level will stay by default, sans thinks that your LOVE is 1 rather than 19 as to not trigger the sans fight.
Edit: your murder level has to be 16+, so legit killing everyone in the underground.
Can you make this into a mod ? it sounds fun.
Idea: what happens if you start a date with other characters?
idea : what if u add prunsel and change the file papyrus into prunsel please first idea comment
i remenber a game called robloxtale or underblox i think it has a ! in it but the spares of the game were like that if you spare and lot of monster you will get more hp and it was cool idk if the game geting worked on anymore but i hope it is
Idea: What if you enter true lab in genocide?
This way, LV doesnt mean level of violence, nor does level of violence mean love. LV now means love, straight up.
But that wasn't LOVE! *THAT WAS love!*
Flowey is hilarious in the ending
Ideas:
What if you have a negative LV?
What if you gain EXP by fleeing?
What if you have every weapon equipped?
What if you die to papyrus?
you should search up things before commenting it.
Theres obviously one where you equip every weapon, a video
theres now level of violence and level of virtue
Toriel is one of only that instead of giving EXP they set it to amount
Undertale but love actually means love
