Yeah, I was 18 in 98 so it was an important time for me and something that feels ver personal to me. We would travel from Guildford in London for garage nation, cookies and cream etc...some Biiig events at the house of Windsor 😅. We would have DJs and MCs come down to a few local venues too and had a few friends in the smalltime game so I will always feel very connected to the UKG scene. Its nice that it's looked back on with respect by today's youth also.
My bro and his friends used to know Earth Wind & Fire Albert, they used to run Serenade and another local dance I can't even remember the name to now but mannn those days and these tunes brought me joy. Locals like Blue Orchid and Joe Bananas... RIP CR0 now bankrupt 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤭
