My mother in law needs this, cause she can’t crank the hose reel anymore
@@TheGreatRandom I just bought one for my parents🤣
Drone shot of a drone, that's a nice flex.
I was going to comment on the drone shot of the drone. Pretty cool stuff.
No offense meant but I still miss Arlo.🥺 ❤ It’s nice that he still stops by occasionally. This site is starting to look like a house, it’s amazing how framing shows progress in the building process. 👍
We miss you Arlo
yeah, I miss him, but he's retired, you should feel happy for him.
Yes I miss Arlo as well 🥲👍
I think we all miss Arlo! Great comment.
Me need him ❤ he was OUR guy ❤️
This comment is for Jaime! A few episodes back he talked about how to install the holes in a French drain. Good "Let Jaime Talk" segment. There is a channel called Practical Engineering. One of the newer episodes is on French drains. He talks about the hole placement and I thought it was cool to already have heard that convo on this channel. Love your content! Thank you guys for all you do.
I saw this and immediately thought I should share it here but never followed through. Great video and channel.
I’ll be sure to share with Jaime.
I am enjoying watching the building of the modern home., I’m half way home bound. I watch your videos all day. Keep them coming.
Arlos explanation is epic. Hope he and his family are doing great. Miss you Arlo.
The screws that cracked the short trusses created the hump. Bummer, but not critical. Really impressed by the 'Stud Pack' fellas!
Yep, I think you’re right
i’m a framer we always put a laser mark our corners and put a chaulk line and cut all studs to make sure our basement is level and no problems with trusses but everyone works differently shout out to yall from GA 👍 nice work
What a freaking crazy build - So awesome to see it coming together after those first 8 weeks
"It stays there forever.... that's what permanent means." got a wheeze out of me lol
Great collab with PerkinsBuilderBrothers and StudPack or PerkPack/Studkins! You all worked so well together and had fun while doing it!
And So happy to hear hero Arlo referenced numerous times!
The homeowner, like me, is gonna appreciate all your attention to detail.
Love you guys ~
Need a job site visit from you, you were part of the team on their last home!
You guys have no idea how much I look forward to your videos twice a week, just wish I could come on site and spend a day with you guys
I have to say, I’ve never seen guys use a planer as much as the Perkins Bros, but I admire their dedication to making things as close to perfect as possible.
For the time being i am on sick leave. Days get long. Your videos are awesome!!! It keeps me from "bouncing off the walls" as you say it in the US. The music are "feel-good" and light, carefree. Your filming is professional. Keen up the good work, i'm lovin' it :)
Sorry to see Studpack leave 😢..They did a terrific job of helping move the build along!! Thanks again guys, KUTGW PBB & have a wonderful rest of your day!!
Thanks , I found you guys through stud pack ✌🏽✌🏼✌🏻👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
If you cut out a little of the foam on one of the zip sheathing corners you can butt foam to foam so there is no break to prevent thermal bridging at the corner. you also dont need to fill in the corner...
Unbelievable just how fast the time flies while watching these videos!! Great job, glad to see you fix what needed fixed instead of ignoring it! If I were having you fellas build me a home, I'd be so relaxed and confident in your work!
Wow, those stud pack boys really gave you guys a major boost on getting all that framing done, especially those trusses. Man that's gold. Well done everyone!
StudPack was awesome to watch!! Definitely going to subscribe to their channel
Amazing how you’re all able to work together. The mark of a truly great bunch of guys.
I love how your Teams are working together on this! Thanks Perkins Brothers and Stud Pack!
Have enjoyed watching the last 3 projects. This one looks like a massive project.
You guys are awesome. It was pretty cool that you had those guys from Texas to help out
I love watching two shows and then seeing them come together to make a massive move on this home. Project was just wonderful to watch. I truly enjoy watching both shows and laughing with the crewmembers thank you guys.! ❤😊👍🏼🤗💞
Love these guys. Too funny. Be kind to each other. Stay safe. Love to all
I'll miss them, but can't wait for the rest of this house build. I love it when you mention Arlo but it does sound liked he's deceased not retired lol ❤❤ X from England UK .
He’s living his best life now😂
Its all coming together now. Looks amazing. Well done to everyone on the build. All the best from Thailand guys 👌👌👏👏🙏🙏🇹🇭
I've really enjoyed this collab.
What a great set of shows with some amazing collaboration! It was also really interesting to see the different views, experiences, and practices the Stud Pack folks brought.
I hope you two groups team up again!
I’m sure we will again. We really do mesh very well.
Paul has a good eye for level. I'm glad that Stud Pack did a collab with you guys because I want to see more of your content. Going to have to catch up on more videos you've done. You guys are entertaining.
