Her story sounds JUST like mine. I grew up in a Christian household and I met an Arab guy from Iraq. He wanted me to convert to Islam so I did and we got married. I wore the hijab and burqa, I did the 5 pillars of Islam (except Mecca). I also read the Quran. We were together for a few years then divorced. I started questioning why Islam didn’t believe that Jesus Christ was the Son of God when I believed it ALL my life. I asked questions and NOBODY could answer my questions but they would become frustrated with me asking about Jesus. Then I became frustrated and converted back to Christianity. Now I am an Evangelist in the Dallas, TX area talking to Muslims telling them the truth. We must pray for Muslims they are CLEARLY deceived. They believe they have the truth and worship the REAL TRUE LIVING God. But their Allah is actually satan deceiving them. Our Bible says satan is a deceiver, the Quran says Allah is the greatest deceiver of them all. So pray these people eyes and ears will be open. And they seek the Lord with all of their heart

People converting to another faith to be with someone they love is not wrong if they are converting to Christ. You could never go wrong with following Christ. Praxticing Christians must strive to bring their spouse in the correct church which is the body of Christ.

This is a lot of why western converts to Islam only stay for a few years. They get into it for a love relationship or the attention of friends, but once they start to focus on the actual religion, it doesn't add up.
I was a backsliding Christian and met a Muslim man. I refused to convert to Islam and after marrying I did look into it but research and some things that happened in my life bought me back to Jesus. I repented, was born again and life is amazing with Jesus, not easy and my husband obviously wasn't over the moon about it and can be very abusive towards me because of my faith buy he will not stop me.

The number of people especially ‘Christian’ women who had zero foundation of the truth of the gospel is really disappointing. Very thin beliefs with no real conviction. This leaves them very open to just seeing it as religion and then being easily fooled by a charming Muslim man. Soooo many stories of divorces after that (I guess it’s a good thing) when they find out what Islam REALLY IS. Wake up and get out! I almost got into the same situation with a Moroccan man. I recently left a very judgmental church and almost considered other routes of "spirituality". But deep down I couldn't ignore who Jesus is. He didn't do anything to me but save my soul. It was hard calling it quits with the guy when I said that I want to openly talk about Jesus in reverence and admiration. If Jesus isn't the foundation in a relationship, I don't want it. I don't regret my decision at all. I read my Bible every day and it's like this guy never existed. I only think of Jesus and how thankful I am that my soul is free. And I wish the same for that guy since I had the opportunity to share what the Gospel really is after he disrespected it with lies he was told.

I never understood why you have to learn Arabic and take on an Arab name when you convert. Also, no western music and very selection I’ve on movies. If Allah is god then I’m pretty sure he is ok with you speaking whatever language you speak and keeping your name. There is nothing special about Arabic
You do not have to learn Arabic fully to be Muslim. You only need to know the parts of Arabic that are required in the 5 times salat. Why is that so? Well, one of the wisdoms behind it is the preservation of the Qur'an by requiring that people have a connection to the language God revealed His words in. The Arabic language is a far more illustrative language where one word can mean many things at once. Simply relying on translation is not a good way to go. We have seen what this has done to the other religions where people no longer know how to recite or understand the original language of their holy scriptures. You also do not need to have an "Arab name" if you want to convert - I don't know where you got that from.
You should do some research on the Arabic language. It is a very special language that has many words to describe things which don't have a full zenglish equivalent
As far as supplication to Allah for things is concerned, this can be done in any language and there is no problem with it as Allah understands all languages.
The reason the Qu'ran is kept in Arabic and must be read in Arabic so it does not become corrupted. There is no compulsion to change your name. Arabic is a very pure language, unlike English which is completely bastardized, hence why Arabic was chosen, I'm guessing you're not a language teacher. Of course Allah is fine with whatever language you speak and keeping your name, but the Qu'ran must be read in Arabic in order to understand it. If you truly believe in God, learning another language to understand God's message is not asking too much.

A few points. 1 there are both Christian and non Christian documents that go back to months after Jesus' resurrection. 2 the changes in the quran (under Utman) changed huge meanings from it. 3 - you need to know verses from the quran which contradict themselves and bible verses which teach a different message. I was a backsliding Christian and met a Muslim man. I refused to convert to Islam and after marrying I did look into it but research and some things that happened in my life bought me back to Jesus. I repented, was born again and life is amazing with Jesus, not easy and my husband obviously wasn't over the moon about it and can be very abusive towards me because of my faith buy he will not stop me.

If Jesus isn't the foundation in a relationship, I don't want it. I don't regret my decision at all. I read my Bible every day and it's like this guy never existed. I only think of Jesus and how thankful I am that my soul is free. I never understood why you have to learn Arabic and take on an Arab name when you convert. Also, no western music and very selection I’ve on movies.

You do not have to learn Arabic fully to be Muslim. You only need to know the parts of Arabic that are required in the 5 times salat. Why is that so? Well, one of the wisdoms behind it is the preservation of the Qur'an by requiring that people have a connection to the language God revealed His words in. The Arabic language is a far more illustrative language where one word can mean many things at once. Simply relying on translation is not a good way to go. We have seen what this has done to the other religions where people no longer know how to recite or understand the original language of their holy scriptures. You also do not need to have an "Arab name" if you want to convert - I don't know where you got that from.
You should do some research on the Arabic language. It is a very special language that has many words to describe things which don't have a full zenglish equivalent
As far as supplication to Allah for things is concerned, this can be done in any language and there is no problem with it as Allah understands all languages.
The reason the Qu'ran is kept in Arabic and must be read in Arabic so it does not become corrupted. There is no compulsion to change your name. Arabic is a very pure language, unlike English which is completely bastardized, hence why Arabic was chosen, I'm guessing you're not a language teacher. Of course Allah is fine with whatever language you speak and keeping your name, but the Qu'ran must be read in Arabic in order to understand it.
If you truly believe in God, learning another language to understand God's message is not asking too much.

I tell Egyptians this all of the time. Just because you speak Arabic and follow Islam does not mean you are Arab. There may be some Arabian blood in there due to conquest. But if there is no Arab blood there how can you be Arabian when your ancestors built a civilization long before Islam existed?
Islam does not mean arabisation. Islam is a religion for all people from all backgrounds. It is a religion that teaches people the correct beliefs. How can anyone say Islam is arabisation when only 15% of the Muslims today are Arab? How can they say that when Islam is the religion of 2 billion ppl on this planet and is one of the most, if not the most culturally diverse religion out there? Do they not see that Muslims come from all places around the world and have been able to preserve large parts of their culture? Why is that so even after they lived under Islamic rule?
