Adding onto this thought: Megumi was totally getting ready to summon his Totality wolf, then he flinches and switches to the Fleeing Hares hand signs. He then makes a comment about Sukuna's fingers. Man was ready to throw hands with Papa Toji, then felt Sukuna's presence pop up in Shibuya on top of everything else and said "HELL no, time to run". Mad props to Megumi's ability to analyze the situation so quickly.

It was one more sign proving that he felt bad/guilty about trying to sell him off, even though in his flashback he was desperately trying to convince himself that what he did wasn't that bad; because unlike him, Megumi had talent and would therefore be treated much better by the Zenin than Toji himself ever was.
remember what toji said before he died against gojo? he was happy to learn his kid is using fushiguro instead of zenin because it meant gojo kept his word and did prevent megumi from getting sold to the zenin clan
The animation for this arc is GOD TIER, it's so fluid and the fights are so well choreographed, the camera movement, the moves of the characters it's just incredible, huge praise for the animators for being able to pull this off.

A little clarification about Toji's being glad about Megumi's family name being Fushiguro... What it is supposed to convey is that Toji realized Megumi didn't grow up with the Zenin clan and that Gojo had fulfilled his last request. He sold him to the Zenin clan wishing he would be treated better than he himself was as he suspected Megumi would inherit a hereditary Zenin technique, which he did... the Ten Shadows technique being the most prized/most powerful technique of the Zenin clan (the same way the Limitless technique + Six Eyes are for the Gojo clan) and you'll get to see an actual first glimpse of why the technique is OP in the next episode. But deep down, Toji knew the Zenin were scumbags and that Megumi being happy with them was far from being a sure thing, hence his last words to Gojo.
This episode was FIRE! Literally 🔥 First of all, damn Toji is really HIM! Such as badass and it kinda sucks to see him go, but at least he stopped himself from harming Megumi any further. Though I wish he would have talked to him some more. Then boom Shigemo comes out of nowhere and slashes our boy. I knew the bastard was still alive. Kusakabe has got to be the most realistic and relatable character. It was cool to see him interact with Geto’s “Family” who I definitely wanna see more of as well. That battle between Sukuna and Jogo was nothing short of nuts! Not sure if this was the actual “Incident” but I think melting and blowing up the city would constitute as one. Kinda had me feel for Jogo at the end though, but it was his misfortune to go against such monsters. Though him being recognized as strong was cool and hearing how Mahito can get stronger was interesting. Sukuna just crashes anything he wants even if it’s a meeting in the afterlife 😆 He’s really at the top of the food chain and I really want to know more about his abilities and what he said to Jogo. Apparently he seems to know the bowl cut person, who’s finally been named. Don’t know what the hell that curse was at the end, but Shigemo can get bodied for all I care. I hope our Jujutsu High people are alright and I need the next episode to get here already!
13:08 They made the wording a bit unclear in the anime. In the manga Sukuna said "..until you reached the heights of Gojo Satoru." So yes, Sukuna was saying that Jogo had the potential to become as strong as Gojo if he had been more self centered and confident. Remember when Gojo unlocked his true potential? He was crazy and high on power, he wasn't angry about Riko dying or anything. He was just feeling himself and how good it felt to be alive in this world right now. And remember how Megumi unlocked his domain? By literally saying fuck it and imagining a future version of himself who can do it all. Sukuna philosophy seems to be true, being self centered, only acting how you truly want to act, disregarding everything else, basically living purely based on desire, that's what makes you truly strong. That doesn't mean you have to be a selfish asshole. If helping others is truly what you desire, then doing that would be the right path for you. If messing around with others, killing them on a whim and eating them, like Sukuna likes to do, is your true desire, then doing that is the right path lol. Basically Sukunas philosophy is just, to reach your true potential you have to 100% give in to your carnal desires and instincts, don't try to fight your true nature with nonsense like logic or morals. Just go wild and do whatever you feel like doing at any given moment. Mahito understood that as well, when Jogo talked about the long term goal and how he would happily sacrifice himself if it means the age of curses will come, Mahito said they don't need reason or consistency, truly living according to their desires is what makes them true curses in Mahitos opinion. So Mahito is a very young curse who has shown incredible growth AND he shares Sukunas philosophy. Meaning he has the potential to reach people like Sukuna and Gojo and isn't holding himself back with unnecessary ideals or morals.
It was beautiful, shout out the animators!!!! Also sukuna did say jogo could theoretically reach gojo level if he was more selfish which is kind of funny/ironic for a curse😂

