Drizzy Flex Leo pretty much shows what optimal play looks like with whichever character he chooses. It’s really impressive. 3-stocking and 3-0ing his opponent in winner’s side grand finals is a bit sus, though. I think he might be doing better with joker than he has with any other character so far, so people get the impression that joker is broken.
Cadence Early meta Ike did just as well. Leo is just this good, and he keeps changing characters, so he’s hard to figure out. I don’t think any other player could pull this off.
It doesn’t matter who he uses, people will find away to say the character he uses is broken. Despite the fact nobody else can do what he does with a character.
Keep in mind, Samsora wasn't just some dude. He 3-0'd Void, Marss and Ally in a row in order to get to GFs. And not only did MKLeo 3-0 him, but in 2 of those games he didn't lose a single stock. We've just witnessed the birth of a monster.
Honestly sam wasnt playing good at all. Ive seen him play Mkleos IKE, Lucina. He was always close to beating him, but it was always a 5 match last stock situation. Samsora just couldnt find an anwer to this matchup.

You need to know the game before you start playing him to really even begin to get better at all. And being good with Joker isn't only getting kills while with arsene because thats "noob-like" in a sense. Look at Leo as an example, gets kills in and out of arsene, and he doesn't even need arsene all the time. Imagine Leo in a year or two because right now he's not even refined/perfected his Joker yet, he'll be insane and then, and only then be able to possibly contest Zero's 56 win streak 😂
wakosamurai it doesn’t matter how easy a character is to play, playing them at the level of this is automatically technical. Even little Mac would be somewhat interesting to watch if he was here.
Mrniceguy 818 he has been winning without Joker very consistently, just his Ike has been degrading recently due to the character itself. Overall a very versatile player who knows many different characters it seems (not JUST sword fighters, but mainly).
I really hope mkleo decides to just start using lil mac to win at tournaments so I can see all the comments on how lil mac is the best in the game and needs to be nerfed.
Joker is a good character, certainly, but Leo is just unbelievably good at this game. I've seen countless other people play Joker but it's almost as if Leo IS Joker and I'm just eating it up because he's so much fun to watch on screen.

Despite what you might think, his recovery is still Really susceptible to any lasting hitbox, he's also combo food dies relatively early. I also don't think people really take enough notice to this but arsene runs out faster when he's hit. While he gains damage and recovery, at his base, he's still the same character, so if you can push back and maybe even steal a stock, arsene won't matter.

Haven't watched the full set yet but holy shit, at 1:53 leo uses the gun's side step to basically directional airdodge past samsora's Fair while not suffering the lag of an actual directional airdodge. Like, dear God, the man is on another level.

Zackray with his Joker , Rob , Wolf , PT , Lucina , Marth , Snake , Wario will have a decent shot in the future . He is a similar type of player to Leo and Tweek with how he is capable of playing multiple characters at a high level . He just needs to find more time to start grinding the game . He is still a student so he doesn't put the same amount of time in the game like these top 2 players .

He isn't unbeatable per se, but his consistency and ability to adapt outclasses everyone by a large margin. You gotta dig extra deep to contest against leo. Tweek and marss has a grasp on how to beat him, but it isn't solidified.

Leo's situational awareness is off the charts. On that last stock, he saved his double jump after the back throw, drifted in and tanked the nair, then double jumped at the right moment to snipe Samsora's double jump. That sequence was amazing. Joker is really good, and I can see the comparisons to Sheik. Good frame data, a really versatile tool kit, a really good limit-esque mechanic and counter rolled into one, and great combos. But Leo is indisputably good. Good game to both players.

MKleo pulling no stops this grand finals, he was absolutely ruthless the first game.
Haven't watched the full set yet but holy shit, at 1:53 leo uses the gun's side step to basically directional airdodge past samsora's Fair while not suffering the lag of an actual directional airdodge. Like, dear God, the man is on another level.
@JenoPC Yep. It takes a lot of skill but it is possible. Joker's side dodges with his Gun ARE usable in mid-air.

Zackray with his Joker , Rob , Wolf , PT , Lucina , Marth , Snake , Wario will have a decent shot in the future . He is a similar type of player to Leo and Tweek with how he is capable of playing multiple characters at a high level . He just needs to find more time to start grinding the game . He is still a student so he doesn't put the same amount of time in the game like these top 2 players .

He isn't unbeatable per se, but his consistency and ability to adapt outclasses everyone by a large margin. You gotta dig extra deep to contest against leo. Tweek and marss has a grasp on how to beat him, but it isn't solidified.

Leo's situational awareness is off the charts. On that last stock, he saved his double jump after the back throw, drifted in and tanked the nair, then double jumped at the right moment to snipe Samsora's double jump. That sequence was amazing. Joker is really good, and I can see the comparisons to Sheik. Good frame data, a really versatile tool kit, a really good limit-esque mechanic and counter rolled into one, and great combos. But Leo is indisputably good.
