Update from 2 weeks after Jonathan Bailey was officially announced as playing Fiyero in the Wicked movie: Ryan McCartan is still listed as playing Fiyero by Google, with his picture still right next to Ariana Grande.

My friend texted me at 8 am a couple days ago and said Lizzy Ryan MccCartan is playing Fiyero in the Wicked Movie! I was so excited then I looked it up on instagram then I told her no I wish. She said it’s on google and I had to convince her that’s the broadway cast not the movie.

i just saw wicked on Broadway (my first Broadway show!) and it was SO good... Ryan's picture is in my souvenir playbill as Fiyero :)
Would be interesting to know how far they've gotten with picking out the other characters (Fiyero, Nessa etc.) We've heard all about people auditioning for Elphaba on social media (Jessie J, Taylor Louderman etc.) but there doesn't seem to be much / ANY commotion when it comes to the other roles. Maybe they haven't even started the auditioning process yet😂keep ur hopes up Ryan

Honestly I recently saw Wicked on Broadway and I was sitting far back and couldn’t see the actors faces and I straight up thought it was you for half of the show and was freaking out until intermission I read the play bill and realized it wasn’t.The whole experience was confusing because I knew in my head it wasn’t you but I still felt like it was lol

I feel like you’d be a great Fiyero, Norbert would be good as Doctor Dilamond or the Wizard and maybe Christopher Fitzgerald play Doctor Dillamond or The Wizard or just a munchkin and Kristin Chinoweth play Madame Morrible, I think she’s said once that she would love to play her in the movie. I also think they should have Idina have some kind of part in it even a background character as well as others who have been in the musical over the years. I think that would be a really neat thing for them to do is cast as much Wicked alumni as possible as extras and such. That would be like a fun Easter egg so to speak.

i knew it was clickbait but i’m a sucker for your channel lmao so i clicked anyway😭
I first heard they were gonna make a movie of "Wicked" in 2019, so I got busy and did all my research to get a recap on the story. And then "CATS" came out, and I felt betrayed. And then the whole pandemic happened and there has been some confusion over when the heck it's officially ever gonna be a thing. I came to a point where I said, "I'll believe it when I see it." Earlier this year, I was excited when they announced who was going to play Glinda and Elphaba, but they still leave us open-ended on all the other things about the movie.
While I would love to see Ryan as fiyero, I’m really wishing for Jordan fisher to be cast 🙏🏼