The way i reed Toji is that he actually cares a lot about Megumi, but he knew that due to his condition and position in the clan he knew Megumi would be better of without him and as a high member of the clan. Most times that he says “i dont care” u can tell that he is trying to convince himself of that so that it doesnt hurt so bad, im not saying he is a good guy or anything but he clearly loves his son and did fulfill his wifes wishes to protect him, seeing where Megumi is now its clear that he made the right decision by telling Gojo to take him, also ending himself once Megumi said Fushiguro instead of Zenin was basically the confirmation he needed to off himself, if he truly didnt care he would ve just killed him, the killing himself is the biggest hint to that imo, add the other stuff and i think it is very valid theory Ps: Crazy how they manage to make Toji even more menacing in the anime 😂 i didnt know that was possible
Seeing how strong toji is, toji vs sukuna would've been lit, but he left in fashion. In a very him-like fashion. We know how strong he is, and we know that he knows it too. His arrogance in his strength and speed is his charm, so facing sukuna would've ended up in him dying a probably not so honorable death. Toji killing himself to make sure he doesn't kill his son after feeling relieved/proud that megumi is a fushiguro is the most toji thing he could've done lol
Respect and thank all the animators! The fact that people say awful things about the animations hurts me and I can’t just imagine how the animators feel themselves having to be forced on rough schedules just at the end see some of these comments from people saying the animation is bad. I’d like to see people that comment about saying the animations is bad to be put into the animators position for just 1 day or even 1 hour they have to work and see how much yall stress out. An interesting reading of jogos death scene could even be that sakuna wasn’t actually there or said those things, it could be jogo projecting that he just wanted some acknowledgment in some way, cause I do find it weird that sakuna would even be in jogos afterlife
Toji's mind had been twisted. His basic urges told him simply to go after the strongest. But when he regained control for a moment and thought about his son, he was filled with joy to know that Gojo kept his promise. Megumi wasn't a Zenin. He hadn't been sold off. And thus, to both protect his son if he lost control again and relief that his last wish before his death had been fulfilled, Toji took his own life. What a phenomenal character. Now, onto the main event. Sukuna vs JoGOAT. A lot of people were surprised at how Jogo speed blitzed Maki, Nanami and Noabito. But he's powerful. Had he gone up against a 2 or 3 finger Sukuna, he would've wiped the floor with him. He's about as strong as 8 or 9 fingers of Sukuna's power. But unfortunately, he fought Sukuna at 15 fingers. Nearly double the amount of power in fingers than the estimate "Geto" told him he was capable of. But even then, even Sukuna admits that some of Jogo's attacks would've still done damage if they had hit. Had it been against a 10 or 11 finger Sukuna, he would've struggled but he might've actually been able to land a hit. It wasn't that Jogo was weak, he just had the misfortune of facing the strongest sorcerer and the king of curses at nearly full power. Stand proud, Jogo. You're strong. Being complimented by the King Of Curses doesn't come easy. Now, Hanami, Dagon and Jogo have all moved on. Until they one day are born again. They have entrusted everything to Mahito.

Hey normies, in case you didn't notice the doctor girl around the middle of the episode who was talking to the principal about starting to smoke again because it reminds her of her highschool days is actually Ieiri, Geto and Gojo's teammate from the Hidden Inventory arc. She also appeared in season 1 doing an autopsy on Yuji's body after his first "death" but she's hard to recognize since now in her adulthood she looks very different. She just seems completely done with life :))

A little clarification about Toji's being glad about Megumi's family name being Fushiguro... What it is supposed to convey is that Toji realized Megumi didn't grow up with the Zenin clan and that Gojo had fulfilled his last request. He sold him to the Zenin clan wishing he would be treated better than he himself was as he suspected Megumi would inherit a hereditary Zenin technique, which he did... the Ten Shadows technique being the most prized/most powerful technique of the Zenin clan (the same way the Limitless technique + Six Eyes are for the Gojo clan) and you'll get to see an actual first glimpse of why the technique is OP in the next episode. But deep down, Toji knew the Zenin were scumbags and that Megumi being happy with them was far from being a sure thing, hence his last words to Gojo.
This episode was FIRE! Literally 🔥 First of all, damn Toji is really HIM! Such as badass and it kinda sucks to see him go, but at least he stopped himself from harming Megumi any further. Though I wish he would have talked to him some more. Then boom Shigemo comes out of nowhere and slashes our boy. I knew the bastard was still alive. Kusakabe has got to be the most realistic and relatable character. It was cool to see him interact with Geto’s “Family” who I definitely wanna see more of as well. That battle between Sukuna and Jogo was nothing short of nuts! Not sure if this was the actual “Incident” but I think melting and blowing up the city would constitute as one. Kinda had me feel for Jogo at the end though, but it was his misfortune to go against such monsters. Though him being recognized as strong was cool and hearing how Mahito can get stronger was interesting. Sukuna just crashes anything he wants even if it’s a meeting in the afterlife 😆 He’s really at the top of the food chain and I really want to know more about his abilities and what he said to Jogo. Apparently he seems to know the bowl cut person, who’s finally been named. Don’t know what the hell that curse was at the end, but Shigemo can get bodied for all I care. I hope our Jujutsu High people are alright and I need the next episode to get here already!
Yeah... Toji would get absolutely bodied by Sukuna.
I imagine it would be similar to the final bout with Jogo, where he would match him using only hands to make it more interesting.

