- alright guys, this is it, everything i have learned about composition and orchestration and production went into this, i spent the entire last week working on this with the goal to push my skills a step further. my goal was to create "the ultimate epic", which depicts a character who has to make a huge sacrifice in order to win the story. i know this piece is pretty lenghty, but i wanted to give it proper build up as it "tells a story", starts off very moody, almost depressive in the first half and goes beyond epic for the entire second half, ending on the biggest orchestral tutti you will hear for a while xDD. i hope you guys enjoy this little "tale" about making sacrifices for the greater good :) much love, Kkev.

@@Sn0wballNinja It was mostly a complete rip off of a moment in The Adventure Zone lol I had the party explore this small town that had something strange going on and then eventually after a series of events they began to hear a rumbling in the ground and cracks and fissures formed, ripping apart the landscape. Then a white light shot from out of the ground and the earth began to cave in swallowing them whole. They were burned and crushed and saw only white light...
Then...
They woke up again, on the outside of the town. As if nothing had happened...
And thus began their first Time Loop campaign :)

@@Jay-Tan No. Just an original short story. I had a mix of Star Wars and Star Trek in mind, but I tried to make it general Sci-Fi Captain and Crew about to make... well... a final heroic sacrifice.

This is what you would hear when someone goes to save someone or something's life, and fights with all their strength, no matter the cost. Even if the protagonist gets seriously injured. Even if he/she has to go beyond his/her limits. Even if it costs him/her his/her life.
You can say "their" instead of "his/her". But yeah you're right

Loved this. I do story meditation with music and I just imagined a hero leading his army to fight off an eldritch demon and his entire army is sacrificed to the demon in an act of unity to destroy it. The hero is simply the final trigger. It involved an act of writing seals into the body of the demon to separate its parts (these parts were souls of those consumed by its lich-lord like tendencies to take bodies and spirits in as hosts). The hero, who is blind, knows he is the only one who will survive because the very act of "seeing" the demon causes it to immediately take in your soul and cause you to become ash. His army knows this too. They all know this is the only way. So when the hero finally writes the final seal to tear the god like entity down in a single swoop, it is with the rage and sadness of everything he just immediately lost. Including friends. He finalizes the seals and pulls it, breaking the rule of physics, grabbing it and tearing the demon asunder as if the impossibility of doing such was never an option to be considered. When he does so, everything is pulled slowly into slow motion. The hero's eyes - fierce. The demon is a fragmented mess.

Just found this and im using it today for a miniboss fight where the party is facing an old friend (a pc nonetheless) who chose to join the BBEG. Today is the last session of this game. I'll tell you all how it goes >:)

I played all the souls games, so frickin good. But i know nothing bout the lore sadly xD in that case i prefer when games tell me.
@@jugglerkkev Understandable. Vaatividya does a great job explaining it tho. A short snippet from what little I remember (and why this song is so great) is that after you beat that fire dude (Soul of cinder) you sacrifice yourself to the first flame. Only the flames just BARELY manage to even envelope you, in stark contrast to the earlier games where the flame is like a nuclear bomb. Really makes the title fit SO WELL cuz the flame is weakening with every new link, and dark souls 3 hints at you very well being the last one to link it before it simply fades to embers. Kinda making you the "Last sacrifice" in a way, and proving that Gwyn's attempts to revitalize it with the whole fire linking process was pointless and vain.
This is what i would like to hear in the final scene in the epic movie. Great work!

I'm totally gonna use this for a campaign I'm running where the party defeats the final boss only to realize that the Kings Twelve who've been guiding them throughout the game plan on cutting off their world from the others to serve as a prison for the antagonist. Should they refuse, they will fight a god incarnate in the form of twelve consecutive bosses, ending in the one who's been their trusted companion since the beginning.

She'll go out in a blaze of glory and her name will be echoed throughout history as the greatest pirate to ever live, one who redeemed herself and became a hero.

I am writing a story, and plan can just see the scene in my head, a character (main) sacrifices herself to save everyone from a dark corruption,
There will be no sound, and just this this music if it were to be put in video form, and it is just so amazing. She knows that she will not have the strength to escape the portal, and neither will the main villain . But no matter, she sacrifices herself and both she and the villain go into an abyss of white. She smiles and says your welcome , and then is enveloped by the light

In that moment in battle, when all hope feels lost, everybody expects that one person to keep standing, to fight, and to win the impossible. But if everybody thought that, it wouldn't happen, and they would see defeat.
But...
