After feeling deflated, last thing i wanted to do was the edit. Watching back and reliving it all. Did everything i could to avoid it 😂🤣 Anyway here it is eventually.
Play Off Semi Final. Boston the visitors, after a tough game against Alfreton on Tuesday night. Coming out victorious on penalties. Two previous games we’ve had, both been draws. I mean what could possibly go wrong with this game. Ahhh yes not putting the ball in the back of the net. Not helped with what for me was a strange team selection at the back and on the wing. Was crying out for Corbett on the wing to run at them. Who’d be a manager hey, when tinpot vloggers are moaning 🤣😂
Anyway I don’t want to go on but fair play to Boston United taking another win on penalties. I believe they’d have taken a lot of mental fortitude from the victory at Alfreton, and were able to deal better with the pressure. Good to see Jai Rowe playing with a smile on his face again, a lot of time for him.
Yes it hurt losing and seeing opposition fans celebrating on the pitch. The good thing in all of this is that we had a pitch/stadium for the game to take place. Been one hell of a year for all. We’ll come out of this a better club and community. I urge the fans to stick by what we have achieved and push us on again next season. To see the stands full was beautiful. A new NLN attendance record, yes it doesn’t win games.
Though it does show what can be achieved with a belief and strength by all to get through things.
