Funny story: I was scrolling my YT feed and stopped on this video. I had not turned on the sound yet or clicked to view it. I saw “dog drinking in background” and was like, how can I hear that right now? It was my dog drinking at that exact moment. 😂 Well, it was funny to me anyway! 🤣
I have used Misfit Markets for quite some time but I only buy produce 99% of the time. I’ve been happy most of the time. If I receive a product that isn’t in good shape, they have always refunded the cost of that product. The produce is organic and ALWAYS tastes wonderful!! ☺️ Ps…I live in rural central Indiana and it does seem to take an extra day to get my Misfits box. I do not live close to any specialty stores. I do have a Kroger and an Aldi 25 min away from me, so it’s a treat to get mail ordered food!!
Thank you for this video! I only trust unsponsored video reviews anymore. It took me a while to find one. I have been considering using misfits and needed an honest review. Thanks so much...think I will go ahead and give it a try!!
Obviously it depends on where you live but $150 a week for that little of food wouldn't cut it for us. We try to average 100-150 a week for a family of 6 but we also have Costco and such. We get 6 Bell peppers for 5.99 instead of 3 ect. Great video though!
Great video Jen! Very informative and good to know that these companies that ship to our home can save us some money. Also the convenience of not having to spend time and gas money money going to and from the grocery store
I enjoyed seeing the variety of higher end specialty food items. Giving me some good ideas! Would love to see how you meal plan and cook with those items.
The cold brew concentrate shocked me!! That seemed very high in price. I live in Miami so it may sound biased, but because God blessed us with the opening of and Aldi, I get the same concentrate between $3.89-$5.00!! But this video is great. I just got misfits market and my first order should be arriving today. Using it to stock up the freezer. I’m excited!! God bless and much love to you and your family! Great video
I was a MM customer some years ago. It was strictly produce and you could only specify small or large box. The produce could not be customized. You got whatever they had that week. I would sometimes receive food that was new to me and things I did not like and needed to pass on. Towards the end, they started bringing in some different things like chocolate and letting you make choices; such as pick 2 greens: kale, spinach, romaine, etc. When we had supply chain issues, my boxes were delayed and I started receiving bad food. It looks like I will have to visit their site and maybe re-activate. Thank you for sharing!
A lot of this depends on the area you are in too. I get peppers for $.98 each. Also, in this day and age, I don't buy prepared foods like the chicken products. Yes, you can save money on some things, but these products just aren't in the budget. If you can afford it, absolutely order from them.
@@littlemissbekah9722 Yep, they are real budget busters. Convenience has it's place, but as inflation continues, instead of I don't have time to cook from scratch it will become I have to make time to cook from scratch. That may mean cutting back on kids activities, using crock pots more, meal prepping on days off instead of family activities, relying on a partner more for after school activities.. Seeing how your time is used and making some hard decisions. Saving $2 from store to store is not a savings if the item is overpriced everywhere.
I love Misfits Market! I actually just got the chicken for the first time and am happy to hear it's good. My favorites are the prepares meals for busy weeknights. I live in Central Illinois and have good store choices but love not having to go to the store on the weekend. I also love the cheese and baked goods. We've found lots of new foods we like through this service
If you enjoy coffee concentrates, i HIGHLY recommend Javy!!! They have tons of new flavors out! I've used them for probably close to 3 years now. Makes great coffee both hot and cold!
I have tried Misfits Market, a couple times, and it was fine. However, I’m one of those weird people who likes to see what I’m buying. I live in a very rural area in upstate NY and the closest grocery store, of decent size, is about 40 minutes away. So I am used to going a distance to get my groceries. I still prefer it to letting someone else pick out my food, I know I sound snobby or spoiled😉. I do have to say, I’m retired, which gives me more time. I did work about an hour away, for 33 years, and those same grocery stores, that I travel to now, were on my way home. I do have to say, however, I do,like ordering certain items from Thrive Market, they have items that I don’t see other places. Thanks Jen, for doing the research.
Hi! I live in a small town in TN. We don't have Uber, UberEats, Doordash, or anything like that. Our closest Walmart is 20 minutes away and doesn't deliver here. Our closest Sam's, Aldi, Target, Food City, Whole Foods, Costco, are anywhere from 35 to minutes to almost an hour away. Imperfect Foods isn't available in this area. I've ordered from Misfits Market 3 times. I really like the variety and the specialty items, but there has been some type of produce in the process of going bad every single time. One time they were out of something and swapped it with something else unrelated. The last time, they randomly included like 5 huge things of fresh green beans. Like, thanks? But good lord. So, I took a break. Maybe I'll try again. They do have some really great figs and this one type of trail mix I can't remember the name of it, but it was so good.
Wow. Im hoping Misfits non prepared foods are better priced. We live in a rural area and organics are ridiculous. These MFM prices are scary. Thankfully I can cook really well from scratch. I dont really eat pre made pre seasoned foods. Too expensive.
We first found the Uglies potato chips at a local Mennonite market. They are $4.99 I think. We love them but live about 30 minutes from that store. Imagine my delite when I found them at Aldi for $2.49. So check there if you like them. At my Aldi they only have the BBQ and salt and vinegar but those are our favorite two.
I live in middle of nowhere and due to health had to stop driving ,im not near any stores , so im interested in how this works, our nearest any store is around forty five minutes away ,if i still drove lol
Your food will be shipped to you with an ice pack in place so your produce stays cold. The produce is rarely wrapped like in a conventional grocery store!! I still am surprised when I open the box to find it this way! But, if it’s not damaged in shipping, it’s really good! It may not look perfect ( hence, “misfit”) but has always been very fresh and very flavorful for me!
Misfit market if for people trying to eat high quality food for cheaper. The problem is not everyone buy these expensive products.not everyone wants the things in the box.

