To be fair, the circumstances dictated that Naofumi only had one shot, so why not go all in?

Well if you look at his H.U.D it looks like it is targeting the pope to be the blood sacrifice and the spell did not say what the actual sacrifice would be since the rage shied spells are all about giving power with out you knowing the payment the spells are owed. Naofumi knows that now.

he is mature enough to know using the shield will cost some sacrifice, but he doesnt care, its either that or die and lose those two gals he loves.

Rising of the Shield Hero has one hell of a soundtrack. Seems only legt that it gets recommended.
Right at 1:00, you can hear the "Rising of the Shield Hero theme", but so much darker. So cool!

I mean it kinda does look like it now with the overlapping plates but its more likely to look like that of a dragon... For obvious reasons

Now that you put it like that Naofumi is almost the perfect champion of Khorne. Consumed with anger, bloodlust and Vengeance. As well as being willing to shed his own blood and that of the enemy.

My favorite OST in the entire series. That first second draws you in, and the ominous and imposing sound keeps you down in your seat.

This is the greatest Anime ost I've heard, it fits so well in any character's downfall or turning over to evil.
First time I watched this (now I'm at watchthrough #4 :?) ), I legit cried when i saw Naofumi lose that much blood. I couldn't see my boi like that.

@@blackmask6351 good speculation but I gotta say you're wrong there. First of all, Naofumis damage resistance makes it longer and harder for him to die, just look how much blood he lost during the dog bite episode. Secondly, the amount of blood was shown as more than it actually was, because they were attempting to make the scene dramatic, and also, the blood sacrifice jaws that ate the pope was made of pure blood. We can see that spells at different like that, because otherwise how would any other spells make sense. I mean, for real, the pope caught on fire, and so did Glass. Just saying, (not trying to be mean or rude) but there I no way Naofumi would actually die from that, especially since he has healing abilities and the queen tended to him almost immediately after he collapsed.

Gotta be honest, I hope to see more of the Wrath shield in the upcoming seasons.
I think that's kind of the point. The curse series is obviously an unnatural corruption of Naofumi's power and shield with serious side effects meant to limit its use.

The Bless Series is a counter to the Curse Series. Besides, Bless isn't really that powerful, only Curses are.
And if our Cardinal Heroes manage to unlock Curse Series, oooh boy their party better get their minds back in place. Cuz play or mishandling fire will get you BURNED! And those burns take time to heal!
We all know by some point, Naofumi and soon the three other heroes will master Curse Series. Because the Curse will make you lose your sanity. All because our minds are built for negative. It kinda reminds us that our natural negative minds bring destruction to life, and death to loved ones.

We only saw one from the 7 and its the wrath. Each curse series have different conditions and of course different drawback effect i dont want to spoiler too much so i only say other heros will unlock curse series too but i dont think we ever gonna know all of them because i dont know how the hell can you unlock Sloth for example? But i would be curious as fuck what Sloth series can do xD put the enemys into sleep? X)

@@thecosgamervir73 MHA music is made to hype you up, and it does, but in a Saturday morning cartoon kinda way. This evokes the sacrifice that often comes with true heroism. I haven't watched Shield Hero, so I'm actually talking strictly about music too.

This may be Web Novel only but I like how the Pope/High Priest calls Naofumi a devil then at the end of the Web Novel Naofumi achieves divinity. Funny how things work.
