Warrington Town 0-2 Scunthorpe United

Trip over the tops for a quick visit to Manchester to see Zeph. Then heading out to Warrington for the match. A game that on paper should have seen us comfortably win. Though it’s never that easy when we play a team near the bottom of the table 🤔 I always fear these games, the games we don’t turn up at and get sucked into a style of play that we don’t want to play. First half wasn’t the greatest, no real clear cut chances for us. Town having a penalty appeal turned away. So 0-0 it was.
As always with the second half you hope it’s going to turn around, eventually it did. Cal Roberts once again doing bits, this time with a ball through for Whitehall who eventually picked his spot. Then Fedara coming off the bench to wrap up the points, from another great ball through by Roberts. Seconds earlier Warrington had rattled the woodwork. If that had gone in who knows where the game would have taken us. It never, so let’s not worry.
Though when we play football at our pace/tempo, keeping the ball on the floor, we’re a much better team for it.
