Really glad matrix have bought out some 4 inch hook lengths for the pole been waiting ages for someone to bring some out,can tie my own to that length but this saves all the bother was wondering when these will be on sale
Coming back to the match style gear from carp fishing (still use the carp gear) the hairs are too short for me, I like around 8mm from the bend of the hook to the bait. Saying that my mate uses them and has had good success.
Agree with the other person. The card storage system causes a weak point just below the loop. Had 6 out of 8 break there. Matrix have been told but have not responded.
From the thousands we have sold we’ve had very very few complaints. We have taken some from though to take a closer look at and we’re looking into other ways of storing them in the future.
@@ifishmatrix thank you. As was commented on a FB thread, the price of the hooks is such that people probably wouldn’t bother to contact you about the problem they’d Judy not buy any more. Guru use similar packaging and have similar problems and this is certainly known by tackle shop owners.
I like matrix line but not the hooks. Tried the Mxc2’s which are supposed to be x-strong this summer, bought the 16’s-14’s and 12’s. Was a practise session so tested them out- I straightened two 14’s and a 12- these were to their prettied lines so shouldn’t have been unbalanced. Into the bin the all went after that. Shame because I love guru hooks but hate the line. I use a hook tying service now to get the best of both worlds.
@@ashakitakado9947 I'm fine with knotless knots 🪢 Spade ends kill me in anything smaller than a 18. I've tried every tier there is and I've tried by hand ✋️ I still end up with a kink or 2 on 0.8 and thinner on that last pull to tighten the knot once its released from the jaws.
@@majmat try to fix reel in some kind of clamps and keep the line in tension for all time maybe. It works for me. Hooks size 22 and line 0,06 are not a problem any more.
Great review Jamie

Great review. Cheers.
Spot on review. Just what was required. Thanks! 👍👏🐳
Any chance of a video of them being tied in the factory, or wherever they are tied? 🤔
I think that the manufacturers need to make a few packets for winter 🤔
Ie 10 or 11 line and hooks that are finer
Do you find that with how there stored on the cards that when you take them off that there's a weak point just below the loop ?
Not something we’ve had any issues with
100% creates a kink in the line
I think manufacturers should make some for good old fashioned waggler fishing
Love them MC6,s but often cannot choose between a 16 or a 14, can you at Matrix maybe make a “between” hook in odd number sizes?
Yeah I need to learn how to tie them

Really struggle finding any matrix hooks in my local shops.
Is there any chance matrix are going to come out with 2 and 3 inch hooklengths
We have no plans at the moment to go shorter than 4”

Hi mate .

Those banded hooklenths are rubbish, you hook anything decent and the knot pulls or they snap, load of rubbish dont buy.
I hate tying hooks
Ha u Don go fishing then... Ok if u got money I spose
@@chrisprobert6 I hate it, but i still tie em. Nearly £4 for 8 tied hooks when i can tie 30+.
