I was there! To your right, in the front row across from Megan's microphone stand! This was my fourth Larkin Poe concert, but I'm not stopping yet! I'm 74 years old, and I can say without modesty that I've been to a lot of concerts, but I've never met anyone like Larkin Poe. In addition to their extraordinary talent, Megan and Rebecca perform all their concerts with amazing professionalism and elegance. It cannot be confused or compared with anything. Simply: LARKIN POE...❤❤😍😍🎸🎸
I've seen them Twice and I am going to see them 2 nights in a row next month in New Jersey. I can't get enough of them, I was getting goosebumps when Rebecca and Megan harmonized. They definitely put on a great show.
I'm only 5 years younger than you. And I had almost lost faith in attending live performances until I discovered Larkin Poe, and boy o boy do they give it some and more ! I've seen them twice in the last year - just thrilled that decent live music goes on.
@@goldenoldie68 There is hope! They are the ones who regained the honor of the real live concert! (And not electro, techno, playback hocus-pocus...)😍😍🎸🎸
@@goldenoldie68 L. Poe are my faves. I saw Molly Tuttle, Madison Cunningham, and Bella White lately. Great real music for very reasonable ticket price. You're too young to stay home.😎
Echoing what others have said, this is a terrific recording. Essentially the same show and playlist that they presented at Cambridge Folk Festival on Saturday July 27, with just one song change. In the Cambridge show, they even laughed off a few gremlins in the sound system at the start of their set, not to mention Ben losing part of his drum kit as it made a bid for freedom across the stage.😄. Anyway, having been at the Festival all day and witnessing some pretty decent performances of all kinds of music, when Rebecca, Megan and co came on stage late in the evening, overall they delivered the rock and blues masterclass that I've come to expect, raising the whole tone of the day by several notches, and greatly impressing several people I'd chatted with who hadn't seen them before. More disciples to the fold, me thinks ! Just awesome as always ❤
I was there for the Rival Sons but I also left blown away by Larkin Poe. This evening was the greatest concert experience I ever had thanks to all three amazing artists. Larkin Poe now is part of my playlists👏🏻
Yes, yes, yes. The ladies are absolutely incredible but you also have to give credit to the boys in the back keeping the rhythm going. Having just recently seen them in Clearwater, FL all four of them are just awesome.
Both outstanding guitar players, and what a great band. I just wish Megan’s vocal could be pushed a little higher in the mix. Probably not ideal listening on UA-cam compared to being there live, but in all of the LP footage I’ve seen I note that the backing vocal is almost inaudible most of the time which is a shame - as there’s nothing better than sibling harmonies.
Thanks for the upload! What camera did you use to shoot this great recording? Some kind of external microphone? Audio and picture quality is just exeptional!
Larkin Poe has been The Hottest Rockin' Blues Roots Band of the past decade+ that's filled my ears ... my go-to Blues-Roots Rock Band. Yes, Larkin Poe and the Warning are 2 of the best sister acts out there! Totally different sound, but each are absolutely throwing it down. Daring other bands to take them on!
I've not as yet given much attention to The Warning - too much of my time looking for Larkin Poe output, but I would also recommend Samantha Fish. At present, I am finding it hard to choose which I prefer, but LP have the edge because I just love seeing and hearing Megan Lovell on slide guitar.
Played with heart and soul!!! Loved it 🥰🥰

Further to what I wrote earlier, I just love it when they go "walkabout" for the solos - great on video, but unforgettable when you watch them live. ❤
