Just picked up a pair of these and wow they punch above their weight. The cool feature is you can pair them in true stereo as opposed to separate mono speakers. You do this with the bluetooth button instead of party share. That puts this up on a whole different lvl.
thanks great info think i will go with neo. hate propreitary cables plus the other advantages you mentioned. volume sounded about the same even though i thought one was 50W and the other was 80W
Thanks for a really niice comparison . When you said the Neo is basically a Mini without the fake tweeter - that was spot on ! I much prefer the 50watt Neo wihout the bass hole (which is what the fake tweeter was covering)...:)) The 80watts for the Mini just muddied up the sound, by overpowering the box size. Based on your video, and a visit to Walmart where they happened to have a Neo hooked up, I have ordered today. Subscribed, for my appreciation.
Thanks for the info on the battery light. I didn't think that was right, because that's not how the Rave Mini shows the battery status. I went today and swapped the Neo for a new one and the battery lights all work on this one.

Have you seen Trance Go, sold by Amazon , i have this impression that they're basically the same speaker same Watts 50W, the only difference is Rave Neo has RGB lights, same shape, and size what do you think?

Not for sure, but I think the Neo and Mini share the same tweeter and woofer. I don't know that the Neo would be an upgrade over the Mini in quantity, but I think it would be in quality. IMO, the Neo has a little cleaner sound from top to bottom of the frequency response, but the Mini will get a little louder. If you want more output in your shop you could always add a second Rave Mini and run the two together wireless. The Neo supports the new "Partycast" wireless connection of up to 100 speakers, but the Rave Mini does not, so you can't connect a Rave Mini with a Neo wirelessly.
i dont get it why they dont make these led lights work as sony made them patterns on those stereo systems like mhc rg 310 where they actualy moved the second the sound was made.. these jst feel like they move randomly as they want to..

On the master unit make sure it is Bluetooth paired to your device. Now hold the party cast button until it starts flashing then on the second unit make sure it is not Bluetooth paired then press the party cast button until it starts rapidly flashing. It should sink up at this point. I had to get a magnifying glass to see the vague instructions.
With only 1 woofer and 1 tweeter, kinda hard to be stereo...lol. IMO, stereo with these small, compact speakers isn't a must have. The speakers are so close together that it's not like you get real stereo separation anyway.

The mini is 101 dB i Think and the neo is 98 db. At least that is what They say on the website

Neo is louder than the Motion+. The Motion+ may have a little better detail and clarity in the mids and highs, but the Neo has more bass capability.
