For those of you confused about the Prison Realm and why Gojo was sealed instantly. Gojo had to be within 4 meters of it and stay there for 1 minute. The reason why "Geto" chose to reveal himself is that it would stop Gojo, and Geto mentions that the prison realm is going off Gojos time. So when he remembered all those moments with Geto it was basically reliving a couple years in that instant for Gojo.
for everyone getting confused about the timing:
The waiting needed for the prison realm wasn't when gojo was fighting volcano and the rest of the curses, the minute countdown happened when Gojo saw Geto and he got distracted while standing in close distance to the cube, sealing him.
sigh, i dont get why people gets confused about this.
this was supposed to be obvious, but the truly interesting thing is that the 1min condition doesn't have anything to do with "real time", but infact it has to do with the time perception of the thing the eyes of prision realm are glancing.
after seeing his loving friend who was supposed to be dead, probably Gojo experienced a lot more than just 1 minute in his own mind.

Rana really is the best reactor because she feels the emotions a show is trying to convey. She teared up when Geto shows up and Gojo had a flashback and it's great to see that a reactor fully gets how Gojo must've felt in that moment.

Interesting detail someone explained, Hanami was being crushed by Hanami via infinity. Like basically the part of Hanami that was in the infinity could only move so fast as the rest of him was being pushed into it. resulting in a pancake. Hanami was exerting pressure on itself, because it was acting like infinite distance. Hanami's body was catching up to itself faster than it could handle. The effect was, basically, a wall hitting him because of this.

Hope everyone is staying away from JJK manga spoilers because hoo boy. If you don't wanna be spoiled, you should probably stay away from Twitter. Be safe, not sorry. Moving on, Gojo obliterated Hanami. Even with a handicap of holding back due to the civilians around. It's a bit of a shame. Hanami got interrupted from doing her domain expansion by Gojo last time. So she died without us ever seeing what it was. Unfortunate.
I love Mahito hopping off the train after causing havoc and then being super happy. Even when facing Gojo, he seems to still be having fun. And considering how strong Gojo is, that just tells you how carefree Mahito is. Such a chaotic force.
Finally, the reveal of Geto. Gojo was so strong that he annihilated Hanami. So strong that he took down an insane amount of transfigured humans in only a few minutes. But when he saw the body of his best friend, his mind froze up. Everything that he had been gifted in life told him that the person standing in front of him was Geto. But the depths of his soul cried out and told him that wasn't true. We were given a mention of Yuta as well, and while Gojo thinks Yuta could one day rival him, the person standing in for Geto seems to disagree. We start off this battle with our strongest player removed from the board. How fun.

I remember being shocked that the Geto we knew wasnt him throughout s1 and s2 but if u rewatch the anime there are little clues that makes u wonder if this is Geto. Him never calling non sorcerers monkeys was strange also Getos goal was to eradicate curses yet hes working with them so yh its crazy great plot twist

The minute thing was that once the seal object had been opened they had to keep gojo within the sealing rage of the object.
the second i knew that geto's body was taken over by some creature, when he explained his technique that consists on replacing his brain by the body' s original one i first thought of the parasites anime it's a huuuge similarity . but i soo agree with surj that we gonna have a big battle without Gojo so it's a good forshadow for other sorcerers to showcase their potential too such as Todo the mysterious Mei-Mei Yuji and Fushigoru. i love the way jjk's storyline is heading.

If i remember correctly that's mechamaru's voice. Could be a failsafe where certain conditions have to be met for the message to be sent out.
Mechamaru planted those earpiece in Yuji before when he is alive, he planted it to Yuji because Mechamaru knows that they going to sealed Gojo, even Mechamaru is dead that earpiece have automatic transmission that if gojo is sealed it will automatically call yuji.

Chris seems to forget pretty often that using cursed energy to enhance the body is one of the most basic things that absolutly every sorcerer can do
coming from the Manga to finally seeing the anime this was great.
Remember when Gojo came down how people said "There's two guys there" Normal people can only see Gojo and Choso since Choso isn't a cursed spirit. The death womb paintings have actual bodies hence can be seen by normal people, this was shown in end of season 1 too if you watch the last few episodes. Also you'll see that choso was shown in season 1 as the elder brother of Eso and Kechizu aka the wombs that Itadori and Nobara beat. So Choso is the older brother of those two.

Choso was the season 1 final episode when the other cursed womb painting brothers were killed. He was angry that they had died.

Remember that Hanami tanked multiple hits from Playful Cloud and many consecutive Black Flashes from Yuji, lost 90% of its body to Hollow Purple, and regenerated from that pretty quickly. It took Gojo 2 hits to kill it.

So Gojo killed Geto at the end of Movie : 0 and left his body there without disposing it.
After that his body was taken over by this brain thing and has been like this since we saw him in S1.
Yk in S1, during the Junpei arc when Mahito lowered veil over that school in which Junpei was going to kill those bullies, "Geto" said "I should go back, no one from the Jujutsu tech should see me."
It's because Geto is dead and this was all supposed to be a grand surprise for Gojo up till this point to shock him a bit which let's him being captured and sealed.
“My Six Eyes are telling me you are Geto Suguru, but my soul knows otherwise!” Is the better translation in my opinion, and it’s one of my favorite panels, the other one will be in next week’s episode.
Gojo is a hindrance for the plot bcs he’s too OP, so even if this feels like a climax, it is only the beginning of Shibuya. Things are gonna get CRAZY.

