Pottery: Throwing a Hollow Ring Toroid Double Wall Donut

I'm using a cone 6 white stoneware from Highwater Clays called Little Loafers. It's my standard clay of choice for functional ware.

WOW I was doing a donut flasks at about the same time. I found it easier to do inter wall first then outer wall shorter. Nice job with the flute, I'd have never thought, amazing.

You make it look so easy. Question: Doesn't that closed cylinder need a hole in it as it becomes leather hard?

Hi Florence! Yes, you make a good point. It's a good idea to put a pin hole in it after trimming.