Did you end up using it and is it worth it ?
I use misfits market. And am very happy with them. Between them and butcher box I rarely go to the grocery store.
Whole Foods aka Whole Paycheck is always more expensive than anywhere. Everything you got from Misfit Market looks good and they have great prices.
Whole pay check yes !!! My jaw drops when ppl actually have full carts !! My thoughts they must be rich 🤣
I went to WF to buy a duck. $10 more and without glaze sauce. My 1st and last time going there.
Good video. Would be better if you compared the expiration dates on the products. Are MM foods expired or expiring in a few days? or a week?

This was a good video, thanks! I've often thought of trying one of these online stores.....mainly Thrive market.
Wowzers! Now, what cha gonna cook up using all those goodies?! I can't wait to see!!!❤

This was exceptionally interesting, thank you so much for sharing, Jen!!😘❤️
I definitely understand about not having a store nearby. This has really helped, I have been thinking of trying mail order shopping.

Same. Sure Misfits Market is cheaper on the items they carry but I'm not buying those types of ingredients because they are expensive.

I have not tried any of those grocery stores, I might try it.
Squirrel! Is that a new light fixture over your island? I never noticed it before, love it! 💜
I thought you were about to say that squirrel was the new beef. I've got to stop eating so late. 😮
Not to mention you’d have to go to multiple places to get all those groceries from all those different places!

My village has a population of 270, but we do have a Family Dollar😄
I was fixing to go to bed, but not yet. Jen before bed, yes please!!
Great video , thanks! Does that final comparison include the shipping cost? I haven't tried them, YEAS ago when I looked it wasn't cheaper.
Yes it does, the shipping is around $8 I think!

I literally can't Jen
Just love all ur cute fashionable earrings u wear ...Im into earrings too 👍
Just curious what your plan of action is with the mini watermelon. It's that time of year, a whole melon for $4.69 at Aldi etc.
I'm referring to a regular size melon.
How about pricing vs a normal store... like jewel, publix, safeway...?
At least you didn't have to carrying all those bags in the house or deal with the crowds and the lines of the stores

Luckily I'm a misfit that likes everything. Bok Choi doesn't last long around me.
Even Aldi?
No insta cart here no deliveries ,
Oh, I thought the delivery was through UPS or Fedex. I live in the middle of nowhere so, no instacart either.

Why are you comparing Whole Foods Market? That is where people who do not mind spending boat loads of money!
This is completely irrelevant to me given I live in Australia but I bloody love a good grocery haul with prices 🩷
Thank you for this video!
