I really like the 80s and 90s comics and I miss them. The flat colors, the cheap paper they were printed on and the lots of text to read. We had to READ comics, not just look to digitally painted images. I'm working on a retro-style comic book these days and I'm really enjoying it. I love your channel, you say exactly what I feel about comics. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Your channel is exactly what I want to watch. Someone with both passion and skill talking , dissecting and analysing the best comic art. ( hope to see videos on stories and storytelling as well ) It’s awesome really. Hope the niche gets bigger and you get more subscribers. You are inspiring.
I am the law! Cool! Please still send it to me, I'd love to see it. I almost went for Judge Dredd and Tank Girl on this one as well, but when BloodWulf popped into my mind there was no going back.
I'm glad to hear about your life and art journey! Wish you the best moving forward! I also love your channel because you're DD Mark but for western comics. Much love! Also, I'm my opinion, I prefer Erik Larsen with Savage Dragon over Todd Mcfarlane with Spawn. Savage Dragon is much more colorful and diverse, whereas Spawn is mostly dark, gritty and edgy; Savage Dragon is everything to me, a good balance of elegance and edgyness for the story and art. Also, if you want another video to make, you can teach us how to draw like Duncan Fegredo, I loved his run in Hellboy; once he illustrated that book, I could not put it down, one of the best comic runs I have read. Anyways, Happy Halloween and I wish you the best!
Happy Halloween! Yeah I liked Savage Dragon as well. Erik Larsen took it very serious and I think he was probably the most consistent with his issues (close to monthly?) And it was kind of fun/naughty of him to have that Spider-man spoof. hehe Thanks for the Duncan Fegredo lead. I'll check his work out.
Nice BloodWulf and Zealot drawing, although I gotta say like how on your Fallout video. It had a very interesting Photoshop effect tip when you were drawing one of the characters at night I wonder how exactly was that done?
Thank you! lol I took that one down cause it got restricted... (that's what vault 69 will do for ya) You're right, I only did that dark and light layer technique there. I will revisit it and explain in detail in an upcoming video. Thanks for the tip!
@@retrosuperheroart2202 You’re welcome and previously on the Magnola mixed with Jones video that you did. I did try to share some images of some rendering techniques David Finch and Greg Capullo that I studied and I just wanting to get your opinion on it
@@retrosuperheroart2202 Well, I actually did send them on the previous video and I basically use Google Drive that way UA-cam could actually accept links to do it so they should still be there
Goddamn it I didn’t submit this one in time. I stayed up until last night to do work. Sorry about that!
No worries. There's a new chance each week. This week is gonna be interesting ;-)

Thank you! Good idea about the stories. You can bet Chris Claremont will be first for that topic.
@@retrosuperheroart2202 Awesome!
This video was inspiring to me. Really cool to see your amazing evolution from the '90s to today. :)
Thanks! I hadn't read them in years, pretty cringe stories lol Kind of like a stand-ups first open mics.
@retrosuperheroart2202 EXACTLY. You perfectly described the feeling of revisiting old drawings.
Awesome to see the results! I missed the deadline window for submission but I was working on a Judge Dredd piece.
