Woman’s weekly was the magazine I asked my mum for instead of Bunty comic ( when I was 8 ) because of knitting patterns & short stories & one we shared for many years till she passed away & I continued to get till they changed the format & the quality was poor I had a scarecrow mum made me though she thought toys were frivolous knits ( she was test knitter for Paton & Baldwins ) the garments found in wool shops advertising the wool & pattern Mum was good all round crafter like yourself I’m not nearly so good but knitting is my relaxation I have made the nativity as an heirloom for my granddaughter

Hi Paula I have just started watching your channel and am working my way through your entertaining episodes. You have kept me company through my ironing pile , making soup, knitting and cheered me up through a patch of ill health. I love your happy fun manner, pets, toys, knitted projects and family chat. My family think my interests , ( I’m a granny) are a bit ‘fluffy’ but I share yours and find it so refreshing and encouraging.x

Another lovely video, enjoyed seeing your knitted toy books and hearing how your knitting began. My Mum taught me to knit when I was young, I’m so glad she did. She would always have some knitting on the go and sewing too. Wish I’d bothered to learn to sew, I’m a bit scared of sewing machines😂only because it’s the unknown I suppose. My Mum embroidered and did tapestry too but it’s the knitting that’s always been my thing not that I’m anything special at it so I hope to try more and more new stitches and projects. Oh my goodness your bears are super cute. I’m a big toy maker but I normally crochet them. I have sewn a few dolls in the pass. You have inspired me to try and make more. Your work is superb, and sooo quick.
I still have my Jean Greenhow book and the knitted dolly with the blue pinafore and jacket I made out of it for my daughter ?She is now 31 and has a little baby of her own such great books and patterns wonderful memories and a really enjoyable podcast .I'm a new subscriber and really enjoy your company you are so talented and totally unaware of how fabulous you are !