They made the wording a bit unclear in the anime. In the manga Sukuna said "..until you reached the heights of Gojo Satoru."
So yes, Sukuna was saying that Jogo had the potential to become as strong as Gojo if he had been more self centered and confident.
Remember when Gojo unlocked his true potential? He was crazy and high on power, he wasn't angry about Riko dying or anything.
He was just feeling himself and how good it felt to be alive in this world right now. And remember how Megumi unlocked his domain? By literally saying fuck it and imagining a future version of himself who can do it all.
Sukuna philosophy seems to be true, being self centered, only acting how you truly want to act, disregarding everything else, basically living purely based on desire, that's what makes you truly strong.
That doesn't mean you have to be a selfish asshole. If helping others is truly what you desire, then doing that would be the right path for you.
If messing around with others, killing them on a whim and eating them, like Sukuna likes to do, is your true desire, then doing that is the right path lol.
Basically Sukunas philosophy is just, to reach your true potential you have to 100% give in to your carnal desires and instincts, don't try to fight your true nature with nonsense like logic or morals. Just go wild and do whatever you feel like doing at any given moment.
Mahito understood that as well, when Jogo talked about the long term goal and how he would happily sacrifice himself if it means the age of curses will come, Mahito said they don't need reason or consistency, truly living according to their desires is what makes them true curses in Mahitos opinion.
So Mahito is a very young curse who has shown incredible growth AND he shares Sukunas philosophy.
Meaning he has the potential to reach people like Sukuna and Gojo and isn't holding himself back with unnecessary ideals or morals.

The way i reed Toji is that he actually cares a lot about Megumi, but he knew that due to his condition and position in the clan he knew Megumi would be better of without him and as a high member of the clan. Most times that he says “i dont care” u can tell that he is trying to convince himself of that so that it doesnt hurt so bad, im not saying he is a good guy or anything but he clearly loves his son and did fulfill his wifes wishes to protect him, seeing where Megumi is now its clear that he made the right decision by telling Gojo to take him, also ending himself once Megumi said Fushiguro instead of Zenin was basically the confirmation he needed to off himself, if he truly didnt care he would ve just killed him, the killing himself is the biggest hint to that imo, add the other stuff and i think it is very valid theory

Seeing how strong toji is, toji vs sukuna would've been lit, but he left in fashion. In a very him-like fashion. We know how strong he is, and we know that he knows it too. His arrogance in his strength and speed is his charm, so facing sukuna would've ended up in him dying a probably not so honorable death. Toji killing himself to make sure he doesn't kill his son after feeling relieved/proud that megumi is a fushiguro is the most toji thing he could've done lol

The fact that people say awful things about the animations hurts me and I can’t just imagine how the animators feel themselves having to be forced on rough schedules just at the end see some of these comments from people saying the animation is bad. I’d like to see people that comment about saying the animations is bad to be put into the animators position for just 1 day or even 1 hour they have to work and see how much yall stress out. An interesting reading of jogos death scene could even be that sakuna wasn’t actually there or said those things, it could be jogo projecting that he just wanted some acknowledgment in some way, cause I do find it weird that sakuna would even be in jogos afterlife

Toji's mind had been twisted. His basic urges told him simply to go after the strongest. But when he regained control for a moment and thought about his son, he was filled with joy to know that Gojo kept his promise. Megumi wasn't a Zenin. He hadn't been sold off. And thus, to both protect his son if he lost control again and relief that his last wish before his death had been fulfilled, Toji took his own life. What a phenomenal character.
Now, onto the main event. Sukuna vs JoGOAT. A lot of people were surprised at how Jogo speed blitzed Maki, Nanami and Noabito. But he's powerful. Had he gone up against a 2 or 3 finger Sukuna, he would've wiped the floor with him. He's about as strong as 8 or 9 fingers of Sukuna's power. But unfortunately, he fought Sukuna at 15 fingers. Nearly double the amount of power in fingers than the estimate "Geto" told him he was capable of. But even then, even Sukuna admits that some of Jogo's attacks would've still done damage if they had hit. Had it been against a 10 or 11 finger Sukuna, he would've struggled but he might've actually been able to land a hit. It wasn't that Jogo was weak, he just had the misfortune of facing the strongest sorcerer and the king of curses at nearly full power. Stand proud, Jogo. You're strong. Being complimented by the King Of Curses doesn't come easy. Now, Hanami, Dagon and Jogo have all moved on. Until they one day are born again. They have entrusted everything to Mahito.

Hey normies, in case you didn't notice the doctor girl around the middle of the episode who was talking to the principal about starting to smoke again because it reminds her of her highschool days is actually Ieiri, Geto and Gojo's teammate from the Hidden Inventory arc. She also appeared in season 1 doing an autopsy on Yuji's body after his first "death" but she's hard to recognize since now in her adulthood she looks very different. She just seems completely done with life :))
