    I need to fly one of these ASAP! I use the TEA line on my Driftair full time, it's very nice. Also, the dedicated tip steer is a great feature and the positioning of the toggles just like the NucXX is great.

    Great video, Eugene. You say it's a major improvement on the Nuc xx. Is it only in ground roll? That's the only thing you really elaborated on. Is the Nuc xx more spicy and less stable?

    • @therealeugenecussons
      @therealeugenecussons  2 роки тому

      Wow where to start. I think with the technology having time settle, ALL factors are improved. You have improved lift, so quicker off the ground. Improved landing, no ground roll. Improved speed, marginally. Improved handling. With the TST toggles, you definitely have a better system to fly XC. The points mentioned above are big enough to justify a complete redesign which in my book it is

    Thank you for the review. I flew a Solo for 300hrs and loved it (I still have it). I then purchased a Sirocco 3 about a year ago. I like it for its ease of takeoff, but I am running into durability issues. I fly in southern California where the LZs have alot of dirt, sand, brush (no grass at all). I find I am getting alot of small cuts in the wing, abrasion marks on the ribs, etc. I never saw this on my Dudek. I am considering making the N4 my next glider. I know its in the same 'class' as the Sirocco 3. Have you ever flown the S3? If so, how does it compare? I don't think I'm interested in the Drift Air, I'm more into long flights, XC, sightseeing. I am also considering the H3, but have a feeling I would enjoy the N4 more for its agility. I do like to sometimes get down low and carve it up a bit.

    • @therealeugenecussons
      @therealeugenecussons  2 роки тому

      Hi. Yes I know the Sirocco 3 very well. Its made of a lighter material which is why you have issues. The lighter material is for the easy takeoff. I would say the Nuc4 will be a major upgrade in safety as its a full reflex vs the S3 being a semi reflex, its a lot faster in trim speed than the S3, equally easy for takeoff but due to different reason. You also have integrated tip steering to control at full speeds which is not possible on S3. We have a dealer in Cali if you want to source a N4 as well if you find issues. Our dealer in LA is a world champion pilot for team USA and could help you a lot

      Hello Eugene,
      I also have to decide between the S3, N4 or Piper.
      As soon as my engine arrives I will test fly all 3.
      The S3 is according to Ozone homepage a full reflex profile or is that not true.
      Can you also say something about the Piper in comparison?
      Best regards

    Hi Eugene, Ive been studying N4 and H3 for a while. I take a bit of respect from H3 but in your other H3 review you said they are both on similar level and suitable to step up straight from lower class reflex. I am now moving from A class reflex and initialy was considering N4 but now more towards H3. Whats your suggestion in that? Other question with my all up 130kgs is it right way of thinking N4 in 22 or H3 20? All great reviews you have! Cheers

    • @therealeugenecussons
      @therealeugenecussons  2 роки тому

      Hey well Nuc is always the best step up from your beginner glider. For racing or faster top cruising speeds I would say H3 but really the Nuc will fit almost any guy’s needs since it is XC ready. Go Nuc!

      @@therealeugenecussons Thanks for opinion. One more thing to ask. If you compare power off glide I guess H3 beats N4? From reviews looks like takeoffs and landings are more dynamic but smoother from H3?

    every paramotor pilot is an individual. and have different skill levels. think as if you're buying a car. and if...if? you can manage to get a demo ... more the better take the wing out test it... and see what a pilot is looking for " LIVE AND LEARN OR LEARN AND LIVE".

    • @therealeugenecussons
      @therealeugenecussons  4 місяці тому

      Tony that isn’t true and some celebrity pilots have portrayed this idea that some guys are better than others and therefore they can skip the development process. The truth is, if you skip any progression process in aviation, whether it be fixed wing or paramotors, you roll the dice. The comment is on the Nucleon video and I would say that the Nucleon isn’t that serious of a step up in progression but if someone was to try learn on it then the instructor would need to keep a very close eye on the student and ensure a safe experience. The recommendations made by the factory is law in some countries and for good reason. We are seeing celebrity pilot idiots promote the disregard of manufacturing recommendations because they believe themselves to be something above the rest of humanity. I think we are all subject to training and progression and I have seen enough accidents to convince me of this conviction

    Hi Eugene thanks for a really great and useful review, I have a couple of questions if ok?? What size were you flying and what all up weight are you? I am going to be a maximum of 130kg all up on a monoplane top 80 LR 1400 prop so torn between the 22m and 24m?? any advice would be much appreciated, thanks so much :)

      Tx bud. I was flying the 22 and actually that be your size as well as its a 140kg max weight. I think you should have enough power trims closed take off at lower altitudes. If you have a field above 4000ft then beter take the 24 for beter lift considering the engine is a bit small

    How would you compare the Hadron 3 to the nucleon 4?

    • @therealeugenecussons
      @therealeugenecussons  Рік тому +1

      Hadron is slightly smaller and thus more efficient. H3 is better suited for XC with higher trim speed. Nucleon is standard ready for XC with TCT toggles but should be seen as a sporty compromise

    I'm itching to pull the trigger on the Nucleon4 I have 200 + hours all on a spyder and then on a Spyder3 with 2D tied inn, I just want to go a bit faster and with as much fuel economy as possible for cross country and low style flying anyone reading this that has gone from a Spyder3 to a Nucleon4 or Hadron3 I would love to hear your 2 cents please!

    • @therealeugenecussons
      @therealeugenecussons  Рік тому

      Hey bud. I think what you want is the H3 but remember to order the TST toggles with your wing. Standard the N4 is beter because it comes with that and not the H3 but with some convincing the H3 can have it on order. Keep in mind both are much faster than Spyders but the H3 is even faster than N4. The N4 has a lower aspect ratio so its a bit more playful. Its very stable but will be less stable in rough XC air compared to H3

    • @therealeugenecussons

      @@nitro200flyer3 it would be perfect because its a 70/30 wing so you can fly and learn both models without a speedbar and integrate it after a few hours. Just remember to learn about acceleration at higher altitude and not close to the ground
