How in the world did you record that song technically? It was marvellous! But did you really use only the microfones of the camera? No mixing afterwards? I am so stunned.
Most definitely not. The Yardbirds were the first ever "supergroup", and that lineup was infinitely better. You also got Temple Of The Dog, which had Eddie Vedder and Chris Cornell. Velvet Revolver with Slash and Scott Weiland, there's Cream, Asia, and countless other line ups that are better than this
It is the light of his soul which shines SO bright. He is waking humans up to our true nature. We are all Jacob, if you know what I mean. In other words, it is the purest form of love and peace.
Chris Thile and Jacob Collier really are the Captain America and Iron Man of my musical universe. Simply two of the greatest musicians I’ve ever heard. Madison Cunningham rounding out the trio is just 😘👌

I'd like to take a moment to say I'm so happy to hear someone I've been listening to for 10+ years or more (Chris Thile), create music with someone I've only had the pleasure of listening to for 5 years, play together. This was an unexpected treat.
Jacob and Chris did a few gigs together a year ago or so at the Blue Note in NYC which emphasized a lot of improv - there are some clips on YT, and the three of them also did a few gigs recently. I do love how talent like this seems to gravitate to each other - like the concert recently with Thile, Billy Strings, and Cory Henry. Just ridiculous amount of virtuosity on one stage.
Today I needed to cry and this song really took me there, it just helped melt away the hardened shell of anger and wash out some of the pain that I wasn't letting myself feel. Just healing music. Thank you so much Jacob, Madi and Chris for the beauty.
The musicianship in this video is out of this world. How they listen each other and complement their harmonies with such taste is just amazing. I'm in love.
The only modern songwriter who can take you on a journey with both the words and the harmony. The return to the home key is miraculous. Thank you for this, Jacob.
I am wondering if Jacob would collaborate with Fujii Kaze - his songs are lyrically uplifting and musically interesting and his creativity is amazing. Since Kaze is fluent in English, they could easily perform in English. Both of them also dress with a certain colourful flair ;)
I was about to write the exact same thing. I can't stop but leaving everything I do aside when I hear a Jacob Collier song. First time listening to this one here and I just had to keep my eyes on this video and completely lost myself in the music.
Madison Cunningham's performance at the September show made me cry quite a few times. overall the concert was about clarity, a clear cosmos of music, execution, and voicing, next-level music. unexpectedly for me, this trio provided one of the best concerts in my life. i became a fan of two more musicians after visiting this gig. superb.
Wow.....this is even better than the album version. So pure and atmospheric. Wonderful, Jacob, Madison and Chris! You should do a whole album like this.
Chris Thile is my hero. I've watched him progress and blow the world away with the gift of genius musicality. He inspired me to play mandolin and I have so many great memories because of that fact.
Just saw him recently solo (with orchestra) at Cornell U, plus twice recently with Nickel Creek. He's been as busy as ever, and I can't recommend the recent NC album highly enough.
3:42 - took me somewhere... Feel like he's entering an era of his music that is going to transcend what humans have been able to do musically. Madison and Chris were perfect additions. Beautiful
I don't know a better word, as my eyes are filled with tears yet again.... than "Mastered." This man has mastered his art. Watching him over the years was much like watching Neo in the Matrix. Seeing what others knew, where potential was hiding... and then, suddenly, this sense of immortality, but through his expression of song. There are very few people in this world I'll bow to, but this man will see me on my knees if we cross paths. What an absolute treasure.
The harmonies are cleansing my brain, or perhaps rinsing it, like ... something. The perfect water metaphor exists somewhere but I can't bring it to mind
2:55 😍 The harmony, the balance between bass and the nice high-end with the mandolin, beautiful reverb, panning, the location... simply a perfect stripped back version of Summer Rain.

This man is a genius, wait, what's the word that transcends genius? Evil. He's absolutely evil with the runs, the harmonies and the production. Insane level of talent. Holy 💩
It's so beautiful to see Jacob Collier enabling people to the best, not trying to micro-controlling. Because music - like many things - needs room to breath.
I'm so glad I'm too lazy to read UA-cam titles properly. It meant I wasn't expecting Chris Thile and then Madison Cunningham to drift onto the screen! What an absolute pleasure, many thanks.

Candle-lighting
Angels at my door
No silver lining

But I miss you like summer rain
Shadows on the wall
Border-lining
I thought they'd never fall
Worlds colliding
I don't catch a wave, my summer rain
I can't breathe without you
I won't walk away, I feel the pain
But I can't bleed without you
I get by without you
I get high, but I miss you like summer rain
Kiss me to my core, paralyzing
Hold me where I'm sore, never minding
I don't know your name or feel your shame
But I miss you like summer rain
Don't love you anymore
I'm providing
You held me down before
Never asking
Why I'm so afraid to walk your way
I'm so free without you
I won't catch the rain
Won't feel the same
I'm alive without you
I get by without you
I'm so high, but I miss you like summer rain
And every night
I feel so tired
But I can't sleep
Without you near
I close my eyes
I wish you were here
But I get by
I get by
So high
But I miss you like summer rain
