I enjoy my Tommy Bahama watch.
In retrospect, the price was high, but it's still a great camping and beater watch for me.
I have two tissots I like more and feel better wearing, but my TB is a chronograph, gmt, with a decent look.
It's extremely functional. I wouldn't buy another, but I do very much enjoy it.
The leather band is really nice and after 6 years the watch still works like new.
This guy actually got this one right.

People laughed back in the day when casio brought out all the plastic watches , then the g shock ....people said theyd never last yet alot of those watches are still going today and keep great time...more accurate than most automatic watches costing 4 times the price . Im a proud owner of some rare casio g shocks that ive had since the 80,s/ 90,s.

Pound for pound a Seiko automatic watch is the best bang for your buck. $200-$300 and you get a really quality watch that’s on par with some watches in the 3-5k price range.
Absolutely! After fooling around with Rolex( Not worth the money time and maintenance). All roads lead back to Casino g shock and Seiko. After Rolex, I refuse to pay over 1k for a watch. I have 5 g shocks, 5 Seiko dress watches, and one Hamilton field watch. I've had so many watches. Cheap fashion watches and expensive luxury watches. Down sized the watches and I'm content.

I tend to agree with you. Richard Mille watches look like something out of a cereal box, but people spend big coin on them. Then you take Apple Watch & it looks OK with the right strap; otherwise does not pair well with a suit whatsoever.
The only legitimate reason to own a smartwatch is to listen to music and watch porn discreetly while at work.

I did end up switching to a smart watch for the utility capabilities of it...but nothing beats classic Casio watches that you can literally beat into the mud and have zero issues with for 10 years...and...that issue is replacing the battery once every decade
I don't have a G-Shock but I have a couple of Casio analog watches and i always rock with them. Yes, they are cheap compared to let's say Michael Kors but it's versatile and functional. I only ever wear smart watch is when i do physical activities and work outs.
I have a Casio F91W. 3 years still running. No maintenance required and it just does what it need to do...tell time. I also have a "Casio Royale" that one does everything and more. The orange backlight is enough to let me see time in the dark.

Many watches have different functions and really insane movements and material. Not big fan of apple watch or galaxy watches since they break easily and you gotta charge the battery constantly. I wear a Casio pathfinder for daily work and I got other time pieces for different occasions.
I am using a Casio Metal Calculator Watch for the past 23 years and it runs flawlessly with Battery change every 2 years.
And i own a Casio World Time Watch plus a Red Casio Moonphase Watch.

Your Richard mille makes you money. I don't own a Richard yet but I have a couple of Rolexs and a Patek, I bought my Rolexs at around 8K per piece now with how the markets are doing I could easily sell them for a nice 20-25K. A good time piece is an asset just like a house. If you're reading this you'll eventually be able to park your money in something I recommend you buy yourself a nice timepiece and not an ugly time piece

I myself, as my financial goes better, I buy pricier watches. But ngl, Casio & G-Shock will always be my top choice of daily wear. I don’t know why, I know it’s cheap, but it’s just, I don’t feel cheap wearing it. In fact I feel respect towards those who wear Casio, I don’t know why tho, it’s just, back then (until now), I always saw hardworking People wore it, and when they became successful, they still wearing it.

In 2017 I bought a pocket watch in West Virginia one night on the toll road from the south/east bound service plaza. I couldn't believe young peoples' reaction when I pulled it out to check the time.🤣 On top of that they could NOT tell the time by it.🤦🏽♂️ I received my first watch in 1961 or 2 as a birthday present from my parents.
A pocket watch just feels better pulling it out than flipping/turning your wrist over be it a battery powered one or a mechanical one. Since I'm medically retired I mainly wear a wristwatch but one of my nieces is trying to get a birthday party up for me so that'll be an excuse to pull it out again.
Parents, teach your kids how to tell time using a clock or watch with hands. How would they know the time if they were in a place, like a court room, with only analog clocks and couldn't have a cellphone?

A watch is a watch, and I personally believe there is no need to spend more than $200 on one unless it is a smartwatch that allows you to answer calls.

How about a pocket watch? I'd always wanted one and a few years ago got my first one. When first started carrying it I wasn't expecting the reactions I got. The funniest ones were mainly from young people who didn't know what it was and couldn't tell the time by it. "What is that?" or "How do you tell the time by it?" I'd get asked. They were never taught how to use an analog time piece. I'd have to blame their elders for that...
You might think this too, but the new Apple Watch Ultra looks way too big on a wrist. But it still looks good. ⌚️

Used to have a smartwatch. Wore it till it broke from age and no longer supported. Went to walmart and got curious as to what they had as far as watches and found a casio a168. Love it so far. Classic look and looks great with button ups and sweaters.
I just got myself a Apple Watch and im a watch collector. However I am purely using my Apple Watch for sports and tracking all of that. If I actually go to work or visit someplace or go for a walk with friends I am gonna wear my normal watches. Apple Watch = for sport

If your smartwatch doesn't look good with a suit then try putting it on leather straps or a stainless steel band that's the one advantage about smart watches that no one really likes to talk about you can make them go with any look any environment any situation with just the change of a strap and maybe a case

I only own 2 types watches. I own several G-Shocks for everyday use and a couple of nice Seikos for getting dressed up. Together, all the watches are worth less than $300 bucks. Why? The G-Shocks never break and if something happens to the Seikos, I’m not out of a lot of money.
Nothing beats a circular classic watch, it is what it is.
