I have to say a big thank you, it's great to see someone finally show on a map where they have fished! Makes it so much easier to find when wanting to go ourselves. Thank you!
Love it Jamie looked like a kid at Christmas. All we need to see now is a little friendly match. Maybe polly or John arther. Or maybe mr may on ww. Either way another great vid from the matrix guys thank you 👍🏻🎣
Jamie hughes vs lee wright role reversal challenge, lee can only fish a commercial with hard pellets and jamie can only fish a canal with tumeric maggots.
Great to see, this session could have been shown in its entirety and we'd have all watched it all. Used to love fishing the grand union for skimmers, had 30lb bags regularly in club matches around the Luton area.
Hi Jamie, great to see you fishing this type of venue and great to see you enjoying yourself! More of this please, great! Thanks for the encouragement. Bob…
Fantastic video Jamie. Years and years AND YEARS since I fished a canal and yet that where I also started my fishing life! That was so enjoyable for me to watch and so tempting to give it a go myself. Well done and what a bloody good idea for a change.
Nice to see him on a canal for a change...know this peg very well, it's a bit of a flyer and the stretch under the trees in Hinstock Woods is always the place to draw.
Nice one Jamie a nice little session on a beautiful stretch of canal, some nice fish especially the skimbobs, never fished many canals but they are totally different from the commercials as much lighter rigs and you don't know what you will catch, top angling Jamie 👍🎣🎣
Hi Jamie I used to fish the trent & mersey canal between barrow on trent and the stenson bubble aged 13 with many a big fish including a 12lb carp at what I used to call the willows stretch . now I am on commercials such as longford in derbyshire and after seeing how happy you are may look back at the narrow boat #lock nightmares as everyone watching this can maybe relate to . ps I am nearly 50 now keep up the great work Jamie love it .
Nice one Jamie. Great little session of just catching what comes along. I think as mentioned below a little Knock Up with You, Andy M, Jon Arthur would be eye opening. Cheers
Nice to see you on a canal really enjoyable to watch Jamie Great video best fishing ever on canal Andy will be wanting a go there he'll be well jealous lol
I only came across the FB Live of this the other day, spent an age looking for the vid..... Yay it's here. The Shroppy is one place I began fishing when my sis was at Chester Uni. Love these vids.
Great video 👍🏻👍🏻 and I know exactly we’re you are I fish there a lot loads of scimmers and eels I use worms in the middle and had some good bream and you are fishing the peg I always go on it’s a lovely place I love it because it’s so peaceful
Great video Jamie nice to see that you can still catch fish from moving water so well done and why don't you take Andy on a canal as one of your challenges would be a lot of fun 😃😃🎣🎣🎣⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
That was great it’s a long time since I fished a canal I have moved back to where are used to go when I was about eight years old I am 66 years old now I will go in the spring and clear some swims with the old rake And have a go
Great video. First time I have seen you. I last fished over 50 years ago and my twin brother has git me back in to it. I love method feeding (I think that’s what it’s called) but want to do some margin fishing, could you recommend anything that I can use for that type off fishing. I only have a couple off years to retirement so will be going a lot. Keep up with videos and thank you.
It's a funny old canal the Shroppie. To someone brought up in the old days on the gin clear Leeds and Liverpool, it looks like there shouldn't be a fish in it. It must be like swimming in cold tea, and yet in places it is stuffed.
Can see how happy you were catching the fish and not knowing what’s on the hook until it’s in. Rather than f1 bashing! Enjoy fishing the local canal and quieter than the commercials.
Jamie that to me is propa fishing I love commercials and rivers but canals are where I started and are my favourite venue every time you should try the Wyrley and Easington canal in the Bloxwich and Pelsall area I've had bream over 8lb and our canal is full of propa tench which average 3 to 5lbs with my pb being 7lb 12oz you just can't beat it in 3hrs on an evening you can do 50lb
Iv been goin to the canal with my margin pole but using commercial ish type of tactics with good results.. I'm hoping at some point the elastics gonna fly out and I catch somat special.. you never no in the spot I'm at.. usually perch tho 😂 but upto 3lb or even 5lb if you believe the old fellas blanking all the time down there lol.
Free to fish coventry canal near basin did a 24hr there caught 3 carp 1 zander 2 pike 5 tench then loads of bream skimmers roach rudd perch probably close to 150lbs of fish catch and release system so didn't weigh them all tench from 1lbs to 4 ish carp 4lbs 8lbs 10lbs Pike 5 lbs and 14 lbs zander 1.5 lbs biggest bream close to 5lbs biggest roach I've caught 2.5 lbs.. 3 telescopic rods with me one out on the carp line with 12mm boilie. One on pike float and live bait and a float rod size 18hook fishing maggots over 2 swims bit of ground bait and a spod particle mix with a few boilies..
Don't think I've seen Jamie smile this much in any video before! More of this type of thing please! 😁👍
Its what fishing is all about, the excitment of not knowing what you have caught. You see the joy in Jamies face, great video Jamie

Jamie hughes vs lee wright role reversal challenge, lee can only fish a commercial with hard pellets and jamie can only fish a canal with tumeric maggots.
Jon Arthur would pull him the pants off^^. He fishes those venues often. But it would pretty entertaining to watch.
Great to see, this session could have been shown in its entirety and we'd have all watched it all. Used to love fishing the grand union for skimmers, had 30lb bags regularly in club matches around the Luton area.
Just watched cracking days fishing I think its good to go back to wot you enjoyed gives you a great buzz

Been a long while since i fished a canal or freshwater! Got into lure fishing off the rocks in Cornwall and went sea fishing mad!
Where it all started for me, on the canal with a 9m pole ❤️
A pleasure session now and then gives you back the passion for fishing...today my aim is to catch a lovely tench!
Great enthusiasm for it. Love it
31:52 - Jeez, those fish have so much energy still !!
Frisky little beggars aren't they ?
More plz Jay 😊
You should do a video of Jamie and Andy pairing up for the canal pairs and trying to qualify. They'd have a great chance.
Great day out Jamie 👌
Well done, a really good video.

Beautiful spot!
It’s really enjoying that man could catch fish in a puddle!!! Love this vid
Brought back memories of the Macc
canal and the Bridgewater GONNA GO NEXT WEEK
That was great, a chance to see the ten year old Jamie!
Fantastic!
Do people still use squats as I never seen them used
Reminds me of my early years fishing the Nene in and around Oundle
always good when you are the ONLY person on the whole stretch .. .. ..
Feels strange seeing Jamie without Andy 🥺
Heard you fish the boat museum at Ellesmere Port from time to time. Vid from a little session on there would be good
Where I fished as a kid shroppie at market Drayton wonderful memories
I'd like to see you revist another canal and go real old skool and fish the waggler on the cut. Good to see you really enjoying the canal
This is why i dont fish commercials... canals is where the magic is. Proper angling 🙂
Inspiration, going out fishing tomorrow on the canal to put some of your advice into practice. Love to unexpected the canal can bring you.
Don't forget it is January now. It might be a bit harder than when Jamie fished it. A few less boats though.
25:42 - Oh so slow to strike ! . . . . . Bad luck (Put the ploughman's sandwich down!) 🤣
Great video. First time I have seen you.

I like fishing on canals better than fishing on a commercial 😎
Jamie can everything!
Can see how happy you were catching the fish and not knowing what’s on the hook until it’s in. Rather than f1 bashing! Enjoy fishing the local canal and quieter than the commercials.
