Thank you for your blues lesson......you are very good at teaching the basic blues licks....especially for us "Oldies" that are just beginning to learn these beautiful sounds. You also add a little bit of humor that makes learning so enjoyable. Thanks again....Mike S.
Hey Micheal, thanks for your feedback and your donation. :-) I am glad I could help - I will add more easy going blues licks in the near future... and yes its more enjoyable to learn with a smile. :-)
Ya never fail to impress HP. Amazing after playing this backing track for days on end I thought I'd about covered all the ground there was and there ya go showing us even more. You're the man Brutha.
+Ernie R Hey Ernie, thanks for your Feedback. Yes there are still many spots to explore on the guitar. I am working hard to make them visible for everybody here on my channel. :-)
Love your style and approach to teaching and playing. Also love the little stories dropping in every now and again :) Thanks man, I've been playing finger style acoustic for years, but you've taught me how to "be the blues man" :)
You prolly dont care but if you guys are bored like me atm you can watch all of the new movies and series on instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my gf during the lockdown =)
Kudo's to HP for actually SHOW'ing us how to use Licks... thank u kind sir! this video helped immensely! i mean, lots of vids' show us licks... but i never kno how to USE them? finally someone explains how the same lick works as a triplet in a shuffle-beat or in a straight beat. it's like a little-door opened in my lil'head and i got to see how licks work. i'am sooooo happy :) thanks agin to HP for sharing this.
I have a question HP. If we can use the minor Pentatonic for Blues and Rock, what makes the licks different ? Is it the chords or the speed of the notes played ?
Yes you can use it in both genres. The difference is the way you play it and of course the sound and the vibrato - not nessessary the speed but in many cases that too.
Hi, I greatly appreciate and enjoy your lessons but you really need to do a better job of identifying what notes you are playing. The angle of your camera view hides the fretted notes behind your fingers. Sometimes it's not even clear which strings you are fretting. Probably, more advanced viewers can figure out very quickly which notes are being played, but if your target audience is "Basic" players then I respectfully suggest that you slow down and positively show which fret and which string is being played in each of the licks. Again, thank you very much for your passion and for your uploads.
Hi Orebro, thanks for your extended feedback. This is an older video - I already do slower and clearer on basic things. But I take your suggestion to improve it more. :-)
