You need to check your math on the last 4 you bought for $99.80. That is not $24.70 but $24.95 each. Question, buyers have to pay E Bay 12% on coin sales so why would someone sell below spot? They would be getting under $22.00 per coin which seems foolish to sell them at that price. I'm not saying they didn't but seems like they need a math lesson also.

The good thing about 1921 Morgans is that you can get them cheap, and they almost always contain their full silver weight, since they didn't get circulated very much at all. Most people just kept them when they got them, and passed them down.
Yeah the local shows here are now selling them for $32-34. I was finding them for $25-$26 locally a short while back. I see we use the same shop. I won't let the secret out.

That’s a great deal on cull Morgan’s! I’m a collector stacker so that’s the best of both worlds in my opinion, cause I get bored stacking generic rounds. So I’ve actually been buying cull Morgan and peace dollars, my LCS sells them for $28 in better shape then the Morgan’s you just picked up, for 25 and under that’s awesome! Keep on stacking those!👊🏻

Look at the silver coin melt chart, then figure the price per gram. Since a couple of them are slicks, they might be up to a gram light. Current price for a silver dollar at melt is 22.29, which puts the value per gram at about 81 cents. There is always a premium on silver coins.

Those two 1921 "culls" are not culls at all. They would rate at least AU-50, i.e., "About Uncirculated." They aren't worth much to collectors, because they are so numerous, even in that condition, but they aren't culls, either. Far from it.
You're buying .77 oz silver for $24.50, not considering wear loss. I don't think that's a better deal than just buying regular 1 oz rounds for $30.50, which isn't even looking hard pricing on .999 rounds. .777 * 30.50 = $23.69. Golden State Mint selling 1 oz rounds for $29.99, just regular buffalo rounds. I have plenty of silver dollars, and they're OK, I'd rather have .999 anything. You're paying $37.14 per oz with those SDs, hell, you can buy eagles or maples for under $35. 1/.77 = 1.298 * spot @ 28.60. .999 rounds are a much better deal.

Of course, a nice condition coin will never sink below its melt value, but I don't buy the idea that you take a $50 silver dollar and add $100 to its listed value because of additional melt value. Silver dollars, I will admit, have a bit of cachet about them. But an ordinary Washington quarter has to be in jaw dropping condition to be worth more than melt.

Why would anyone sell silver dollars under melt? I think I might know why. Six Morgans weighing a total of 155.7 grams averages out to 25.95 grams per coin. That's too light. I'll bet at least one of those Morgans is fake. 🤔🤐

Regardless, the fact that we have SIX (6) Morgans here AVERAGING .78 less than optimal ~ well, something's not right with that. I could see one or two ~ maybe three of them being off, but something is amiss when six of them AVERAGE under 26 grams. Find the fake one ~ or two.
