- Nintendo Switch 2 Trailer concept. Here's a few things I was thinking the switch 2 may include:
SNES-style coloured buttons
Improved D Pad
Magnetic Joy Cons
Status LEDS
New joy cons colours obviously
Larger display with thinner bezels
4K support
Speaker/Mic on joy cons
New magnetic switch logo intro/outro
Also think it would be cool if it was named ‘Super Nintendo Switch’

One quick note regarding the D-pad. Those can't be the icons for accessibility reasons: they lack directionality to distinguish them from the opposite button.

Ngl the switch 2 should have a 3ds dual screen to support ds games, run at 4k, allow you to play gamecube and wii/wii u games using the dock to download games (letting u put discs in it) and have a cartridge port to put switch games and ds and 3ds , as well as have a wii menu vibe with music and all, switch 2 sports will have the return of miis again, more mii games, and yeah sounds good
And launch with Metroid Prime 5, right? 😂
you don't need two screens to support ds games. the switch (1) screen already has enough pixels to show both screens.
Interesting concept, I like how the Joy-Cons snap into place to tell you it's different from the slide down.
this is an incredible concept, i like how the lights indicate the color of the Joy-Con! nintendo should take note of that

no but seriously MAGNETIC JOYCONS!? that would be crazy (my joycons always slip out of the actual switch)
I guess I haven't thought about it, but the colored button idea for the joy-con that people speculated about would have to be also on the d-pad on the other joy-con to be consistent in 2 player games. If this was the case, then the order of the colors on the joy-con in 2 player handheld would have to be consistent, so Green is up, Blue is right, Red is down, and yellow is left.
But when you turn the joycons then the colored buttons are in a different location
That's true. But on the other hand, it wouldn't functionality wise matter if the D "pad" colours are not in the same order as the buttons when in full portable mode.
On the other hand again. It would still look weird then. Which is probably the main reason the designer didn't do it here. And Nintendo likely wouldn't either.
Wouldn't be impossible to make a rotating button plate though. 😅

Let's be real with ourselves, Nintendo of all companies is never doing such an obnoxious trailer. Furukawa announced it very casually and the trailer will also be casual. That's what distinguishes Nintendo from other brands and i absolutely love that part about them. Amazing concept though,
for the most part you did except you didn’t make the screen bigger in the controller keypad aren’t colored and there’s a little bit sticking out on the side so then you can plug it in. There’s no light at the top. There’s no like kick stand according to what I saw
Cute how you modeled it like the OG consoles. Highly doubt they will do that though. I’m sure they will go for a more “futuristic” look as opposed to retro, since that is the way everything else is going currently.
i think it will look similar but it will be quite a bit slicker looking, thicker and heavier

That looks pretty good, but if I had to nitpick, I would say the Left Joy-Con should have the colors rotated compared to the Right Joy-Con because if people played in Two-Player Mode, they would want the colors to match.
[Example: The Green Button should be facing *Up* when the Left Joy-Con is in the horizontal position, Yellow Button facing *Left,* Red facing *Down*, and Blue facing *Right]*
Also, what about the trigger buttons? Would they be pressure-sensitive like like the XBOX and Playstation Controllers are? It would be helpful if Nintendo finally had games that supported actual trigger controls instead of just having buttons that you tap on.

@@Blueybeak considering the designs that are circulating, this is probably the best for what we might get. A wider screen with a thinner bezel, updated graphics, better ui, and enhanced joy cons is probably the best way to go. Doesn't need to be over designed. The switch is already a sleek system. Design wise doesn't need too many updates.
