I want to say, THANK YOU! 😄I feel really badly that some of these, maybe trolls in some ways, have to comment so harshly assuming their way is the only right way. Thanks for being confident in what you're doing and for continuing to put it out for us, and the Dbags, to learn from!! 😂
I cane to see what you recommend since I’m a tile setter by trade for 32 years and I still like to learn tricks from others but I’ve been doing them the same as you so thanks for sharing I’m a follower greetings from South Texas McAllen area 👍
Nope he used to wrong cornerbead. That one he installed is the D100. U need D200 for door edges. Jambs come in and cover the inside edge. (Homie has drywall where the jumps need to be)
The wood frame works but this is a clean look to, if you have to go with a corner the screw on ones are OK. I do like the ones that tape on. I’d prefer to sub that out lol
Try using smooth shank drywall nails to fasten the bead. Screws tend to twist it.
Awesome comment James thank you for sharing
Wrong again. Both corners get the corner clipped. They don't overlap
Thanks for sharing DW you clip your corners and I’ll clip mine

Thank you, my friend Loving, Texas
I use staples or a clinch on for corner bead. Most of the time we use paper face corner bead which I’m my opinion is the best corner bead to use.
Hey Austin. Do you use paper corners for an outside corner?
Screwing in corner beads is wild...

My new old house 20yrs. Old has a lot of settling corner cracks and after opening one up they’ve been nailed at the edge of the metal?
Hey blue definitely. Nail pops are common… Just send them home and mud.
I cut mine back. N sometimes run a mesh tape on them. Sometimes

Nail on cornerbead has been an inferior product since the 70s.

Screws?? 1⅝ vinyl coat nails or use nail gun. Don't tuck bead under either,
