So I'm impressed. It's low budget production values but the amount of videos and the thoroughness that you go through the products with, your channel is actually worth subscribing to :)
If there are some hand-writing notes on some pages, what would the final pdf file be? I would not expect the hand-writing notes OCR-ed. However, are the printed text still searchable under such case? Thanks,
I could be wrong, but I don't think OCR is a function that will cause a change in the scanning speed, as I believe the OCR function is executed by the computer, not the scanner. You might be able to scan faster with a lower resolution, but I imagine the difference would be relatively minimal. The device also utilizes USB 3.0 and higher. I imagine they've designed it like this for a reason, so for the sake of file transfer speeds from the scanner to the computer be sure to use it on a computer that has USB 3.0 or higher and that it is connected to a USB 3.0 or higher port
What is the best choice, new or used, for $200? The most important feature would be a double page feed resume - especially with slower ppm's.
Excellent product!

Ive had this scanner for 2 years now. Best investment for the office. Is this still the latest model? Ive been looking to buy another one of these.
OsHi from what I can see on Amazon, it appeared to be the newest model available. It is an absolutely fantastic device.
The successor model was released only a few weeks ago and is called iX1500, but there are some weaknesses compared to iX500.
Thank you sir

Yes. The scanner will OCR the printed text on a mixed media document.
How much faster (2x?) if NO OCR when scanning? I need to scan an office ASAP and do the OCR conversion at a later date.
