Dee: Who is this guy?
Amon: I am the solution.
That line is cold❄
😅😅😅
Most of the Korra haters I know personally actually liked the show after rewatching it years later
Honestly if they're still holding on to the hate at this point, It's easy to write them off as Nostalgia Goggles lock on Aang, Hate-Bandwagoneers, straight up sexist, or lacking in Media Literacy. Especially if they watched seasons 3 & 4.
A lot of people that I see that still hate on her only talk about her circumstances in season 2, and then say that they didn't watch past that😂
I’m loving Korra so far!! 🤩 -D
I feel like they only saw the first season and stopped. I can see why since Korra can be a bit brash in the beginning but she does grow.
I wasn't a fan of it myself but I did like how it wrapped up. Took me a while to watch book 2 but that was because I forgot about it since I haven't had cable for years at that point.
I loved Korra from the beginning. It's different but its not bad. It's amazing. I was shocked when I learned there was so much hate towards it
That's me 😅. Used to despise it, especially season 2 and perhaps 4 but starting to liking it more nowadays.
If I could Blood Bend, I'd make everyone in the room get up and do the THRILLER Zombies dance... Or Madonna's Vogue dance. 😂
Blood benders could be great choreographers lol
I’ll make everyone get outta the way and maintain a 3 metre minimum covid-distancing from me😂
It’s believed in the kora flashbacks that Suki was still Zukos personal bodyguard in the fire nation because she never left, she had a long distance relationship with Sokka which was in the comics which of course they’d still visit each other or when they needed the full gaang for a fight, they reunited with each other. Btw the whole Suki dying young thing was just made up by a fan. And katara was probably taking care of the kids while Aang, Toph, and Sokka were working together.
The way Amon resisted the Blood bending really solidfied how scary he is,and why he leaces such a lasting impression on Korra
I watched Korra ever since it was aired, waited for the episodes every week and every season after the other. I never hated this series one bit. ❤❤❤
"Damn Korra going thru the most"....bruh..just WAIT 😭
Look at that chiseled jaw line on Sokka, hubba hubba!
🔥🔥🔥
No wonder we was the backbender in the OG show!
There’s a reason why he’s the rizzbender. He had lovers from all nations + the moon😭
Amon's pull up at the cabin is such a top tier moment. "I... am the solution" Ice cold delivery.
and Mako is so cringe bro. Intentional or not, it's just too much fukkboi energy for me 😩
1 - That Kyoshi shirt... WOW
2 - I'm glad the response has been positive to Korra reactions on the channel
3 - Amon simply walking through Tarrlok's blood bending was so cold. Probably top 5 moments from book 1 if you ask me
I understand if people didn't really like Korra in the beginning, because she's brash and impatient and so different from Aang, but I feel like she's supposed to have these character flaws. Perhaps we as viewers are supposed to dislike her, because her character development throughout the series is so much more impactful this way. Personally, I love how her character was written
Agreed! Great insight here 🙏🏽🥰
I wish more people appreciated writing like this.
Like, maybe we’re not supposed to love watching the love triangle.
Maybe it’s supposed to be portrayed how it was, tedious and over dramatic teen angst😂
well yea, i can see that! Aang always excelled in the spiritual side and needed to learn bending and korra's the total opposite, she is totally out of tune with her spirit and all her other internal struggles! the writing is so good and some ppl just cant see past that! i agree with you!
Yeah, many people don't want Mary Sue characters.. and here's the next person born an Avatar (someone you'd expect more than anyone to be a Mary Sue) and yet Korra's packed full of flaws right out the gate. Korra is spiritually stunted, politically ignorant, and tucked away in a safe lil pocket of the world for all her upbringing. She may have great physical power, but she's often way in over her head, just riding on confidence and moxie. ATLA may feel like a more solid package for the story its telling, but Aang's challenge is almost entirely physical whereas Korra is steeped in character progression throughout.
But i don't understand why they would expect Korra to be the same personality as Aang when they know that Kyoshi literally exists who's the opposite of Aang, and let's not act like Aang wasn't either full of flaws with lots of mistakes
6:16 oh... that was... quite some future sight
She also called Amon the anti-avatar lol
I think it used to be cool to hate Korra but I think now people are really appreciating the series for how good it is (except season 2)
Hey man! S2 gave us Beginnings Part 1 and Part 2.
@@mrchubbles beginnings was the only good thing from s2 lmao. but those 2 single episodes made up for how much I hated s2 😂😂
Season 2 is really good, it's a mess but a funny mess. And the familial and spiritual conflicts were nice too.
