When is it OK to cut grooves in brake pads?

Don’t worry, although I did turn the front rotors, I also replaced the pads with NEW parts. And the drum got turned, instead of replaced, because it was out of round, and I didn’t trust a replacement would be true. Furthermore, my whole day got consumed by a 2004 GMc envoy, that had a bad window regulator. The relay inside the motor assembly somehow shorted out, and I had to bypass it and cut one of the leads in order to get around the short, in order to control the window to even get it to roll up. And since it’s not a functioning window, this dealership will not sell it to a customer, and has opted to send it to auction.

Window regulators suck. And crappy designed door linkage . Cheap ass little flimsy plastic pieces are crappy to start with and get worse with age. That was a tough repair .well done.
