In the original poem, "the land of the free" referred to the free white man, not the enslaved black man... read the full poem to understand fully..."Their blood has washed out, their foul footsteps’ pollution.

i get what you are saying, but the performance was great. i’ve seen you comment on almost everyone’s post with this same comment above. just let people enjoy the talent that the boy possesses. i know the history but that’s not what this video is about.