Watching this after reading the last chapter of the manga is draining my entire soul…
It was explained earlier in the season, if i am not mistaken, that when a jujutsu sorcerer dies, they must dispose of their body so that they don't become a cursed spirit. Because when a jujutsu sorcerer dies with regrets or stuff like that, it triggers their soul or brain to reincarnate as a cursed spirit (similar to what happened to Rika in the 0 movie, although in that case it was not Rika's emotions but rather Yuta's that triggered the reincarnation). So to avoid such risks, it is a policy to dispose of a sorcerer's body properly.
Choso is the oldest brother out of the three incarnated cursed objects, we saw the other two brother die against Itadori and Nobara.
JJK Vol. 0 happens a year before the events of season 1. Gojo killed Geto after he lost to Yuta but didn’t dispose the body because that’s his best friend.
The timeline of JJK is:
Hidden Inventory (Gojo’s past in 2006)
JJK Vol. 0 (Yuta’s story in 2017)
Season 1 & Shibuya Incident (2018)
Gojo said what Choso really was in this episode. Choso also showed up at the end of season 1.
In the episodes when itadori and the girl forgot her name killed the brothers itadori talks about how he was sad becasue he killed something who was capable of crying for the death of its sibling. The blood guy was also in those episodes. He was with brain puppet and patchface curse when he felt that his brothers died
About the disposing of sorcerers thing. It's been stated that in order to kill a sorcerer and not let them become a curse after death is to finish them off with cursed energy
Just to clarify because most people seem to confuse it. (Which is definitely understandable) Two tenths of a second was how long Infinite Void was active. He killed the 1000 cursed spirits in just under 5 minutes.
(Not a manga reader) favorite rana's character get clap again. But this time, she did not cry like with kakashi 😅
Gojo's domain floods the mind with infinite informations that renders the victim unable to function or even catatonic. His domain is basically everything to ever exist flooding your mind and causing it to lag.
here's a play by play of gojo's gamble:
-Gojo activated the domain for 0.2 seconds (since anymore than that will cause all the civilians to become vegetables).
-everyone got flooded with a vast amount of informations that rendered them frozen.
-after 0.2 seconds he deactivated it.
-he didn't attack the curses because there was a chance that the physical damage could wake them up.
-after deactivating it, he speedblitzed the transfigured humans and killed all 1000 of them in the span of 299 seconds.
-after a domain expansion, the cursed technique gets burned up and one could not use it for a period of time.
-gojo notices "Geto" and has a flashback to the first arc of the season (3 years pass in a flash in his mind.)
- the prison realm works only if the target stays in its radius for 1 minute of the target's mental time. Since gojo had memories flash in his mind, the 1 minute passed.
-Gojo gets sealed.
Pseudo-Geto îs not a Curse.
I think, the reason gojo didn't have shoko dispose geto's body is the same reason why toji didn't kill geto in hidden inventory arc. That is, with the vast amount of curses that geto has absorbed, nobody knew what will happen to those curses if his body is destroyed.
He probably thought the worst case scenario where all those curses are released and wreak absolute havoc in the real world.
I'm pretty sure in the last episode of JJk season 1, we get to see Choso commenting about the death of his two brothers.
Gojo seeing "Geto" and it ends up getting him sealed is so heartbreaking man. They really cared for each other 😭 I just want them to be happy but it's not gonna happen and that makes me even more sad 😥

For those confused about the various times mentioned:
20 minuts was how long Jogo, Hanami, and Choso needed to keep fighting Gojo.
1 minute was how long Gojo had to be within range (4 meters) of the Prison Realm.
0.2 seconds was how long Gojo activated Infinite Void.
299 seconds was how long it took Gojo to kill all the transfigured humans while everyone was unconscious as an after effect of his Domain.
Remember the 2 Brothers that close out the last Season? Chozo is the third brother, this isn't a spoiler they showed him in the last season it's a reminder

The Death Painting Wombs were the children of Noritoshi Kamo, who was a really powerful and cruel sorcerer. He's mentioned in the first season, and I think they even portray a picture of him. Also, if you search for images of Noritoshi Kamo you will find something really peculiar of his appearance that relates to a character of this season
I just remembered that there are actually 2 Noritoshi Kamo, but if you search for images just look for the guy with the moustache
The game Geto and co. were playing is mahjong and the scenes of it sprinkled in here was actually interesting!
Geto seemed to pull his winning tile, so he won on Tsumo with a closed hand, which is already a fair amount of points. However, the fact he seemingly won on his fourth draw means his hand was probably already in tenpai, or waiting on one tile for a win. It's crazier because his hand contains double yakuhan, the full dragon set and full winds set, plus terminals of all suits. Looking it up, this seems like a Kokushi Musou 13-way wait hand. It's a hand that you have to go into with the goal of getting, rather than going with the flow of whichever tiles you pick up or what triples/doubles you start forming. The points from this are pretty huge and the possibility of acheiving it, while not the most difficult, is still pretty challenging as the hand has to stay closed (you can't steal other tiles you need from players' discard pile). Since he's the dealer (East) then he gets over 45,000 points which is MASSIVE.
It's also interesting that his hand is considered one of the "three big families of yakuman", since there are three big clans in JJK lmao.
Another fun bit was how Jogo, Hanami, and Mahito all drew dragon/fundamental tiles before discarding them. Some think these tiles are based around Chinese philosophy of the heavens, earth, and man. So here, Jogo has the heaven tile, Mahito the man tile, and Hanami the earth tile.
Mahjong's fun but it's sorta like poker where you have to memorize different hands to know what cards/tiles you want and which you discard. Still learning them lol, but there's a lot of apps out there if you guys wanna practice!

They talked about the triplet cursed guys 25:20, Choso (I had no idea that was his name, until y'all said it) is on some revenge mission. My prediction is h'ell probably fight Nobara, because (if I had to guess) Yuji and Mahito are gonna fight.

That is the thing with OP characters like Gojo right things cant progress simply by him existing because when a new antagonist shows up the question is never "How can Itadori/Megumi/Nobara beat the villains?" the question is always "Can the villains beat Gojo?"