Every reaction video I watch for season 2 I only watch beginning episode 1&2
S2 has some good moments but yeah, I agree!
I think they are producing a new animated series with Aang and team when their older. Can't wait!
That’s going to be so epic!! 🤩🤩🔥
And a new earth avatar
Amon walking through that blood bending is still a top 5 moment in korra for me. The bad assery of it is just too much.
🔥🔥🔥
Most of the hate for Korra is mostly surface knowledge about the show, or people not making it past S2. Which honestly has some of my favorite episodes, even if it is the weakest of the series, which isnt THAT bad once you get past the first half of it lol Can't wait for the journey yall are gonna be on 🎉🙏
lol p.s. if it helps, Mako isnt trying to be toxic on purpose, he's just a young guy who cant sort out his feelings for 2 VERY beautiful women 😅
6:13 as a korrasami shipper, I approve this statement💪
9:54 classic non denial denial. “That’s ridiculous” is technically true, but it’s misleading.
6:16 these predictions wow
No we’re also missing Suki 😢 and we never get to see her
6:48 did you mean: the Court of Owls
I love korra. Definitely think of the show overall as lesser than last airbender, especially season 2. But over the years I've rewatched it and found it pretty good overall. Love seeing your reactions now that im rewatching again to try and get my palate back after watching netflix (which i found to be not good).
Ngl. When i started watching LOK, Daddy Amon is the first villain i genuinely want to have been successful. Just bcoz how Daddy he is and how lowkey unlikeable most characters are. They’re young adults that somehow more childish than the children in ATLA😂 Thank God they get better in the later eps..
Lin and her 4 children😂
Glad you’re enjoying the show!! 🎉
well Aang dosnt sounds like Aang, cos he is 30-ish years old ( i am guessing here his age) and not 12 anymore ( and yes i know that Zuko's voice actor has the same voice today than back then, but that is an outlier not the norm)
He’s 40 Toph said.
Hey Avatar Meesh and Avatar Dee "Happy Monday". I hope you two had a wonderful weekend. But yes this was a good episode. It nice seeing Aang, Sokka and Toph as adults in the past. As well seeing adult Aang in action.
I remember being surprised that Tarrlok wasn't Amon. I remember first watching the show. I thought Tarrlok was Amon pretending to be a none bendering to cause problems/conflicts with benders and none benders. But anyway I hope you two have a wonderful day. Stay safe, take care and stay amazing.
Happy Monday, Rob!! 🤩🙏🏽 totally thought Tarrlok was Amon too! Haha they really got me there! Can’t wait to post S1 finale!! 🔥
-D
Was not having that good of a day, thanks for the upload ladies ❤️
Aw we hope you’re having a much better day! Sending all the love to you 🥰🫶🏼
Possible reasons for the Korra hate:
First: Season 2
Second: it feels that the writing could've been more polished, it needed a more time and probably more episodes to refined some characters or to go into detail about the new world and the plot of each season.
Third: while the story of atla was about aang learning to be an avatar to save a world that seriously needed him for one simple particular treat, the fire nation, TloK was about Korra, a bending prodigy, learning to humble herself in a world that didn't need her as much as it needed aang and facing multiple issues that are far more complex and hard to deal with than just beating an evil overlord.
Meesh & Dee Awesome Video/Episode Today!!🔥🐐🐐💎
Odd how Aang's visions came in the form of camera angles from all sides and not just from his perspective, huh?
Well so did Roku’s for Aang.
@@Gamelover254 I guess the show runners didn't think of this little thing, huh? 😂
@@sammylane21 wdym? When roku and aang went to watch rokers memories they were WATCHING them and standing from the distance. This is basicly the same just korra watching from a 3rd perspective
@@sammylane21 Or maybe the show runners just know better than you do. First person perspective isn’t always the best way to convey information to the audience.
mako got sum nerve 😂😂
It's usually Korra as a character that people hate about series. People tend to like the side characters and Villains more. At least for me Korra isn't even on my list if asked to rank my top 10 or 20 characters.
