I learn to love this Pole Vault, Salute to Mondo, and other who made history in Paris 2024. Special mention to EJ Obiena from the Philippines, he did his best.

Mondo's form is now perfect. His most impressive talent is his speed. More speed equates in more height. Work on Mondo's speed. Also staying close to the pole when inverted, and the push have to be perfect. Bob Richards jumped 32 " over his hand hold. Mondo exceeds that because of the pole and Bob had to land on his feet in sawdust and not on his back on foam. That landing and the pole equates in the more height today. I was told that Mondo gets $100,000 when he breaks the world record. If that is correct I can see why he only increases it slowly, but Mondo can jump 21'. He should do it when his timing is perfect and then win events after that.
If you look at the French and German pole faulters who jumped 20 feet they are now too old. Mondo will get there also.
Mondo should start at 19'. There are only so many great jumps left on any given day. When Mondo jumps 21' that record will last a long time. Until they developed another pole and a tall fast vaulter comes along. Greag and your wife are doing a great job.

So, this is all in Sweden? Looks like he should be required to compete for the USA. Trains her, lives her, school, etc. Then uses all of this to compete against us. Sounds like treason to me.

He was trained growing up by his world class pole vault father and world class heptathlete mother; both of whom are integral to his success.
He is proud of both countries he's a citizen of, but when it came time to choose a country to represent internationally, the USA wouldn't let him be coached by his parents but Sweden did. That sounds like the USA fucked up to me.

Actually, a lot of foreign athletes come to USA to train because your student-athlete programs and facilities are way better than the rest of the world ! Athletes can have a better competition within training groups and championships, this makes everybody elevate their level to try to be the best.
