I haven't watched the full video yet but how much longer must we wait for the Kinda Funny Lord Of The Rings Trilogy Extended Edition In Review? Give the people what they want!!! Do It!!!
34:25 hells yeah, tortas de carne asada for the win. Put a little sour cream, a little diced onion and cilantro, a little fre shavocado with some beers. Too bad I'm not a hobbit otherwise I'd go for second dinner...
Fan Theory: Legion was created because of Grace's travel through time in the same way that Kyle Reese's time travel was the cause for John Conner to even be born and the acquisition of technology from the future which ultimately causes judgment day. Legion is created in the end of this movie when humans eventually use the melted remains of the two terminators as potential untapped technology in the same way that the arm from T1 served as the source of judgment day. This would explain why the Legion terminators look so similar to the Skynet terminators and why they are designed the way they are, essentially two beings in one body; like they were melted together. The name Legion also kind of alludes to this being the case as well; like its not just one AI, its a legion of them mashed together.
So if John Connor is killed as a child then he can't grow up to send Kyle Reese back. Therefore, John was never born in the first place, Skynet proceeds to send the missles, and judgement day happens.
I really enjoyed TDF. I think the weakest part was the reason for Carl. It could have been fixed with 2 extra lines of dialogue. T: Salvation is under appreciated. I think there are a couple possibilities for continuing the Terminator franchise, but how good they are comes down completely to the writing. If this is the last one, I’d say it went out on a high note.
About the Rev-9 (new Terminator) design; it's nothing more than logical that the designs are similar, since it's an AI designing a killing unit for infiltration and killing with efficiency in mind. Spoiler mode deepdive: The fact that it's now a new AI(Legion), but still retains a similar Terminator/Rev design is how it SHOULD be. It's based on a fixed set of parameters that doesn't differ between both timelines and AI: it has to be humanoid & has to have killing capability. Regarding sending multiple Terminators simultaneously, isn't it clear that timetravel takes a hella lot of energy, so it's just not possible? Also why send the T-800 (in the first movie) instead of the T-1000 prototype? Because it's AI, AI does threat assessment and probably analysed that the T-800 should be enough for the task. After failing the AI reassessed the situation and upped the threat assessment to the level of the T-1000. Feels like the crew is making the AI a bit too human.
I guess judging by your comment, they just shit on the movie constantly. Good, saves me a watch then cuz I loved the movie actually. Also one minor correction (you did an amazing job btw), The T-1000 model was not sent back in the first Terminator because it was not built yet. That model was very experimental at the time so they only had the one. All your other points were spot on.
What are these boys smoking? CG Arnold at beginning looks REALLY well done! Miles better than the one in Genisys. The scene is up on UA-cam so you can watch it again.

Terminator: Salvation and Genisys were great, and actually pushed the story forward in a way that Dark Fate doesn't. I think any further Terminator films should let go of time travel, unless it concerns travelling into the future, and involve a full on war of the machines.
Completely agree with kevin. Also what's the point here? Female to replace the male. One ai for another. Meh. It's another retcon to retcon for new generations
Interesting that Nick says this movie doesn't have James Cameron on it and neither does Alita: Battle Angel. Cameron has came out and said Dark Fate was mostly Miller's ideas and vision but Robert Rodriguez said Alita was Cameron's vision. I know Cameron is an amazing filmmaker but we do forget that he did Avatar, which, while being extremely successful, had a lot of script issues. As does Alita: Battle Angel. Cameron isn't always perfect in that regard.
DanielHodder7 He executes bad/generic story ideas extremely well though to make up for it. He could’ve taken all of Dark Fate’s ideas and still make a comparable masterpiece to T2 with them.
And in comparison, Alita is miles better than Dark Fate. Hell, if Cameron wasn’t busy with Avatar, he probably would have done Alita himself. Terminator should have been left alone and Alita should be further explored in at least two more movies.
The T-1000 was a flawed design because it lacked the punch of the T-800. That’s actually the only thing I liked from T3 when they combined the two. The T-1000 was an assassin but in my opinion it failed cause it couldn’t put down Arnold in a straight up fight. The REV-9 definitely could when the exoskeleton is in it.
EthicsDK The T-1000 easily overpowered Arnold at all times, Arnold just had plot armor. That’s why I like how the TX didn’t hesitate to neutralize him for good when he was down. Rev9’s endoskeleton seemed weak and his liquid form nowhere near as effective as T-1000, he needed both to be a threat, he wasn’t double the threat.
Kevin and Nick make it seem like the movies, hell any things really, they don't like are personal attacks on them. Which is a lot of things but it must also be hard to criticize something on camera without sounding so negative.
So I didn't see the movie when it first came out. Started watching the review and decided to turn it off and come back when I finally get around to it. Turn it back on to Tim in the middle of the ad reads saying "so when you find yourself on a post apocalyptic world". Prophet, they name is Tim
T3's ending fixed what T2's ending broke: Time travel. Having John Connor exist in a world where they prevented Skynet created a time paradox. That movie isn't canon despite it giving that whiny bitch of a plot device, who cared more about a T-800 Teddy Ruxpin than the people who tried to raise him, character development and a reluctant relatable Hero's Journey cuz people didn't like it. Those people aren't going to like this either cuz rose-tinted glass is impervious to everything.
There were three big problems with the movie. First the writing was atrocious, especially at the start. The second is the pacing is all off. It's like 5 seconds after the Terminator dies he's back. There is just no suspense or planning just run run run. The brief rest spots feel like they only exist to move the plot forward. And third it's like James Cameron had a check list of things to include. OK, we need spoiler and spoiler and spoiler. And the film isn't even subtle about it. It has to make it painfully explicit that these things are here and they didn't exist in T2. Sometimes with eye rolling dialog. It's a fine action movie but a terrible Terminator movie.
I have to agree with Kevin and Nick. I did not like this movie (I actually like Genisys better). Also... Sarah Connor should've had another son and called him John.
I liked it. Fucking over JC like that was a bummer, dont really buy Dani as the leader of the resistance, and still trying to piece together the new timeline but still really enjoyed this movie.
Weird takes in here, IMO. I thought this was a solid action film AND a solid Terminator sequel. It built on a lot of the themes of the originals and was fun for it’s whole run, pretty much.
Meh movie. What stops 7 more terminators from appearing post-credits and killing Danny(ie) of screen? Pointless movie, waste of time. Only existed for so a woman could say this line: "You're not the mother of SOME MAN." Big cringe-worthy moment. Action was decent, the new a terminator was interesting as hell. Timeline problems, no humor, but other than that, meh, have it on in the background when family is over.
I have to still watch this video. But here's my take that I had to hold back for the last week and a half. The first two acts of the movie are great, but once Karl enters the scene, the movie broke for me completely... Basically, the T-800 of Dark Fate becomes Bossley from Charlie's angels (Karl - Charles - Charlie...), that sends three women around in the world, doing stuff for him. Grace is great, Sarah Connor is great... but somehow seeing Arnold again made me smile and frown at the same time. And for some reason I had more fun watching Genisys the week before...
Also, dont think he made his hand a gun. I think he made the lunch bag out of liquid metal around the gun to hide the gun.
The Terminator in this movie is played by Gabriel Luna who also plays Ghost Rider(Robbie Reyes) in Agents of Shield.
*Hot take* salvation wasn’t bad!
The first half wasn't...
Salvation was fucking great
I haven't watched the full video yet but how much longer must we wait for the Kinda Funny Lord Of The Rings Trilogy Extended Edition In Review? Give the people what they want!!! Do It!!!
Yesss! Keep commenting about it!
Watching this late and it doesnt really matter but obviously they did LOTR but with that funhaus chick and it throws me off and I dont like it
omg kevin shaved. MILK MOMMY IS BACK IN THE FLESH
I liked the nod to " I need your clothes, your boots and your motorcycle" when Grace takes that guy's clothes, boots and automobile.
Kevin's transition to The Critic is complete.
34:25 hells yeah, tortas de carne asada for the win. Put a little sour cream, a little diced onion and cilantro, a little fre shavocado with some beers. Too bad I'm not a hobbit otherwise I'd go for second dinner...
Nick legit just left for 25 minutes😂

