Came back to rewatch for 3rd time {pats self on back} SUPERB vlog--I personally am allll about the long format. FAB trip getaway and so glad you are making plans for summer also. Luv that your kiddos & Jasmine are 'very' on board with spending so much time out on the beaches and lots of day trips. Underwater footage top tier and like many say... truly have voice made for radio/video etc. You deserve to have SO many more subs.
p.s. you 'knnnow' I was over hear like... "he is not going to skate anymore without proper protective gear...he promised in another video" ......thennnnn, welllll maybe you will next time. Not worth the damage on your bod and esp. possible head injury is all I can keep saying. {rant over}
Thanks! So happy people enjoy them. That trip was magical for us. Couldn't have gone any better. Jasmine always gets to the short end of the stick so it felt really good to see her find as much enjoyment in the island and me. The kiddos couldn't get enough too! The underwater footage was a breeze too film, the visibility was great and the colors were superb! About the helmet, I know I know. 22 years of skateboarding without one will be a hard habit to break! Falling isn't fun so I don't do it like I used to at least! Thanks again for the comments!
@@PNWSamson Hiya Chris----soooo I just never want to be 'that' person that says "I begged you or told you so". Also most importantly there are 3 pple and a doggo that rely on you on the daily + a home/commute/career...hence why I have 'over' commented about the safety gear. Not even just head protection--but what about if took out a important body part that allows you to in fact 'dive' / work / drive etc. I will just leave it now {or I hope to, haha}. Great videos as always in all ways. Those kiddos 'need' to be in movies - marketing of products, hehe....just so fabulous.

Yeah man, exciting for sure. Anacortes is beautiful. I'd like to drive down and explore some of the coast line there. I'd like to dive deception pass too! Looks intense but I'd imagine it would be rewarding
@@PNWSamson there’s an easy to access shore dive right by Deception pass at Rosario Beach that I freedive quite a bit. From there you can swim out and explore coffin rocks, and drift around Rosario head with the current. The pass itself would be wild! There’s a couple other nice shore dives off Anacortes, otherwise it’s boat access.

@@PNWSamson ended up doing port Renfrew that weekend. Shot a black rockfish but the current wasn't cooperating too much. One drop, FISH! Next drop, NO FISH!
Oh man, story of my life at Renfrew. Current, hazy visibility and swell. Finally find a school and the next drop the current pulls you somewhere else. It's a beautiful spot I've yet to master haha
Haha, a personalized puzzle! Love the video, looks like you really lucked out with the viz and weather! I suspect that crab is a longhorn decorator crab but hard to be sure. That's a common species so if you found it strange it is probably something else.
No, you are probably correct. I've seen them around a fair amount but I never looked into them much. I appreciate the information! Knew you'd be the first to let me know haha
If they ever travel around the PNW who knows! Our kids are right around the same age. I could definitely take Riley out for a good time spearfishing! Cheers!
I'd say on average around 50 seconds. I do quantity over quality to stay warm. Shorter dives and shorter diver intervals. The longer you relax at the surface the longer you can stay down but it gets cold in the winter.