This house is unusual, so having 2 major contractor (from different state) made it thrilling to watch 🍾🥂🫶🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thanks for the ad u did on the vevor hose system cause I didn’t know I needed one till you showed it off! 😊
Always loved the large crew projects!
Back in the late 80's through the 90's, we had ten crews, 7-10 guys per crew. We built whole subdivisions, 400 homes, semi-custom, 2000- 2800 sq-ft. I built many a model, and many of the last homes in a sub. We also built several large Condo projects, usually with several of our crews together. Eventually, early 2000's, did many large customs over 5000 sq-ft, after the building boom crashed.
Stud pack seem like cool guys, and I might check out their channel, but I like watching your team work together.
The coolest collaboration I've ever seen!
Glad to be among top ten comments. Watching from Biella Italy
Jamie, in regards to the 2x2 you used on the corners for the Zip system, take a look at Steve Basic architect video called "FRAMING DETAILS and More" at 5:07. The framing guy rabbits the zip on one edge to overlay the other zip edge. Might be an interesting addition to your builds in the future...
Great colabreation guys. Can't wait to see the Perkins Crew in Texas.
The one sheet of advantech at the end in the drone shot had me loling 😂😂😂
having a bigger crew is a big help in getting some momentum on big jobs
Rad was biggest productivity add. he up'd the vibe too. can work wherever he wants after these vids.
This house will have a garage... I don't think I've ever seen y'all put one in one of your homes before.
House is looking great.
It’s definitely the first recorded one… and doing it above the slab is more difficult. Stay tuned 😂
Looking forward to it.
Vevor is even making it's way into Australia (just thought you'd be interested!) I've already made my first purchase! 👍 Thanks again for sharing guys, as a ex- chippie, I absolute love & miss the industry especially the domestic, I found us smaller crews got along very well & knew what each of us was good at yet large crews like on Commercial or multi story jobs, that seemed to get lost. I can say all of you with the Stud Pack guys just seemed to jell very quickly, you get that when everyone cares!! The more I watch you, the more I want to pull the nail bag back on (even if it might only be part time!) Cheers from Oz!!
always making my sunday night.
...so cold it burns me teeth. Classic Jay!
Absolutely cool having StudPack on your build PBB!
@16:02 Jaime: "Another thing, and this is actually maybe important..." 🤣
ALWAYS Great content, PBB! I truly like your attention to detail Eric, Jaime, and PBB BOYZ!
The father of the STUDPACK crew seems like a really nice and humble man. It's nice to know there's a Texas crew I could probably try to reach out to to build something for me. Have a safe and wonderful weekend, PBBs and SPs!!
11:04 cool trucks you’ve got there. I really like the blue one 🤪
Watching these videos keeps giving me a sense of Deja Vu and then I realize I saw the scene in the Stud Pack version. Haha.
"Bunch of suck ups" that is the quote of the year there 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I really like watching your videos. The fun, the amount of different work you do. Every now and then I learn something new. This levelness issue is wondering me though. Have you ever thought about shimming under the double top plate? That would be easy, fast and eliminate all that fixing while building...
Y’all owe Studpack a big shoutout. It’s because of them I’m subscribed to y’all. JOIE DE VIVRE!
That goes both ways, I’m sure.
Eric: let’s leave the truss
Also Eric: where’s the planer? 😂😂
You understand him well😂
And thanks for having us too! 🔨🤟
Those bolts on a street sign are also there to snap so when someone runs it over they don’t bend the mounting plates.
Omgosh. I found your channel 2 weeks ago . I must of almost watched every video . Thank-you for making time of sick from work fun :)
I made the same mistake; I found the channel about 6 weeks ago and then binge watched their back catalogue. Now I am stuck waiting several days between episodes like everyone else. I should have rationed them out.
@@unkierich😂
@@RayJones-PBB is this the Ray with the best quote ever? How do you grow a beard like that, you just stop shaving! BRILLIANT!
This house is going to be amazing
For the steel plates, it’s best to get something like 12 or 16 gauge plates cut out to use to set your threaded rod, that way when they cut the thicker plate for end use they match up perfectly!
Great teamwork guys. Very professional.
Stud Pack and Perkins...NICE!!!
So I just showed my hubby the retractable hose thingie and he loved it. Might have to get it. Thanks guys and I love your videos
You guys are seriously AWESOME. Best channel on UA-cam in my opinion.
Overly impressed with what yall do. Keep on keeping on!!!
Arlo shoutouts/wisdom is the best. Thx guys for killing it daily.
Shout out to the drone shot of a drone because you had two whole UA-cam crews
Top flange mounted hangers are another option for truss to girder truss connection.
It's amazing how the two teams worked as one and so productive on this HUGE house.