I see
I need a Terminator The Sarah Connor Chronicles in review series. That was a great sequel to T2.
Yes it was
I loved that show, it ended too soon
So if John Connor is killed as a child then he can't grow up to send Kyle Reese back. Therefore, John was never born in the first place, Skynet proceeds to send the missles, and judgement day happens.
There is no Skynet without John, so the film created an unnecessary paradox/plothole.

@@infinitybelt I know this is way late but you assumed wrong almost all of them loved it with Kevin being the main one against it lol.
She yelled out his name!!! She said carl!! It mattered to me damn it!!
Kevin looks like the Penguin in a John wick cosplay wig.
Kevin isn't hosting anymore?
Terminator: Dark Fate is definitely worth watching as a fun action movie.
The best choreographed action scenes in the terminator series.
king h
T3 has great action too, I would say more impressive for its time than this one. Better pacing too.
I've never heard anyone pronounce torta like tOr-DuH before, my entire bloodline rolled in their grave just now. 😂

@josephthemighty Great point. I'm convinced now.
Nice touch that Carl is able to have a dog.

Thanks for the show :)
If you just want to hear the spoiler free impressions then don't. Fairly big spoiler at 3:55 imo.

Totally agree with greg
We sat through 52 godamn X-Men in reviews but you fucks can't review all of the Terminator movies huh
Amen
Andy's condor line wins the show.
I thought the movie was pretty good but I didn't like it enough to want to see a sequel down the line.
Big Kev Dog doing no shave november?
I think he shaved for his Loki Halloween costume
To me the real Terminator 3 will always be The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
Kevin and Nick make it seem like the movies, hell any things really, they don't like are personal attacks on them. Which is a lot of things but it must also be hard to criticize something on camera without sounding so negative.
the whole plot of dark faith is so stupid
I think they didn’t send a T-1000 cause it was never made. With how the future changed.
Hummers ARE water tight!
click = kilometer

3 minutes in, Greg’s clearly drunk, not sure if I can take his opinion seriously.
Jesus, Andy really likes ragging on Blizzard Cinematics, huh?
Or maybe it has to do the hoopla last month regarding blitzchung?
I have to agree with Kevin and Nick. I did not like this movie (I actually like Genisys better).
Also... Sarah Connor should've had another son and called him John.
the idea with t-800 growing conscience and becoming a family man with a dog is completely ridiculous.
Fuck dont bring up Gemini man. Dark Fate does what THAT and Men in Black completely failed to do, actually fun, tense action.
it definately weakens Terminator, thank you Kev-Dog
I liked it. Fucking over JC like that was a bummer, dont really buy Dani as the leader of the resistance, and still trying to piece together the new timeline but still really enjoyed this movie.

Terminator 3, Genisys and Salvation were all better than this piece of shit movie.
What! Did Tim just spoil the opening if the movie before the spoilers! Come on, I didn't want to know that he was killed 😔
This movie, it’s *NOT GOOD*
that one shill guy in the room
Dumpster fire. Salvation was the only good sequel.
I heard this movie was...VERY bad. Like worse than Genisys
