- ゴリラのキンタロウは、京都市動物園のゴリラの家族の中ではいちばん小さい個体です。タッチモニターを使った数字の順番を覚える勉強に参加してくれていますが、体の大きな父親のモモタロウや、兄のゲンタロウがやってくると、場所をゆずらざるをえません。そして、父や兄が勉強している間、そばで終わるのを待っています。父のモモタロウの勉強はあまり長く続かないので、待っていればやがて場所が空きます。ふだんのゴリラの勉強部屋の一場面を切り取ってみました。

こんなに良くできたモモタロウさんを今まで見たことがない。そして、こんなに誇らしげに去っていくモモタロウさんも見たことがない。
Momotaro is definitely a dad I would listen to lol.
If that is Kintaro doing the screeching vocalizations when Momo first takes over, that’s interesting like he’s protesting to Dad but Momo doesn’t react, just carries on with the numbers and calmly glances at Kintaro.
I heard Momo’s grumbling. Always interesting to hear them. There is some communication going on here, Like Momo coming in saying “my turn”, Kintaro saying “Dad,no” but then patiently waiting till Dad finishes his turn before resuming. 🦍♥️
Kinny is so vocal! I think he complains to the keepers about dad making him move.😄

Momotaro's voice is much deeper, Kintaro couldn't get that low, ...... this is the first time I'v actually heard real sound of them doing the game. Kinda creepy.

I donate to the World Wildlife Find for gorillas every month, and I receive a small paper magazine about gorillas from them. Last month, it stated that only half of gorillas leave their families. The rest are happy to stay if they are in a contented family.
The female and male gorillas begin to leave their forest home when they mature. The females from around 10 and the males from between twelve to fifteen.
The zoo stated that Gentaro would probably be going overseas in a couple of years. That was earlier this year.

@0:55 is that Kintaro making them noises? I remember him doing this last year too because daddy wanted to study his numbers so he know when Genki takes one of his bundles of food.