Fun to watch your group interact with Studpack, when you are having fun it makes those tough jobs go much faster. In some ways I'm sure you're sorry to see them go. However, you all have fun any way, so carry on!
Man always pull a line and cut each stud to fit. That's what we call good framing. But love the videos and keep it up. Thanks
This a tip for Jeremy, to make sure the bolts alway alway line up you make metal template out of sheet metal or 1/2 ply board make 2 of them you keep one and give to who ever make the 1/2 metal plates, then you set your bolts with your template and when the 1/2 metal ones show up they will fit perfectly every time. when had to set light poles I always did it this way they always fit perfect ( JEREMY PERFECT ) you're welcome
Hate to see the stud pack go. Paul is a true craftsman, Rad is just very maneuverable and gets the job done, and Jordan is cooler than the flip side of the pillow. Be careful going back to Texas guys. Great work Perkins crew! Coming together nicely
Cooler than the flip side of the pillow. Never heard that one. I like it.
@@darrenmarsh2290 its lyrics to a song called you make me smile
@@debby8428that’s awesome! My uncle used to say that all the time, now I know where it came from. You just made me smile. I miss that old codger. Thank you
@@terencemerritt My husband says the song reminds him of how he feels about me. We are married 42 years. That was one of the nicest things he ever said to me! I'm glad I could make you smile!
@@debby8428 awe. 🫢 that’s super sweet of him. Congrats on the 42 years and counting! My wife and I are going on 12, and hopefully 50+ to go
Hopefully the next time the Perkins are in between jobs (if that ever happens) they can head to the Lone Star state for a few days.
Only one man would dare give me the raspberry.
Lonestar.
Really love to see Paul on site with his years of wisdom.... He just "gets it' like old guys do who've been around the block ("split the difference" and he nods knowingly). Your crews work great together! I can appreciate the logistics of scheduling and driving to the job site to help out, and I know you guys are all crazy busy.
great colab with Stud pack! more followers for the studs!
On those steel beam load plates, you might apply some anti-seize compound on those bolt threads for adjustment. Metal to metal dry might gall because of that load.
Thanks for the great content. You also saved me £5 off a retractable vevor hose reel with the discount code. Legends.
Hope the pipe isn’t “wank”. Love from the U.K.
Actually crazy how fast this part of the build is compared to the concrete forms!
been missing the videos and BAM, youtube suggestion pops up.Thanks for all the jokes, laughs and uplifting words
Watching you guys set your nail guns on Zip is crazy. I’m here in Massachusetts, I watched a South American crew of guys just smash the entire zip board in to make it fit on a $950k 1500sqft home. Like smash the actual board to wood chips and then just tape over it. All the nailing was over penetrated, like you could kick the sheet off the wall. All the new home builds are like that here.
The home inspection UA-camrs could make years of content here. No straight walls, bellied floors, missing hangers, trash finish work. I once seen an entire development built by guys who didn’t own a level.
blame the developer and his contractor and the inspector that got paid off.
Sounds like you need to “figure it out”.
@@RayJones-PBB not my contracts. Not my jobs. Minimum wage is $15hr here. Have seen reputable contractors on most home builds in 4 years.
Great collab, let’s see you guys help out stud pack!
" Eric Perkins Construction " 😂😂😂 Good luck with Jaime 😂😂😂
Stud pack and perkins
Is there a better collaboration ever?
That was a great group of guys
Awesome week watching you guys and Stud Pack
All good things come to a end man that's a big house
Glad to see Eric's EYEcrometers are still working.
Team Studpack and team Perkins brother's it was great to see you working and have fun times together. Thanks for sharing guy's take care and be safe.
Some could argue that a triangle work station will help with square cuts
That’s deep….
The part whit the cup was genius. Makes you see what a little thing can do.
Enjoyable seeing you pros working together! Thanks for sharing!
Best series on the tube!
These guys are awesome..
I was thinking the same as the previous commenter regarding Arlo. I would love to see him show up two days a week as his “Farewell Tour”. But MAN!, you could use him on this monster.
We could definitely use him!
I am not a construction engineer but I would think that the purpose of the strong backs or at least the perpendicular members is not to redistribute the load but rather to ensure the load is applied correctly. Those floor joists are designed to be strongest when the load is applied to them in one direction only. By bracing them, you are ensuring they don’t buckle in strong cross winds.
i call those saskatchewan corners, but ya, fill'em for sure. they are clearly not as strong or create a void ect to be avoided. do your layout the width of a sheet over, works good
Cardinal Sheathing! 😂
Brilliant work from both teams. Love both channels. Keep up the great work.
Amazing series of video! I love the colab.
Bintched all the episodes 😆❤️...love from South Africa 💪👌
