SUPERHUMAN EFFORTS in the AFL

- The bravery Christian Petracca showed during the King's birthday game against Collingwood was unreal. He somehow came back on not knowing he had broken ribs and a lacerated spleen. His superhuman effort is one that is rarely seen but always admired in the football community.
2008 Luke Hodge broke ribs during the prelim final, played the granny with broken ribs and won the norm.
Goodes persisting through a torn posterior cruciate ligament in the 2012 GF is a good example too
Nat Fyfe is seriously one of the best players ever and I say that as an Eagles fan, he's talked about as a what could've been player but he already has two Brownlows
Missed 4 games due to suspension in 15 and lost by 2 votes. Given his history he tends to poll 1.8 per game you can assume he would have won it then too. I don't support Freo but the bloke was just something else.
Agreed in his prime just about as good as I’ve seen people forget what a monster he was at his best
If petracca got tackled when he had the ball he would have died
No
@@foxoreacts3653 yes he would have been in a critical condition
Hahaha. This is possibly true.
@@trevorstevenson4038 that wasn’t meant to be funny
@@sam47511 did you write the initial comment? No, so shut your mouth
Dev Robertson played with a broken hand in the 2023 grand final and still got a lot of touches.
Another that comes to mind is Darren Millane in 1990 who broke his thumb in the last home and away game and played through the 1990 final series with a broken thumb.
The Juddernaught popped his shoulder in the 3rd qtr in the 2006 GF and was about come off. He refused and stay out and still played great. GOAT!!!
jack darling fracturing his arm and still playing
Hats off Christian that was tough.
love the vid, kep it up
Sam Docherty in Semi-Final against Melbourne and OR against Brisbane
Great and helpful video keep it up
Jeremy McGovern in the 2018 GF
Bloody oath mate 💙💛 Tough as nails.
Dan Rioli played out the 2017 grand final on a broken foot and Jack Graham dislocated his shoulder multiple times in the 2019 prelim but kept playing.
Sam Naismith torn acl, played in the game for his sister who had passed away the week before. very heartwarming but sad and unfortunate also
why is sam docherty not here ?? played the semi against melb after dislocating his arm, also played opening rnd a bit after doing and acl and tearing his meniscus
Melbourne doctor's should of known better not to put Petracca back on very silly. His injury was really severe it was the same as
Dippers but Dipper was just a bloody bull💪🏼. And well Fyfe is just a bloody idiot trying to play the game out. Definitely come off with leg injuries like that. It can end your career. You forgot about Jeremy McGovern mate👍🏼
