Samsung was expected to release the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 beta update yesterday, but it seems there’s been a delay. We might have to wait a few more weeks before this major update becomes available, with a new expected release window in August 2024. In the meantime, we have a sneak peek of the upcoming One UI 7.0 thanks to Chun Bhai. Two screenshots reveal some exciting UI changes, including a revamped lock screen. The new battery charging status popup now resembles a widget, making it more visually appealing and easier to read. We also see a redesigned charging bar and new pill-shaped battery indicator in the status bar, adding a fresh look to the overall interface. The One UI 7.0 beta update is now anticipated to release in the third week of August 2024. The delay is attributed to the rollout of One UI 6.10, which is being updated for older foldable phones, tablets, and certain high-end devices. This new version will bring significant changes in UI design and user experience, setting it apart from One UI 6.0. Initially, the beta update will be available for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. It’s expected to debut in South Korea first, with other countries like Germany, India, the UK, and the USA following shortly after. China may receive the update a few days later. There’s also speculation that the One UI 7.0 beta program might extend to older high-end models such as the Galaxy S23 series, but it’s uncertain if foldable phones will be included.