Omg I’m late but that wasn’t an old lady 😂
One thing I noticed about Legend of Korra… The bending does looks more advanced graphics and better but their bending style to me isn’t it… I mean in ATLA we saw each nation with their unique form and style of being with the stance and the way the move their hands and fingers but in Korra it’s just like the all just using Punches and Kick for every style of bending it looks like they’re forcing it and using strength… Ion know I’m just saying it’s been a while I watch Korra and I’ve been noticing this since you guys started
i have an honest i think this show would of been better with more episodes than 12-14 or a longer runtime for each episode i wonder if that was enough time to tell the story or not
Gaang is the best ❤❤❤
🤩🤩🤩
It's nice seeing the details of the Northern and Southern water tribes being opposite. Katara and Hamma from the South can bloodbend during a full moon. Meanwhile Yakone and Tarrlok from the North can bloodbend anytime EXCEPT during a full moon.
They can bloodbend anytime. He was just not doing it to have an alibi he's not a bloodbender in the court
I will never understand the Korra hate. She's great, and the show is great, especially season 3 😊
❤️❤️❤️
I like Legend of Korra, but the best legitimate criticism of the series is the awkward love triangle(s)
I recently learned that originally the writers wanted to make Asami a femme fatale villain who was an equalist spy but the show creators decided they liked her and rewrote her as a heroine.
But I think they did it kind of sloppily with regards to the love triangle. If it was an awkward love triangle between Good Avatar and Evil Villainess it would resolve itself but it was hastily changed to a love triangle between three good people so it drags on awkwardly and sucks the narrative oxygen out of the room.
im curious is that sakuras voice actress from naruto playing the prosecutor
Let’s gooooo 🔥korraa bae💕🎉🎉🎉🎉
Lfg!!! 🤩🤩🤩
Guest stars
D. B. Sweeney (Aang)
Kate Higgins (Toph)
Chris Hardwick (Sokka)
Clancy Brown (Yakone)
Logan Wells (Meelo)
Lance Henriksen (Lieutenant)
Richard Epcar (Saikhan)
AJ Gentile (council page - metalbender officer)
Jeff Bennett (radio broadcaster - bailiff)
Maurice LaMarche (defense attorney)
Watching the love-triangle weekly definitely contributed to many initial dislikes of Korra imo. But she's not Aang and that's good, she has her own unique struggles
Also Daddy Aang
I wanna know if Captain Planet showed up in either TLAB or TLOK, would he be in big trouble with "The Avatar" of either series? 😂
I never got the hate. Part of it I think is the love triangle. But I am sorry, it is realistic!
Katara can not beat Yakone.
Bending evolved quite a lot since their time
4:57 yep you are right it's not even sound like Aang 😭
Maybe cause he’s like 30 at that point and not 12…
Korra is good , fight me lol
6:13👀👀
6:15 👀👀👀
That’s a great line Dee you should put that on a shirt: This Guy What A POS. for you’re guys merch
😂😂🙏🏽
❤
Sokka councilman not judge.
People didn’t like the show because of season 2 lol😂
Not for nothing, but the Council Page who ratted out Tarrlok is male. It's very ambiguous, I know.
Me : that's a man baby!
moooooooooore
I'm glad to see so many commenters call out atla genwunners for being nostalgia blinded and how their lok hate is unjustified
Season 2 of lok is the weakest of lok, but it's still better than about 70% of seasons 1 and 2 of AtLA
Honestly I think the writers did Mako dirty with the love triangle. It was supposed to be one season and Asami was gonna be a double agent
Fr Mako has that Zuko potential and it’s annoying that they just making him a lover boy
LOK hate is unjustified. The only thing I don't like is that it never had multi-seasons greenlit at once, so each season had to be self-contained which kinda killed an overarching villain/plot.
Yeah Nickelodeon had no faith in this show
6:16 😂😓🌛
Have you heard of Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts?
Dee: "Who is this guy?"
Okay Dee, with this chapter you have been given all the clues to deduce Amon's secret. Can you figure it out before it's revealed?
why would an 40 year old sound like an 12 year old?
Nice tan Meesh ❤
I agree. They should just kiss each other 😁
I watched Korra first, then Avatar, and while I like both of them, they're also both flawed. All of the "Avatar is the greatest animated series ever" discourse is a bit hyperbolic, as the first season in particular has some quite rough bits -- it's unlikely I would have gotten through it if I hadn't already watched Korra and had some faith it would improve.
Korra... well, most of my criticisms of it would be spoilers -- several seasons have opponents with political views that are analogous to real world ones (or literally use their name), a neat idea for a more grown up show, but unfortunately the writers very clearly didn't understand the politics they were analogizing and it comes off as a centrist liberal caricature, rather than anything recognizable to either people who actually hold those political views, or people who are critical of them.
React to Bahubali movie ❤
highest grossing movie in india ❤
