You could also use a point tracker on each upper corner of the Tic-Tac. Publish the poly-line points and connect both lower points to the corresponding tracker position.
Question... How to go back to the painting line if you click outside the node to check how things are going? Once I click back on the Paint1 node, I can't find the line to be able to move it around on the next keyframes. Thank you
Love your work man - Could you add a planar tracker to the node before or after the wire removal? Then you wouldn't need to keyframe? How would this work as a method?
That could work but I think it'll depend on the background. Sometimes the result is great right away but sometimes you really need to get in there and tweak it manually.
Great! Seems like I should switch to DR. What is you PC/ Mac configuration? And what PC configuration do you recommend on a budget level? May be on a low budget level?😅😅
I have a 2018 MacBook Pro but it struggles too sometimes so for some projects I have to use proxies. I'm saving up for a new M1 Mac Mini. Seems like the best option for video editing on a budget in the Mac environment. I'm not familiar with the PC configurations 🤔😄
Wish I'd find a tutorial that could cover: 1. Spots instead of wires [to remove dirt] 2. Utilizing Motion Tracking, as there are cases which it'll be insane to keyframe frame by frame ...
Till then, I'll try to pull it off in After Effects. Should be easier there. But if someone bumps into my comment, I'd love to see how it's done in Davinci [gotta remove dirt from a window that's placed in front of a subject so the dirt travels all over the subject and needs convincing wire removal effect]
Nice Tip. Thanks 4 your video. Question 4 U. I am using DaVinci 17. When done with creating my videos, they end on a black screen with vertical zig zag lines. Not sure what that is all about. So when I upload to UA-cam it shows black bars when the video finishes. Ugg. So, how do I get my videos to not show that zig zag lines at the end? I want my videos to STOP on a picture of my choosing. Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brilliant video Joris, how long have you used DR for? you seem to be so good at it, and by the way, thanks for the call out links you gave me from your last video, it was so useful thank you
It doesn’t have to be super plain but the busier the background, the more work it needs and at some point it needs more than just the wire removal tool. Also difficult to say because sometimes I think it won’t work but when I try it looks great. And of course, just as many times the opposite is true. I guess it’s best ro do a test shot first to try it out.
exactly what I needed, let's try
So cool! Didn't know there was an actual wire tool. Davinci is so cool :D
Thanks Joris!
And it works so well! Just my computer can't handle it that well 😅

Straight to the point, Joris Hermans style

Love your content ❤
Love your comment. 🙏🏻
Thanks!
Followed! Awesome content
Is there a way to track the movement of the rope/wire instead of doing it frame by frame?
I discovered this channel today and subbed right away btw :)
Yeah, you can use the tracker in the Color page. Should be plenty of tutorials on that topic on YT.
How do you do it on a dark background? This tool creates a spot for me and it looks worse than the wire. Could you use the clone tool for it?
thanks it's very easy
thx.
Amazing
Thanks ...
And thank you for watching 🙏🏻🔥

Precies dit moest ik hoog nodig weten!! Werkt trouwens beter dan in AA

Hey, is it working in davinci 18 too?

thanks for this! is there an eraser tool please?

@@JorisHermans And I'm not familiar with Mac configurations😅😅 Huh! I need to upgrade anyway!
Maybe check out some M1 Mini reviews... seems overall like a great option.
@@JorisHermans Will do that! Thank you🥰🌟
Thank you. Now I know how to fake poltergeist videos. And how other people do it. :)

Started using DR pretty much a year ago but I have a history in teaching Photoshop so I guess the learning curve is less steep for programs like that.
@@JorisHermans no way really? A history of teaching photoshop. That's awesome I never knew that. I'm also trying to learn alot from photoshop too.
can u track the wire and the connect stroke to track path?
Haven' tried it myself yet but that should work, yeah.
I clicked away from my spline while key framing. It disappeared. How do I make it show back up to finish key framing?
Excuse me, where is the part where Resolve moves its *** a bit and automatically track the lines ? What is this 1999 manual keyframing activity !?
from where do you get the background music???
how to use tracker in this case
Do you have to have a neutral plain looking background for this to work?
It doesn’t have to be super plain but the busier the background, the more work it needs and at some point it needs more than just the wire removal tool. 👍
What if there is a busy background?
Depends, sometimes it does a great job, sometimes you have to tweak it manually.
