Get the Ram Rock Solid Steering upgrade for where the steering shaft pops thru the fire wall. That oem bushing or whatever wears out and causes a lot of your steering wheel slip. Did it myself.
Turbo is fine, they have a little play until you build oil pressure. As long as you don’t have crazy side to side play to where your making impeller impact with the housing and no in and out play your fine.
You don’t want to see in and out play. Side to side is fine like mentioned.
Might be getting an 02 2500 cummins soon. Love the look of the 2nd gens, my favourite ram body style.
Killer looking ‘02. You’re doing everything right. A Scheid Diesel hot rod (“Lightning”) VP-44 with a hot unlock would be great upgrade. Nice 👍
I'm liking this video I know it's an older video and I think you may have sold the truck but I've had my truck for 2 almost 3 years I'm looking forward to upgrading the suspension wheels and tires and the interior. and my Governor solenoid needs to be replaced

My 06 runs and drives ok with 35 s . I have the complete Thuren set up . 3:73 gears by the way .

That's the (edit: same brand) transmission cooler I have on my 5.2 gas 1500. (more edit: Mine has a fan and isn't quite that big.) It's pretty good. I wish I had known about this Carli stuff when We did my suspension. Maybe in a few years now that the 'work' part of this truck's life is over.

Could you do me a HUGE favor and measure from the center of front wheel to the bottom of the fender? Trying to see if my current ride height is compatible with the Carli/Thuren stuff.

what gears do you have and how does it tow/haul/drive/feel/power loss with the 35" tires? Thanks in advance
Just the factory 3.55 gears, honestly at low speeds It was kind of sluggish. I never really towed with the 35s.. but I did end up going back down to 33s. I will say the 35s looked awesome, but without re-gearing to maybe a 3.73 and upgrading to a better steering system, I wouldn’t go over 33s with stock steering or stock gears with the automatic. On the other hand I have another truck with a 5-speed manual Cummins, that has 33’s on it and honestly with the transmission gearing, it would probably do better with 35s on it. It also has a 3.55 rear end.

Carli’s definitely the best! And not that I know of.

Love the build, these trucks ride so much better with nice components. I just bought the carli leaf springs but have different front coils. Anyway you can measure from the center of the hub and wheel opening on the bedside? Im curious how much height you actually get from these springs.
I don’t think mine would be accurate.. my bed is clearly tweaked from when it was in an accident. I measured it once like that and got 3 different measurements.. the truck is pretty much slanted from the driver rear to the passenger front.

looks amazing. great taste. I absolutely hate when people ruin these retro trucks by adding massive chrome 20+ inch wheels with -4billion offset and a skinny rubber band mud tire.
Did you put in a FASS I am not a paid spokesman but I can tell you it’s worth every dollar invested remove the stock and replace it with a titanium signature you’ll thank me later on
