As a Young Black Man, This scene is so powerful . I cried watching Phylicia Rashad holding Kimberly Elise and asking her to Breathe...that is So Powerful , because sometimes people stay in their grief they dont and forget to breath, which in most and some times all cases reduces people chances to get up and move forward and help us to heal. Breathing and taking it one step at a time with the right type of people around to help Us through this process And calling on God for his Divine Holy Spirit is the first step that the healing from trauma has begun.
And just by the look on Phylicia’s face when she told her that She knew was she was about to say was going to cut deep but it needed to be said in order to help her Heal. Crystal was like a daughter to her, and a mother will tell you what you need to hear 🥺
Y’all are judging from a place of privilege. There are many factors as to why women stay in situations that many of us who aren’t being abused wouldn’t. It’s never the victims fault.
Naw like she said take some blame I felt that women just don’t know getting in too deep like that is crazy put your kids first soon u see the signs leave‼️
Oh my goodness don't you all just love Phylicia Rashad.... Well Kimberly is ......crafting.. See acting is an emotion... and Phylicia set that up perfectly...
Loving your self is easier said than done, but in the end she could’ve pushed further 2 save herself & her kids before something horrible happened which of course is him throwing them out the window. It’s not all her fault but partially it is cuz she could’ve done something long b4 this but she didn’t
There's no reason for her to be speaking to crystal. All of those adults were just as complicit. It's not right for her to attack her at her weakest point.
Those aren't her kids. She did all she could for her and them. Crystal was their mother, no one else was, so she does gotta take some accountability. It's a harsh reality to face but it's true. Shit like this can happen if you stay with an abusive asshole.
Hey loves! I have a second channel go on over and check it out 😉😇

She's strong as hell because I don't believe I would have been able to live after what happened to my children 😣
Same

What happened to them?

The father of her children killed them. He dropped them off a window and they fell to their deaths.
This is truly a heartbreakingly beautiful scene.

She played that role...my goodness..😥😥
She's the most underrated actor I know tbh
I would’ve jumped out that window and grabbed my children 🙅🏾♀️ because my life would be my kids once they’re gone I’m gone
Please.
There was so much she could’ve done but when you’re panicked you don’t thin
or just pushed the man out too
She should have done something long before it got to that point. So yeah it was her fault
This is so real
Those babies being dropped from that window was the toughest scene I’ve ever had to watch in a movie ! Shit traumatized me
Pretty messed up yes but that unfortunately means you haven’t seen many movies, sadly😪
That man would’ve been dead then I would’ve been dead
There's too much life wrapped up in your voice.. you gotta get up from here. Whew!!! This scene.. so painful and so sad. :(
Nadia McIntosh Yeah those words did it for me. They rang true in any situation.
*period she should of stopped him long for he got too that window .*
It took him killing your kids to realize that you need to leave. RIDICULOUS
One of the most effective, stunning and well-acted portrayals of its kind, and I never want to watch it again
This is so heartbreaking....I'm a little bit of an empathy so I totally feel for her.
Empath honey lol
Gurl shut df up everyone feels what she’s feeling
She told her some real shit though when she said that it was as much her fault for not getting out sooner
And just by the look on Phylicia’s face when she told her that She knew was she was about to say was going to cut deep but it needed to be said in order to help her Heal. Crystal was like a daughter to her, and a mother will tell you what you need to hear 🥺
Absolutely 💯💯💯💯
Kimberly Elise!! The acting in this movie was phenomenal!!
This makes me sad I’m trying to hold back the tears but it’s hard
It breaks my heart how she says it’s her fault but she was trying so hard to get them away
She didn’t try hard enough hurt him gouge his eye scratch she just pushing and shit
She isn't wrong she could've tried harder to save them
But it’s true how can a mother stay in that situation especially when her kids are that young plus she has a daughter it’s her fault that she stayed

Why is she always the one who's getting abused or hurt in a movie?? Ion like that.
Well she didn't get abused in Pride with Terrance Howard 😂
She can always say no when those roles are offered to her
How can someone be so cruel?!! Why????? Poor children! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
Kenya and Kwame are dead
Breath.

Beau Willie Brown goes to jail
Vi o trailer desse filme, ela poderia ter mentindo q iria voltar, casar com ele. Talvez ele não soltaria as crianças. Ela só gritava no desespero!!
She didn’t want to marry him because she knew how he was but to stay in abusive relationship?
This reminds me of the women of brusters place
Flower bringing and slow singing
So she always had keys to the door why didn’t she open to stop the guy from killing the kids?
Wait so did her babies die..?😢
Alexis Aida Their drunk father dropped them from the window.
niah brewton. Yeah but did they die
JenJen Vlxgs yes they died
Jahnesha Knowles oh wow that’s messed up 😩
The father believed that the children’s mother cheated on him and that the children weren’t really his so he tossed them out of a window.
Then save some other woman's babies!!!!!!!
