The first Lego Island game was a 'real' head trip. Very very short, in terms of like, 'length', but weirdly deep in an experimental 'wander about poke things' sense. Also iconic for being the first ever Lego-brand videogame.
My nostalgia for Lego Island 2 specifically is immeasurable, I not only played the PC version, but the GBA version too, so I have a double dose of nostalgia for it.
I am so glad this is on YT now, it's hilarious to watch as I'm doing the dailies in ESO. Also, the pizza bit at the end just reminds me of Zoombinis, which omg, Josh needs to add to his giant list of Classic Old Games to stream. That game is a trip and a half.
@@GlizzyTrefoil Thank you so much for Introducing me to the fact that Manic Miners exists. I finally got a chance to try it out, and it is fantastic. It's almost exactly what I remember Rock Raiders being like, which is probably significantly better than is actually was. The standard campaign is a lot easier than I remember though. Probably mostly because I'm over 20 years older now. But I'm sure that Baz's mod and the remastered campaign will challenge me more, so I'm looking forward to trying those out soon.
Also, if you press the SELECT button during gameplay, you can switch whatever object is in front of you. And yes that includes the characters! What a weird lil function to have lol. But I guess it makes sense in a lego game.
If Josh didn't know where to go, he should do what we had to do when this game came out. Hook up the dial up internet, wait and hour to get on, and then wait another hour for gamefaqs to load.
At this point i want to see lego island PC on this channel because i swear i remember graphics and voice acting being better. also Deponia since Rufus is such a meme here.
I searched for Elden Ring torrent shortly after it came out. It actually showed a torrent I could download and the game worked. Unfortunately it had the same issues as the legal version, so after I played a bit I paused. Then the patch got released and there was a torrent for that too, so naturally I got that and on startup the game said it can't load the savegame unless I activate steam cloud saving or smth like that. So I wanted to start a new game. I told a buddy about this and he straight up bought me the game.
Making fun of / joking about people with autism for being different isn't funny and usually just makes us think back to our own past negative experiences being made fun of for being different. Please do better. Thanks. :)

One of my first games ever and I still love every second of it.
You don't even know how much I played this game. I loved it so much, thank you for playing it!!

Somewhere, in the deepest reaches of my mind, a memory was sparked by this game. Omg.

The people calling this the Dark Souls of LEGO games have not played Rock Raiders.
Rock Raiders is the Deep Rock Galactic of Lego games. Also Manic Miners is the free reboot of RR.

Final bricks are obviously in the oven.
I never had the game but it's cool to see the lego sets I used in RL in this game, like the Egypt set.

i need more of these videos, man
2 Did have a PC version, I had it and the Brickster keychain but I don't think they sell it anymore.
Yeh and the pc version is sliiighty different it seems. Like the voice lines when the bricks get put in the house
Actually upon watching more the pc had quite a lot of improvements
I played this game so much times as a kid. Awesome memories. :D
The level of nostalgia triggered by even just the NOISES in this game kill me. My whole childhood rushed back to me here.
"All I need to do is find a friggin' build sheet." Josh I think the word you were looking for was blueprint. :P
I used to play this. And the first one as well. It was sooooo gooood!
I got nostalgic for this game so I installed the PC version on my SSD and played it.
The load times were still extremely long.
I'm bricked up for my Lego Island Boys!
Josh, I just wanted you to know, that went out and bought the actual PS1 game because of your stream lol. This game looks hella fun!

If there’s a clip of this whole bit I would be happy forever. 💗
If you want some skating, there is a skating game starring Goofy.
Josh should play sims 3 or sims 2... the entertainment potential...

I have seen this so much. Ty for upload
Anyone know if there's a Simpsons Hit and Run vod hanging around anywhere?
Dont worry man, if the policeman does come and take you, we will bring you that pizza
5:58 "well call the guy dani, because that was his name"
my best.
I'd wish the archive channels get updated more regurlary.
The PC version of this game was the first game I ever returned to a shop, because I hated it so much.
I could never get past the jousting bit when I was a kid because you needed an analog stick and my ps1 controller didn't have one.
MY CHILDHOOD 🥹
oh man. I had this on PC way back when and i dont remember it looking like this...I guess thats just the PS1 limitations.
Ogel is also the Alpha Team villain
Do not talk to me about a "sigma grindset" without mentioning Pepper's name, do you understand me?
